I like learn to live and all the original songs from the game but I'm sorry. the best Sonic song wasn't from a game. FASTEST THING ALIVE (theme song to SatAM) is the best.

The best Sonic music I like so far is Sonic CD USA and japanese version! They both rock!

Listening to my Sonic Heroes soundtrack right now, I can't help but wonder how Crush 40 hasn't gotten more of their work in other games (outside of NASCAR, when they were Sons of Angels). Not that they don't have an impressive portfolio within the Sonic series, but it would be interesting to hear them in other games.

Bet it'd be fun to play some of their stuff on Guitar Freaks... razz

"Open Your Heart" has to be my favorite...I remember turning Sonic Adventure on being so excited and then that song started playing during the intro...I fell in love with that whole opening sequence XD...It made me realize just how much I loved video games...and knowing already I love computers it only made sense for me to do what I'm doing now which is going to college to be a Video Game Designer <3......"Open Your Heart" kind of captures the whole feel of SA for me, the lyrics and the music.

I also like Knuckles theme despite the somewhat cheesiness of the lyrics and the fact that I hate two catagories of music ((Country&Rap)) so it doesent make sense for me to like it....And yet I do XD....Probably just because...well darnit I love that red guy ;____;!

And of course theres the song I like just because its always getting stuck in my head which is the Spring Yard Zone song XD Its so....bouncy XD.....And the carnival/casino level songs ._.;....Never can get them out of my head XD....

I'd have to say that one of my favorite recent Sonic Songs is, "Supporting Me", from SA2. It's the song that plays during the first Biolizard battle. The song is oddly dark for a Sonic game, and really sets the mood for the fight.

I also like a remix I heard of the Mystic Cave Zone theme called, "Strip Mine".

I've never made it that far, but consulting my soundtrack, I can suggest the following (anyone confirm these?):

Last Boss ver 1 Metal Madness
What I'm Made Of... / Last Boss ver 2: Metal Overlord
Event: Finale... Adventure Must Go On

Only What I'm Made Of has words. I love that track myself, the lyrics are quite emotive and the music fits them.
