Aderes yanked her head back as hard as she could with the tiny horses mane still grasped firmly in her fanged jaws.
Syipher let out a yelp as he was pulled backwards, directly into Scarlets path.
Aderes let go of Syipher's mane, and with a quick motion sunk her teeth into the back of his neck along the line where his mane grew from. She growled with pleasure as blood filled her mouth from her 'meat shield'.

Scarlet twisted out of her coarse and grazed Syipher with her hoof. She landed on her side and screamed when she felt the ground under her. Struggling she got back up and thought really hard about what Nenharma had taught her. The knee is the weakest point on the body. Right. And so Scarlet followed her two leggers advice, never knowing before hand she'd need it.
However she pushed her memories aside and dashed around the skinwalker and bashed as hard as she could into the side of her front knee. She carried through and came out on the other side not knowing the effet or if her attack even worked.

Syipher jerked as he was hit, ripping the skin around where Aderes fangs lay sunk deep into his flesh.It was painfully, and as fear began to creep up and overcome his worry he began to panic.
Aderes gloated at the tiny soquili's fear, the scent unmistakable to her sensitive nose. She didn't even notice the other walking hunk of flesh moving towards here rapidly and manically. It was not until lightning bolts of pain ripped through her foreleg that she payed attention to the mare. Aderes screamed in pain and released Syipher from her jaws. Furious and somewhat confused she kicked Syipher away from her with all her might, sending his tiny body sliding several feet from her. Franticly Aderes got to her hooves, pain continuing to streak through her. resting most of her weight on her uninjured legs, Aderes lunged at the mare. Her knee wasn't broken, otherwise she could never have gotten up; but Aderes was injured. Each movement made her feel as though her knee would buckle.
Syipher scrambled to his feet, unable to feel most of his body due to pain from the powerful kick from the skinwalker. He could tell something was wrong with Aderes by her scream, but that didn't mean the flesh eater couldn't still do harm. Syipher dashed to Scarlets side and nudged her sharply for her to run. "Lets go!" he called not paying attention to the Skinwalker but hoping Aderes was not able to attack.
Aderes yet again misjudged her leap, and landed shortly behind the two usdias where she was just able to by stretching her black furred neck out snap her teath on the short tail of the mare. "Damn..." Aderes thought as she realized 90% of it was just hair.
((Sorry for the godmoding, but I though Syipher needed to save the day more since Scarlet saved him when he was supposed to be saving her xd ))

-sounds alright to me! I don't have a strict policy on god moading.-
Scarlet nodded frantically and squeaked as the skinwalker got her rump a little. "Don't have to ask me twice!" She didn't look back at the evil mare as she dashed along side Syipher. She didn't dare waste any breath speaking or doing anything but running. she could really see anything through the hair that bluew into her eyes but she kept running. She wasn't sure if Syipher was still with her and she felt horrible but fear had gripped her control and she couldn't stop. She would not be someone dinner. Not tonight.

Aderes lunged once more at the tiny mare.
Syipher rushed Aderes, throwing all his weight into the assault. His shoulder hit the mare square in the side.
Aderes, with already unsure footing and a partially injured let out a cry and toppled.
Syipher, with Scarlet ahead of him, dashed forward, his mane and tail fluttering behind him like a palomino flag. "Keep going!" he called out to Scarlet worriedly.
A howl of anger echoed behind the two, filled with both hatred and sadness. Aderes did not get up quickly enough from the last attack, and thus did not follow.
Syipher continued to run, fear gripping his heart for both Scarlet and himself. He would follow Scarlet, who had a large lead on him. He would continue to follow.

Scarlet rounded a boulder and stopped, whirling to face Syipher. She chuckled adn fell oto her side. "Th-that was... AWESOME! Did you see any of that?! I'd ran over a mile of busted pottery to see that! First you were all like "Oh my god!" Then I was all like "OH MY GOD!" Then you were just like, "OH HELL NO!" And that mare was like "ARG!" And then, here we are, safe and sound." She smiled and got up. "Isn't the custom to kiss me hero?" She smirked and took a step forward.

Syipher slid to a halt in front of the giggling Scarlet. How could she be this way after nearly being eaten!?! It had momentarily escaped his memory that this mare was random as hell, and that it had at one point scared him. As this came back to mind he began to wonder why it didn't scare him now.
"Uh..." It was all Syipher could say as Scarlet took a step towards him. He took a small step back from the advancing mare, unsure of what to do. Custom? He knew nothing to the customary actions of soquili after such a horrific event; he was still shaking after all from the fear and adrenaline.
"I guess it is..." He said after a moment, not wanting to look foolish if it was indeed the custom. He took a step forward towards Scarlet and closed his eyes, aiming a kiss at her cheek as he moved towards her.

Scarlet giggled again. "No silly! I'm supossed to kiss you! My two leggers told me stories of how galant warriors would save princesses and they would give them a kiss in return for saving them!" She tossed her mane and smiled again. "If yu don't want one I understand. After all, I do have cooties." The truly sad part was that she was being totally serious.

Syipher stopped in his tracks immediately and drew back quickly blushing. He had made a fool of himself anyway. "I'm no gallant warrior, I was just..." He paused in the middle of his sentence before he actually told her he had worried about her. He tossed his mane, getting the few strands of blood soaked hair out of his eyes. "I.. I... I... I guess I dont mind getting one. It is a custom after all." Syipher looked a little confused; he had no idea what cooties were, or whether or not it was a good thing to have them. He'd ask about them later.

Scarlet giggled and said, "Yay!" And she planted a small kiss on Syipher's cheek. She turned away and blushed. "You know what this means, right?" She looked over her shoulder and grinned. "Now you're mine!" she giggled again. "Mine forever, and forever you are mine!" She flipped her mane and sang, "Just kidding!"

'Oh, what did I just get myself into...' Syipher thought nervously as Scarlet began to chant that he was hers now. He took a few steps back from her, blushing harder than ever, before letting out a small sigh of relief when Scarlet mentioned she was joking.
A small spell of silence passed, Syipher still not knowing what to say. "Um.." He said quietly as he searched for something to say. "Maybe we should find a stream or something. That thing back there can probably track us by the smell of our blood, and you need to wash your wounds anyway." He pointed out the spots where Scarlet had been nipped. "We wouldn't want those to get infected now would we?"

Scarlet looked over with her big innocent eyes and smiled. "It nothing compared to yours! Seriously, look at you, poor thing!" Scarlet nudged him and winked. "I'd race you, but I'm a little beat. I'd win anyway." She smirked and side stepped away. "Come along then!"

He couldn't even feel where Aderes had bitten him tell the truth. It didn't really matter anyway to him, he couldn't see it and therefor couldn't worry about it. Flicking his long tail, he smiled back at Scarlet playfully. "Aww... you'd only beet me because I'd let you." A lie, but he was teasing her.
Syipher cantered forward, surprisingly energized after their confrontation, and began to lead them to the closest body of water he knew of. A bad Idea since the closest stream or river he knew of was over by where Harlequin lived. He paused. "Maybe it is better if you lead the way; I don't know my way around this area very well."

"I'll take you to the mountains. The waters there have healing powers! That's what my two leggers say anyway. Once Vallor was complaining of a head ache and Nenharma shoved his head under water and Vallor didn't complain anymore. They never TOLD me they have healing powers, but I'm not stupid!" The poor thing didn't know Nenharma was just tired fo Vallor complaining. But she moved forward as she talked anyway. "And once Saki bathed a cut I got in the water up there and it didn't even hurt anymore! It's amazing!"

Syipher had never been in the mountains, and the idea of going there now intrigued him. He believed there was no such thing as healing waters, but seeing Scarlet so happy he couldn't bring himself to tell her this. Syipher followed the mare unquestioningly for a while before stopping dead in the middle of a step. A sad look came over his face and all he could was hang his head and stair at the ground.
"Scarlet?" Syipher called out softly.
