Ryuuko raised his head as he listened, ears back against his head easing forward a little.
"Its sounds... wonderful, Chambua. I just don't know... I've been alone for so long." He shrugged as he shifted a little nervously, embarrassed by his hiesitation. Would this male think him a coward? Perhaps he was, but he disliked his new friend to think of him that way, because he did think of him as a friend now, though they hadn't known each other long.
"What about you, though? Do you travel alone all the time? Don't you get... lonely? I would rather I had good friends and companions to travel with, I think." The fire of adventure was starting to catch hold inside of him, the solemn adult he was forced to be giving way somewhat to show the lively young adolescent he should have been, but never had the chance.

"There are many things in the world you won't know. That is the beauty of the unknown. We may never know what we'll see or hear or smell the next morning, but we get up anyways. Some spend their whole lives pursuing the mysteries of life, wanting to know all there is to know. It all depends on your perspective of the unknown. It can be frightening, or it can be a challenge. An adventure if you will." Chambua gazed off into the Savannah rather dreamily. He loved the prospect of the unknown, of problems yet to be solved. It was rather thrilling.
He was brought back down to earth when Ryuuko started speaking again, and he turned his green eyes back to the young lion. "Alone? Well, for the majority of my travels I do. But I make a habit of stopping and conversing with the locals wherever I go. It does get lonely, sometimes, but most times I am too busy thinking to even consider the prospect of being lonely. But indeed, having companions on a journey is much better than going out alone. You are welcome to come with me, Ryuuko, if you so desire."

The young male took in the other's words as he listened, thinking them over and taking them to heart.
"You're right... the unknown should be an adventure." He nodded as a slow smile spread over his face, feeling a sort of confidence he never had before. Yes, it would be nice to see the world beyond this sad little place. Good to see things he'd only heard stories, or dreamed, about.
His eyes widened as he recieved an invitation to join the older male on his travels, suprised and elated. "Y-you mean it, Chambua? Really, truly?" He bounced to his paws, joy transforming his face. "I... I would love that! I think I could be brave and travel, if I could do it with you. If you really want me, then I want to come!" A strange thing happened then, a bright laugh breaking from him. It happened so rarely that he wasn't used to the sound, blushing as he ducked his head in embarrassment.

Ah, now there was a smile! Chambua was quite pleased that what he was telling this young male actually had an impact. Ryuuko seemed like he needed a bit of a helping hand when it came to experiencing the unknown, and the lion wasn't about to let his need go unfulfilled. Not when he could lend a paw, so to speak, and teach Ryuuko what it was like to be a wanderer. Then, if the young male decided he was content, they could always go their separate ways and remember fondly the companionship they had shared, no matter how brief.
The male couldn't help but laugh a little at Ryuuko's excited reaction, glad that his offer had been met with such enthusiasm. "Of course I meant what I said. I rarely say things that I don't mean, and I definitely don't make offers to people when I don't intend to follow through. I would very much like for you to travel with me. I think you'll enjoy the world out there, and it will allow me to see things in a different light. Some of us forget how beautiful the world around us is, and need others to remind us." Chambua rose and stretched, giving his mane a shake. "So... where would you like to go first?"

Ryuu laughed as he bounced to stand at Chambua's side, his eyes shining.
"I've never been anywhere, remember? I don't know where to go. Why don't we just go wherever you were going, before you stopped? Seems like a good place to start." He shook his head vigoriously to resettle his mane on his neck, looking more animated than he had in a long time. His face glowed with his smile and he felt filled with energy.
He felt a moment's hiesitation, but dismissed it. He might never return to this place, might never be able to find it once he left, but he wouldn't let it hold him back from an adventure that would truly change his life, and hopefully for the better.

Chambua laughed. "Of course. I had momentarily forgotten." It seemed that Ryuuko had no where in particular that he wished to visit. That made the lion's life a little easier. Ryuuko would just wander with him from place to place, meeting those who they ran into and generally avoiding trouble. Yes, that sounded like a good life.
"But no matter, we shall start your adventure today, and if ever you get tired of my company then I will gladly escort you back here where you can stay until another adventure calls." The lion offered Ryuuko a reassuring smile, before setting off at an easy trot. Let the adventure begin!
