~Si!~Chan!~ In my school the trumpets are evil with everyone. Except for the select few they all have extreamly huge egos. Nothing against trumpets, I think it's just the ones at my school, I've met some pretty cool ones at other schools. heh. i think its kinda typical for trumpet players to have huge egos. i do... but without out first chair, we're told to play louder and the lower trumpets are always yelled at to give more.... i think our flutes and trumpets get along... i am a trumpet and my boyfriend is a flute...

The flutes and trumpets never talk in our band. But when we do, it is usually to yell at them for being stupid or they are laughing because one of us did something stupid.

Trumpets are way better. I'm not trying to be mean stare but trumpets can do much more than flutes and you can here them better.P.S. I play trumpet mrgreen

The flutes & trumpets in my school get together well.
But then again, everyone gets together with the trumpets.
Haha, our trumpets are pretty perverted.
It's really funny.
Haha and we kinda blame them for everything.

I love both trumpets and flutes, flutes sound so pretty and I once was a proud trumpet player (then I switched schools and picked up my secondary instrument). This is all I have to say about flutes, sitting next to them can cause hearing damage.
oh, I guess I should throw something in about the topic. I've never realized a rivalry between flutes and trumpets. In our school the trumpets are notorius for playing everything wrong. We do diss the 1st trumpet because she is too loud most of the time (deffinatly a marching season trumpet).

I play both, so yeah it's kind of difficult to decide which I like better. Yes, I just started playing the trumpet today but dammit I still play it!!!
This is what I have to say to both of my sections even though they probably are not going to read this.
This is what I have to say to the flutes; don't diss the trumpets until you've actually tried the instrument. I'm having a hard time with it. It's really hard to control it and my lips feel like they're going to fall off. Just sort of back off of the trumpets. Yes, you do play to soft and you do need to play louder sometimes. I play the piccolo as well so I know loud when I hear it.
Trumpets; listen to the flutes. They may seem like snobs sometimes and they are pretty critical but they actually do have good advice. Yes, you need to softer and not suck so much. That's just a fact in life.

i play trumpet, and our section leader is *a bit* obnoxious at times
lol the whole band loves him anyways
one of my best friends is a flute though
*and* the best piccolo in the school - even though shes just a sophomore

in my band the flutes and the trumpets always have competitions and yell at each other sometimes its kinda cool though i play the flute the one competition we had was who could play the loudest guess who won??
