Tanner's shoulders continued to heave as the boy sobbed on his father. "In a minute..." Don replied to Marshall as he continued to hug Tanner and rub his back assuring him that it'd be ok.
It was quite a sad sight. The love between the two of them was a great thing that a lot of children didn't have with their father. Finally Don kissed Tanner on both cheeks the traditional Itallian greeting and goodbye before wiping the boys eyes off.
"I'll be here right as your last class gets out on friday Tanner. And don't forget to call me to say goodnight later on ok?" Don said putting his hands on Tanners shoulders as the boy nodded and sniffled a bit.
"B-Bah d-daddy." Tanner said as Don stood up and started to walk towards the door. He felt like he was wearing cement shoes.

"S-See you later Dad..." Kale said, sniffing. He was trying to cheer himself up: He was going to see his dad again soon. This wasn't that bad. This wasn't that bad.
Marshall felt like a giant weight had been put on his back. It hurt, but no matter what, he wouldn't be able to lift this weight. Not for a long while. "...C'mon," Marshall said to Don, "I'll buy ya a beer...I think we need it..."

Don had to quickly rub away something from his eyes before responding to Marshall, "Thanks pal, but, I don't drink...thanks for the offer though." He said with as sincere of a smile as he could muster as they left the boys dorm room.

Kale stared at the door, feeling his heart sink a little. He then realized that it was just him and Tanner, and quickly dried his eyes with the side of his arm. "S-S-So..." Kale managed to say, tears still in his eyes but a smile on his face, "L-Lets do some thing. Its our first n-night together, a-and we should celebrate!" Kale said, trying to put his best friend in a better mood.

Tanner didn't know what to do, it was just then that the full force of his dad being gone hit him. Tanner closed his eyes tight hoping that when he opened them he'd be at home, but he wasn't
Tanner couldn't contain himself, the poor little boy started to cascade tears down his cheeks. Not knowing what else to do he turned to Kale and hugged him just crying, not wailing or sobbing, just crying.

"...D-Don't cry, Tanner...Please..." Kale said, crying himself again. Damnit! He didn't want to cry! He wanted to be just a little bit stronger! Some one had to! "I'm s-s-sorry Tanner...Please don't cry..." Kale sobbed, hugging his larger and much squishier friend. He was kind of happy that Tanner was built the way he was: He needed some thing soft to hug. It was kind of comforting.

"A-A-Ah'm s-s-sorry..." Was all Tanner could manage. He couldn't stop himself from crying and he took comfort int the fact that Kale felt similiar and was hugging him back instead of thinking he was a fool.
He wanted to go home, he wanted to go sit and watch a movie with Don. He wanted to be able to go to bed in his bed, in his room. He wasn't going to be able to. It made Tanner bawl his eyes out.

A few minutes passed, each one feeling like a few hours. And still the tears didn't stop. Finally, Kale finally managed to stop. He was still sniffling, and still in the grasp of his pudgy friend, but he didn't feel like crying any more. He was still sad, but for the first time in a while...He wasn't crying. He wasn't sure why. But he wasn't. He held his pudgy friend, who he only went up to mid-chest in height comparison.
"Its...Its gonna be okay Tanner...W-We'll see 'em soon, okay? Real soon...I-I promise."

"Uh-huh." Tanner said responding to Kale. He was still crying a bit the big oaf that he was. He was however slowing down and after a couple more minutes he finally stopped crying but he was still hugging Kale. The tauros boy had bonding and security issues, he never wanted people he loved to leave and having his best friend there to help support each other comforted him greatly.

"Now...For real this time...Lets, y'know, do some thing. Get some sodas, play with the Wii...Y'know, have some fun?" Kale said, smiling up at his friend. This time, for real, he smiled. This didn't have to be bad. It could be okay. It really could!
Besides, they only had five un-accompanied days until they had bedtimes and stuff again. They had to make it last!

Tanner wiped the tears away from his eyes as he looked down at his tiny friend. Feeling reasured now he smiled back feeling a little bit better.
"Ya, let's have a real fun time." He said mentally thanking Kale for the support.

New RP
"Ugh! I hate this weather!" Kale complained, staring out their dorm room window. It had been a few weeks since the term began, and the two boys had seemed to have adjusted to living in dorms just fine, minus a few problems (one involving Kale accidentally falling asleep in the bath-tub). Today, however, the rain had not let up. As a water-type Pokemon, Kale would be at a tactical advantage if he was in a battle, and he did some what enjoy the weather. However, it had been raining for two days straight now, and tonight? Chance of lightening and thunder.
"Ah well." Kale said, jumping off of his bed and landing will a dull thump on the floor rather gracefully. "Want a donut, Tanner?" Kale asked, opening up the box his dad sent him to school with this week. Each week Kale came back with a new toy or box of sweets, as a guilt-ridden Marshall found himself spoiling the boy.

"Uh, sure!" Tanner responded looking over his shoulder to Kale. The chubby kid was busying himself by watching the fish swim back and forth that Don had bought the boys. He wanted to get Tanner a pet, something more like a dog or cat, unfortunately the dorm wouldn't allow anything more then fish. And on a day such as this, there was little else to do then stare at them.

Kale handed a donut to Tanner before plopping down on his own bed, donut in mouth sleepily as he turned the Wii on, starting up the colorful start-up screen for Amazing Man: The Video Game. It was dreadful but with Amazing Man's grill slapped on it, Kale could care less.
"So, didja name your fishes yet?" Kale asked. As far as he knew, the fishes were Tanner's, even though he did like the two little guys. They reminded him of home for some reason.

"Thanks." Tanner said with a smile as he gratefully took the doughnut and downed it quickly.
"Ah dunno, Ah think Ah'm gonna name this one lonestar." He said pointing to one of the fish in the tank, "You can name one too if ya want." Tanner said with a smile as he looked over at Kale.
The rain was starting to come down a bit faster, it was hard to tell that it wasn't the evening anymore since it had been grey and gloomy all day but the clock told them it was seven 'o' clock, in a couple of hours Tanner would be falling asleep as he always did almost on the dot.
