Aponi blinked a few times at Malachite's friendly gaurdian and burst into a cheery smile, nodding. "Alright, Mr. Adrian." He did feel he was safe around friends, and decided he was in very good hands. He then gave Mal a friendly glance, more than ready to explore those interesting stones.

Giving Adrian a shy wave, he broke into girlish sprawls of chatter. "Hey, can you tell me about them?" He asked, guiding Mal away from his gaurdian with an eager hand towards the pretty green stones. "How do they work? I hear they can cure all sorts of diseases."

Adrian grinned at the fair-haired boy again, returning the wave before ducking out of the room.

Malachite looked a little surprised, but he was pleased that Aponi had interest in his stones and crystals. "Ehh," he began, looking over his collection quickly, "I read that their chemical and electrical properties are what help to heal people. They work best when placed on the right chakras." He picked up a stone and held it out to Aponi. "This is an emerald," he explained, "and when you place it over your heart chakra, it helps your heart, blood, and breathing. It also helps with non-physical things, too."

Aponi's slender fingers traced over the smooth stone in Malachite's hand, the shimmering green or the emerald reflected in his already midori-shaded eyes. Sweeping some thin strands of hair from his eyes, he returned his hand to his chest. "So, in theory, an emerald can help with heart disease and cancers...things like that?" He seemed very interested in the idea of cure with simple stones, and that hand heald steadily onto his chest made it seem like he could feel the change within him just touching the stone. "That's pretty amazing." He mumbled, letting a smile pass over himself.

"Mm," Malachite nodded. He turned back to his shelf, choosing a blue and green stone and showing it to Aponi. "This one is an e... ei... eilat stone," he said. "Adrian almost named me after it, but I'm glad he didn't. It's made up of malachite and another stone called chrys... chrysocolla. It can help with pain, fear, stress and stuff." He glanced over the rest of his collection, trying to see if there were any other interesting crystals he could explain. The last thing he wanted to do was bore his guest. "You wanna know more?"

He smiled, a reflex his mother adored, and ran his eyes through the stone. He thought Eilat was a pretty name, but Malachite suited the green-haired lad. He scratched at his neck, nodding. "Unless you have an idea..." He picked at his fingernail timidly, he had never been at anybody elses house before, what do you do on playdates?

Malachite set the stone back in its place on the shelf. "Well," he said, glancing around his room before turning back to Aponi, "I've got nail polish, if you want to paint your nails. I've got a few board games, some cards... there's also video games, if you like those. And we can listen to music at the same time, if you want."

To be quite honest, the idea of nail polish and music made Aponi giggle on the inside, but on the outside he acted as if it were a trip to the store. He nodded, rather casually, and held out his nails. He was a bit embarassed, but blurted out abruptly. "What color do you think would look best?" He blushed faintly, smirking. He was still a little weird about his situation, wether or not to like girl stuff was tearing his mind apart.

"Hmmm," Malachite murmured, glancing down at Aponi's nails, then back up at his face. "Green would match your eyes, but pink would match your shoes," he said, as if the two were somehow related. He looked thoughtful for a moment, chewing on the inside of his lower lip. He finally smiled and chirped, "Both!" before he opened one of his desk drawers. He pulled out a small, colorful plastic case full of different colored nail polishes and opened it, pulling out a few bottles. "Unless you really want something else," he added, just to be sure Aponi was okay with Mal's decision.

Aponi nodded in reply, he looked down at his shoes, then back to his colorless nails. Wiggling his fingers, he gave Mal a closed-eyed smile. "Sounds perfect!" He chirped, bringing himself to Malachite's side and searching the bottles, pointing to a nice forest green color and a not-so-subtle hotpink. "Do you think these colors will look okay?" The pale-haired child asked, before adding. "I've never had my nails painted, I want the first coat to be a suiting color, you know."

Mal squeaked happily when Aponi seemed pleased. He nodded, separating the two bottles he wanted from the rest. "They'll look fine," he said, setting the rest of the bottles back into his bag, save for one. "I'll have to put on an undercoat, since Miss Catzi said it keeps the polish on longer." He cleared off the desk and patted it, pulling back his chair to sit in it. "You can sit on the desk. It's easier to do it over here than on the bed." He wrinkled his nose, remembering Adrian's less-than-pleased look the last time he got nail polish on his bedsheets.

The pale child sat pleasantly, not nearly as timid as when he first arrived, now he was chattier then a darn chipmunk, his words were mostly about nothing. How much he liked the color polish, how he loved Malachite's hair, and wether or not his friend had any eyeshadow. That last part came out with a faint blush to the cheek, he made an attempt to touch his eyelid with his finger, but for fear of ruining the undercoat, he returned his hand to the desk and merely asked what he was going to show. "Obvious...but, do you have any pink eyeshadows?" He smiled, "Or black? We could do each other's eyes, make different styles and things, if you don't mind. And if you have the shades, ofcourse." He gave mal a quick look up and down. "I think your eyes would look very pretty with black and green shadow."

Mal blushed and gave quiet, humble replies to Aponi's comments. He finished brushing the clear undercoat on, checking Aponi's each finger to be sure each one had an even layer. "I think I have some eyeshadow in here," he said, blushing a bit at Aponi's last comment, and glancing into his bag. After confirming that there was indeed a few small containers of eyeshadow -- including pink, but not black -- he went back to Aponi's nails, alternating each finger with pink and green polish. "What kind of styles were you thinking of?" he asked, curious. "I could try asing Hana if we can borrow some of her makeup, but she might not be too happy about it..."

"Eye styles, maybe soemthing like a cat's eyes. You know, take some eyeliner or something and make your eyes appear to have long, obscured lashes...or twiggy ones." He smiled, eyes half-closed. "Something fun, like halloween makeup, only not so gaudy." He admired his nails, Mal was doing a very good job, in his opinion. "...Who's Hana?" He finally asked, pulling his eyes from his nails to Mal's familiar midori-shaded eyes.

Malachite giggled, nodding. "That sounds like fun! What are you going to be for Halloween?" he asked, finishing with Aponi's nails and beginning to rifle through his bag for some eye make-up. "Oh, Hana's my 'sister.' Her room is across the hall. She's always got an attitude, but sometimes she can be nice. You'll know her when you see her; she's tiger-ish."

Tiger-ish? How queer, a tiger for a sister. Aponi skillfully blew a few stray strands of cloud-white hair form tickling his forehead and thought, "I thought I'd like to be a kitten, but then I found these black feathery wings and decided i'd like to be an angel. Not a normal one, though, I'm gonna have straps and belts allover me, just to make it spooky." He had put a lot of thought into his costume, and was pleased, "Not as cute as a kitten, but it sure looks nice...what about you?"
