Katsumi walked over to her sister and the new stranger, "Sorry i didn't awser you ealier Elaina, i was lost in my thoughts" she turned now to the newcomer, "so your the reason for the noice" she noted her pale face looking worse in the moonlight, she eased a smiled onto her face and nodded. "Elaina, where are the others? sleeping still?" she pondered.

"Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares..."

Her absent murmur seemed directed to the air more than any one person. Then the woman turned to the girl who'd spoken, and a warm smile curved her lips up ever-so-slightly. Removing a hand from her pocket, she put her arm around Kat's shoulders and nodded in the direction of their new guest.

"Yes, he and his friends have come to investigate our home, or so it would seem."

Another dry chuckle.

"Never a worry, dear heart. The girls are awake, and occupied elsewhere."

The taller blond's attention came back to the boy standing on the steps in front of her. She seemed, for a longer space of time than was completely comfortable, to be looking through him. Then into the silence, she spoke, again almost absently. A strange habit for a girl to have.

"You may call me Elaina. This is my darling sister Katsumi."

"Nice to meet you two. My name is Jason. Don't worry, I won't kick anymore of your doors." Jason replied to Elaina as his eyes wondered between the two girls. He pondered how she knew that he had friends with him when they obviously were not present. They couldn't have looked out the highest window and saw them past the deadly forest. But that was the reason for going to this mansion. It seems the dwellers already knew they were here or coming there. Seems like the gang has to be on their guard with Katsumi and Elaina or whoeverelse lives there. "Do you have avaliable rooms for us?" he asked. He knew that if there were five rooms that were scattered around the levels of the mansion, something would be very suspisious. Or the fact that there are only five avaliable rooms in the whole entire mansion would be even.

"Jason. Yes."

His name sounded thick on her tongue, her accent warming over the word as though it were strange to her and she wanted to savor the experience of learning it. Pleased, she turned her attention to his second statement.

"We have many guest rooms...we are rather out of the way, and not many come to visit. So, they are all unoccupied at the moment. The five of us can only take up so much space, after all."

The young woman who called herself Elaina gave a small nod, giving the answer his question with a small smile. Amusement lit her quiet eyes briefly.

"I would be pleased to show you to one. Your friends, too, if they would also like to do more than linger on the porch step."

Edward jumped out of the car after Jason. He stayed bahind, staring at the car a bit. Why was it broken?

"Even Jason couldn't fix it..." He mumbled, grabbing his guitar case. It was all he had taken with him, being a light traveler, and he never left anywhere without it.

As Edward headed toward the mansion, he was lost in his thoughts. At least the mansion was near where their car broke, but wasn't it a little ironic? He sighed, his soft footstes barely audible as he walked around to the back of the mansion, the way he always started out their investigations. The house didn't seem haunted.

Victoria sat, lounging in the overgrown courtyard behind the mansion. She layed visable to any passerbye's stretched out on the broken fountain and counting the stars. Though her subconscious ticked off the numbers, 143564, 143565, with her finger lilting in the air as she counted, her consciousness reflected back upon her history, something she always did.

Victoria hummed a melancholy melody tearing apart the suppresion holding them back, she could do that hide her memories at will.

As Edward finished the trek to the back of the large mansion, he noticed Victoria, sitting silently. He blinked, wondering if it was a mirage, then silently wandered around the beautiful backyard.

((AH! I didn't come back ! Sorry ><))

It came like a roll of photography, diffrent pages, diffrent memories. Some were faded and worn, others distilled and corrupted, a few black and white and others crystal clear. Her schooling forever ago, her sisters, her father, what she had left behind, a beautifull life to live forever...or walk forever.

Victoria blew at a strand of red hair covering her eyes and sat up, crossing her ankles and looking around. The storms her sisters conjured up breathed down upon her, growing and wheezing ready to burst. Her gaze was drawn by the soft footsteps to the man that walked through her gardens, it was there's but she tended it, kept the exotic plants alive and inreturn the kept her short attention span lengthened.

Edward's gaze once again flickered to the girl. He was surprised to see her gazing back at him. He stopped, one hand lightly brushing the wall of the mansion behind him.

"Thank you, Elaina and Katsumi for allowing my friends and I to stay here for the night." Jason said as he nodded slightly in gratitude. "If it is no trouble, may I get a tour of your home?" he asked politely. He wanted to see where everything was, what everything looked like in case, well, something were to happen. "Five girls." he pondered as he waited for one of their answers. It was extremly odd that it was five girls living in this mansion and none of the two seemed to be getting out as much due to their pale skin, shone in the moonlight through the window diagonally from his right. Something was very off here. Something was going on and soon the he and the gang would find out like their other adventures. Solving mysteries and such.

Dante took his duffel bag and trudge throuth the forest into the mansion. Hearing Jason's conversation he sat down on the nearest couch saying "Dante Jones is my name, thanks for the stay," he looked from Katsumi to Elaine and then went through his things in the duffel bag pulling out a notebook a pencil from his pocket and Dante began writing.

Victoria regarded the man with mild curiosity but all that came across her marbled face was her usuall blank stare. "Who are you?" She said soflty but loud enough for him to hear, her voice like a music box. She lifted her chin a little and looked down at him from her perch giving her a look of aristocrasy before she tilted her head back down and to the other way, making her red hair fall away from her dark glinting eyes.

Edward slowly looked over the girl, anticipating what would happen.

"The name's Edward." He stated, his voice soft, but it carried well compared to the girl's. He glanced back at the mansion, wondering what his friends were doing inside. At least, if anything went wrong, they knew where he was. His gaze returned to the girl, awaiting an answer.

"Most certainly."

Elaina executed an elegant curtsy that conjured images in the mind of aristocratic ballrooms, despite the denim and cotton she was clothed in; it was a move that should have been archaic and awkward, but she made it art in motion.

"I would be honored to show you."

As one of Jason's cohorts appeared behind him, the young woman offered another studied, polite smile as she examined him with her eyes. At his introduction, she inclined her head graciously, blond hair drifting over her face and back with the movement.

"Be welcome in my home, Master Jones. As our guests, you are welcome to wander our home as you please...except the North Wing, our private quarters. There, I cannot allow you to enter unless invited by one of us. Decorum, you understand."

Nothing in her posture or manner seemed threatening, but there was warning in her tone as she spoke of the section of the house that was off-limits to the five strangers. Then her small, demure smile had returned, and she directed it at the one who called himself Jason.

"Where would you like to start?"
