That is true, i was clinched for time when i made that post so i didn't get the chance to say that be political at times, and that he has an option to be a great political songwriter.

Well remember that Serj did not write nearly all System's lyrics. I believe Daron is the one who tends to be a bit more 'political'. And really, what is the definition of 'political', almost like asking someone the definition of 'normal'. Does political mean you care for other humans' rights? This could go many ways.

I know Serj isn't very political, I'm just saying he is good enough to have that option to write politically, and Daron does do most of the political writing. I would have to say that by political, I mean an outlook on the country and whats happening to the people in it.

Also.. would he produce a video if it didn't resound somehow with the original message he was trying to send. Details please.. So far, the only videos Serj has had input in are the ones he is DIRECTLY in (So not even Lie Lie Lie). This includes Sky is Over and Empty Walls only. Before Serj released Elect the Dead, he gave one song to 13 different director friends. He told them to make a video with any of their own ideas, interpretations, anything. So then they came up with the 13 different videos and sent them into Serj. So Serj has been releasing them gradually for the public to view. However, he did do ANOTHER video for Sky is Over with the same director who did Empty Walls. I'm thinking it's because Sky is Over is the next single, he needs to be involved in the video, for marketing purposes. sorry, no offence but ur a joke, ur jus after contradicting urself there on comments that both fit on my screen. first you said serj has had no say in the empty walls video the you said the only videos that serj had a say in was lie lie lie and empty, so i jus think is jus ridiculas, make a true statment or dont make at all, ty

They are not a political band, but they make political songs. In an interview, Serj quoted:
"We are not political. In fact 3 out of maybe 14 songs would be...somewhat political" And when you think about it. Hes right 3nodding

A picture of Serj was used for the Lie Lie Lie video and Serj was all over in the Empty Walls video. Then later, a new Sky is Over video came out. I know Serj did not have a say in Lie Lie Lie because it was one of those he handed out to his producer friends. Lie Lie Lie was directed by Martha Colburn. If you would read my comment correctly I said that Serj was only directly involved in Empty Walls because he was in it performing. And he was NOT involved with Lie Lie Lie. If you want talk about what's ridiculous...maybe speak in an understandable English and not all this Instant Messaging talk. Then I'll take you seriously.

I never once said I was perfect and I'm the first one to admit I'm far from it. However I do defend my points and what I say. I never said that I knew every last thing about them, nor would I even try. But I know what I know and this is what this guild is here for, to talk about what we know. And also I wasn't commenting on the sentence formations, but when when one uses 'u' for you or whatever I'm not going to take your opinion very seriously.
