Ash shook the reaming water off his fur as he noticed three other lions heading towards them. He watched as the slowly showed up and smiled at them. He watched Nadine closely and padded softly behind her, towards the tree. He plopped down gently on the ground as she lept up into the tree. He licked his paw and used it to finish cleaning off himself from the fish he had devoured.

He looked up at Nadine as she spoke. "Before you speak your protests, if you have any, please listen." He said as he turned his attention back to the three lions. "If we were to stay here, we would do just as Nadine said. Scaring off the other animals. Where would our food come from then?" He asked as he smiled warmly at them. "I know this will be tough but I'm confident that we can get through this." He grinned and looked up a Nadine. "Caves will be our best bet for shelter. We'll just have to make sure no other animals have made the caves their home. I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life. Which will include all of you and hopefully other lions in the future." He said as he nodded towards the small group.

Sachmet looked at the others who come over. She wondered if they were really nice like Ash and Nadine were. She listened to both of them as they spoke about moving towards the mountains and why it was a good idea. She nodded and looked around wondering what the others might think of this as well. "I'll go. It makes since to me. And there might be better and different kinds of food for us to hunt. I have yet to be up that way and i'd be very interested in seeing that area." she said with a small smile as she looked at the others to see if that helped them if they were thinking about not going with them. She hoped she would be on the good sides of them all. She didn't want anyone to think badly of her cause she really wanted to have friends.

Anya flicked her ears a little, listening to everyone. "Well, from the way I see it, we should be able to move. If we stay here and make the lake our home base, then it will scare off potential game. We have all the water we want, but what's the use if we have no food?" She tilted her head a little in question.

Van snorted. "I say we stay. To hell with that prey crap! This place has ample water supply, and we can use it as a trap!" He gave a slight pout, glaring over at Anya as if daring her disapproval.

"I think we should re-locate." Her voice was gentle, tail waving. "I believe it would be better since we can always find another source of water and prey. And it wouldn't be fair to wandering lions who needed something to drink, and rest." Her tail curled slightly as she hid behind the amethyst ligress.

The clothed lion snorted. "Fine. We move..." He began to grumble a little, hiding under his hat as if to cover his shame. Bested by two females...of a different species no less! Then again, he never had much luck with women.

From above, he would've been observed as a single dot of white against the sun-beaten landscape. The lion, however, could be seen more as a ghost-moving so swiftly it seemed his feet didn't touch the ground. And thus Kojo sprinted as fast as his feet could carry him to his new 'family'.

Why was he so far off in the first place? To put it simply: fear. At having so much on his plate, Kojo had grown anxious, and soon enough had turned sleepless thought into worry, and worry into something far exaggerated, and these too-troublesome thoughts into a good reason to flee.

But after a bit more thought, his mindset changed. It would be fantastic to have others-to have a family. No more living alone. No more starving. No more nearly escaping death day by day. And in this sudden decision he's raced back, and now stood very near the others. Instinctively, he dropped low and crawled into the circle, tail and ears down, as if expecting to be punished for his absence.

Seeing Kojo finally, sprinting toward them, Nadine smiled. "Come Kojo! We are moving to find a permanent home. We had feared you might get left behind and would have to track us." Turning to all the lions now, she might have had a flicker of fear pass across her face. Only those that best knew her would even recognize it. " We will leave as soon as possible, unless we want one more days sleep before the journey. What say you Ash, now? Or wait and rest till tonight." Turning to her trusted partner, she waited for a reply. She cared neither way, but was worried that Kojo looked a little tired from his running.

Ash looked around at all the lions. "Now would be best." He said as his eyes landed on Nadine and a smile crossed his face. "However, if anyone needs to rest, we can always wait for tomorrow." He nodded. He wasn't too picky about when to leave, as long as he was with Nadine he didn't care.

Taking one last look at Kojo, hoping he still had some energy in him, Nadine started at the rest. " Alright then, we go now. We're going to go around the lake to the river, and follow it up the left side here. What we find, who knows. Lets hope nothing but a nice home. " Smiling at the adventure, she turned tail and began to pad toward where she had just spoken of.

Calling back as the Artyum closed in ranks behind her, she let them know that if any of them needed to stop, or spotted danger to let her and Ash know immediately. With that, they began their journey.

Ash rose up and started off in the direction that Nadine was going. He nudged her slightly and smiled. "This will be quite the little adventure." He said softly to her. "I'm glad to be starting a new family." He said this louder as he looked back towards the small group. Finally, a family he could call his own. Soon, he'd have a place to call home as well. Two things he had never had in his life. He smiled wider and turned his attention back to the path in front of them.

Nadine grinned at the nudge. "Oh yes. Quite the adventure i think." She chuckled. As they padded along, she looked sideways at Ashoka. "Family is something i think will do you good. And perhaps, i think, some others back there. Life alone winds you a bit tight." She brushed some high grass aside with her face and plodded on. "I wonder if we'll meet any others along the way!" And laughing she pawed Ashoka back for the nudge.

"Family is a good thing." He said as he cast a gaze towards the ground. "I never realized how much I actually longed for one 'til I found you." He said as he looked back up. He laughed quietly as she pawed at him. Sniffing the air, he wondered the same thing that Nadine had just said to him. He hoped that if they did run into any other lions that they were friendly. While he was sure he could take one on, he didn't want to fight. Violence was the last thing he wanted at the moment.

Nadine blushed at what Ashoka said, and was glad that her fur colour hid said blush. Turning her attentions back toward the road before them, they continued on for quite a few hours. As the moon came up and night ran on, she finally stopped..

"I think we need to perhaps fish up some food and stay here for the night." Noticing the water was slightly more rapid here now that it was the river, there was a large still water a few paces up that she was sure they could get a meal out of. If not, they had eaten the day before, they would be alright for another day or two.

The trees were thicker here, though it was still grasslands. Finding the closest tree, Nadine plopped down into the soft grass. Licking at her paw, she had forgotten how hard it was to travel during the day. Growling at the tenderness she knew would go away, Nadine gave a look around. There wasn't much; four or five trees close by, two of them not even large enough to sit in. It would make due however, and she could neither smell or sense predators or other lions.

Ash's ears twitched as he surveyed the surroundings of the immediate area. He walked over to the river's bank and leaned down, lapping up some water all while staying alert. This was new territory and while he didn't sense anything, it was still best to keep watch. He finished up and sauntered over to Nadine and plopped down. While use to wondering and walking for long hours, Ash was still worn out by the seemingly short trip they had made so far. He yawned and made a slight roar as he did so.

Anya's body seemed to be begging for rest, but she continued. As the day slowly turned into night, she made frequent checks on Van and Cipher. Both seemed well off, and alright. Stopping for the night, she slipped over to the still part of the water and took a few sips before walking into the cool river. Her eyes were training upon the depths, muscles taut as if she was hunting.

A moment of silence seemed to rang by before Anya dove her head into the water. She came up just as fast with a small fish in her maw. The small thing was flapping about in her mouth, it's tail slapping the sides of her maw. Turning, she spat the fish onto the land and slipped from the water. "I think we need to find another source of food..." She said, poking at the thing with her paw before going back into the water for more fish.

Cipher gave a small whine. She was already tired, yet they had to hunt! However, she was part of this pride now. She had to prove her worth. "Alright! I think I'm going to look for something to eat." She turned to the clothed lion. "You should come with me. I think it would do you some good." She blinked a little, looking over him for a moment before slipping off into the forested area to hunt.

Van gave a low growl, but followed anyway. He'd rather be doing something than nothing at all, that was for sure. His new senses needed to be tested and this new body of his needed to be exercised. His small frame seemed to be engulfed by the forest as he followed Cipher trying to scent prey beast for their next meal. He didn't think he could go another day without food.

Noticing two of the lions walking off, Nadine got up to investigate. Her pads were painful, but they would be better by the the time they started traveling again. For now, this place looked fine enough to rest until they could eat and perhaps nap. She wanted to get going again before mid day tomorrow, where they could then rest for the remainder of the day. For now though, they had to eat and conserve strength.

Walking up to the lioness, she sat down on her hind quarters and cocked her head a bit to the side.
"Where are they off to? The hunt?" Hoping she didn't sound too demanding, she waited for the lioness to reply. It wasn't that she was angry, she just wanted to know where her pride was at all times on this journey, lest someone get lost or seperated.
