"Oh I know these woods really well. Mummy takes me for walks all the time. And my bird friends are all here as well!" She pointed up to the trees were all the night birds had been following them. Each little creature would take off and land on a branch slightly ahead of the young duo.

"How much protection do they offer though?" He asked, his eyes following the birds. Natural instinct to protect the girl kicked in, even though he didn't know her.

"Well, they always know when something strange is coming. They will always fly off in the direction away from it. So if they suddenly stop singing and fly away, I follow them. Besides, I'm kinda pointy, so most things don't want to attack me." She grinned a bit and motioned to the sharp points on her elbows and shoulders. They seemed to be part of her skin but were very hair and sharp.

"I'm a Holly Fairy! A spirit fairy so to speak." She pointed to the bright green plant as it grew near the house. "See, mummy found me in a bush like this. It always has these red berries like the ones in my hair and the pointy things like on my arms. What are you? You look like a sheep or something with your horns."

Alex grinned. "I'm a carpathian...or rather an unknown type. But blood's always a tasty thing. and funny... you look like a mistletoe."

Mistletoe giggled. "Oh then that must be some kind of vampire if you like blood. Mummy knows lots of vampires she does!" She blinked as he said she looked like a mistletoe and looked down at herself. "I do? I've never seen the plant before. Mummy says its a strange looking thing that hangs about in trees. But people kiss under it during the winter solstice." She giggled all girly about the kissing.

Alex smirked. "I guess. Skyling always says I seem different from a vampire but she could never tell me how different. And yes you do look like mistletoe."
He wrinkled his nose but couldn't help but wonder about the kissing under a mistletoe part...
