I shave, but since I often wear jeans, I only do so when it becomes easier to see. There are so many other things I have to do then shave every three days or so. In the winter I sometimes go longer, because my skin gets dry and shaving makes it worse.
I shave under my arms more often though, because the process is quicker. Plus, my leg hair is sometimes lighter and thinner.

Yeah, like , I always get night-shadow. Even right after I shave!! So, I do arms because a) I wear a lot of t-shirts when i play sports (duh) and b) growing it keeps in oder. (yeah I can't spell, sorry)

Come on, look at.. uh.. ok, I'm pretty sure that topic is not for gaia.. but in some special type of videos, like 10 years ago they didn't shave that part, but now it's always shaved. It's just another long-term fad! Socalisation, like CasualStranger said!! So dangit, no should's!! domokun I just don't have a lot of hair on my legs, so unless someone is due to come really really up close and start touching my legs I wouldn't frantically shave them. Especially not in the winter - dangit, do you know what the hairs are there for? To isolate the air around your skin! To make sure you don't freeze to death looking all stylish and cool! Also, my boyfriend doesn't even think about it, it's just not a problem. Armpits, though... armpits get sweaty, bleh. razz Shaving that part helps keep a nice feeling, wouldn't leave that unshaved, but that's mostly because I don't like that feeling. ...and socialisation.... razz I bleepin' hate current society!! GAHHH!!! And everyone just seems to take these things as universal truth! (Not you guys, but you know, in general. I usually don't shave unless someone's going to see my legs, which is about never because I always wear jeans. But when I'm depressed, shaving cheers me up for some reason. Like, I'm taking care of myself or something. I shaved last night. I'm all smooth now xp
I always shave under my arms, though, because if you don't then they stink worse.

I shave only when I really have to (legs & armpits)- going to a fancy dance or something, I didn't shave even during the whole of cross - country season when I wore shorts all the time, but nobody really cared because we were all hippies on the cross - country team anyway. That's what we were known for! There was an unofficial rule on the team that once you joined, you stopped cutting your hair . . I haven't cut mine in about 8 months, I think! biggrin

Nope! I did for about a year (peer pressure, darnit!) but now I don't...takes too much time, I usually nick myself, and plus...what's the point?
(and btw, I don't think shaving is "bad" or anything...it's just not for me. )
I do shave my armpits, however.

I shave my legs when I feel like it, mostly a lot in the summer when I'm wearing skirts and shorts, and not so much in the winter. In the winter it's when it's neccessary.

funny story, well kinds.
i shave my legs every so often, when i wear a skirt to work, or capri's or whatever, but mostly i just don't care.
but as for my arm. well, my friend and i have this tradition. really the only time we see eachother is at the ness creek folk festival, in northern saskatchewan, canada. and every year we see who's grown their armpits longer, and then we sit on the beach and braid it.
i always end up shaving it off a while afterwords, and keep them pretty groomed until new years, when i start growing them gain.
it is much fun.
the worst though, is when you have to wear a bra to work, or some function or something, and your armpit hair gets stuck and pulled by the edge of your bra.
