Finally hitting her stride in the water she closed in as quickly as she could on him, still splashing but actually growing a bit tired. Her arms were getting a bit heavy and she was actually breathing a bit harder. She chuckled as she closed in and threw a few obligatory splashes, shaking her head of as much water as she could at any free moment she got.
"Swimming's a bit tougher than running it seems," she laughed, and attempted to catch her breathe between her words.

Zeki smiled through saggy mane and fur, unable to see his eyes, he just gave a goofy grin.
"Does this mean I win, Lady Rhin? Are you giving up now?" He quizzed before splashing her a good few times before moving toward her. This was a good bath, nice forceful shots of water washing over sweat and dirt. Yeah, he would agree he was clean and tired now. He nuzzled her in passing, another bold step, but to him, he saw her just as any other female. Seeing a female unique and special seems to make her seem like an outcast... but at times he did see them alone as the individual.
"Perhaps it's a good time to head to my den and hang out there, you know, dry up in the sun while it's still over head."

Though Rhin could continue, she was rather exhauted and more than ready to head out of the water.
"As long as you don't go spreading it around...can't have my sister finding out, I'd never live it down," She flashed a tired grin and shook her head as she swam toward the edge. Initially she froze at the physical contact, her expression a bit quizzical, it'd been sometime since the last time she'd been so much as bumped in a non-aggresive fashion. She recomposed herself quickly and nuzzled Zeki in return as she followed him, still chuckling from time to time.
"That doesn't sound like a horrible idea in the slightest I suppose."

Zeki smiled over his shoulder and flicked his tail, the water droplets flinging off at her. He was a little tired too, with the run and now this? Quite.
"Fine, I won't tell anyone, but you may have to do some convincing," he winked and started off. He was not one to be phased by other's physical contact of affection or kindness, he did it himself and saw nothing wrong with it. It was just letting them know that he cared right? To let them know that he was there for them and that he was a safe lion to be around. Even if Rhin was immortal, he would jump to defend her when given the chance, actually, is like that with many if not all.
Zeki made it to his den and placed himself out beyond the reach of the tree's shade, playing himself beside a heated rock saved for a special someone. "Mmmmm that feels good."

Rhin shook as much water as possible from her coat and took off at a run attempting to catch Zeki. She landed next to him heavily, the dirt felt good against her side and stomach. She rolled to her back, belly up, looking over and smiling at the warm pelted lion.
"Convincing?" She raised her brow and chuckled softly, much more soft spoken now that there was a momentary calm. "I could beat you in a fair race any day, pup."
She poked him in the side jokingly with tip of one of the wings she was laying upon.

He purred and pawed at the outstretched wing and smirked. "Is that a challenge I hear, Lady Rhin? I might just take you up on it, trying to win the silence of this lose or is it to balance our tallies? Either way, it means I might get to see you again," he smiled and rested his head down on his paws before stretching some, the warm sun shinning down upon them. So warm, it made him feel happier inside.
"I love my home. I never want to leave it, and if I did, I always want to come back. Where I was born and raised, where my heart is and where my family is. . . . Do you have a home, Lady Rhin?"

She smiled at his purr, it was a very sweet noise, one she rarely heard from more grown lions. "Yes, I beleive it was a challenge m'dear, and I look forward to seeing you again," she grinned a rather cocky grin, "from the finish line of course."
The question made her attempt once more to think back before the deep sleep, she knew the basic history of her family of course, but what they were like and where they called home evaded her. "I'd like to think I had a home, a very very long time ago. I couldn't tell you where it was though or anything about it. I enjoy my travels all the same," she appeared a bit wistful, but it was not sadness brought about by not having a home, more sadness that she could not remember her previous life and would likely not remember this one.

Zeki laughed and grinned. "Alright, I'll take you up on that challenge, just no flying. Play a little fair, won'tcha? Perhaps we can up the ante to something more interesting than keeping my maw shut. What do I get if I win?"
He chuckled and flexed his claws a little. "Unable to remember your home. That must be horrible, unable to remember where you are from. Living an immortal life like your own, you experience a lot of things and it's only natural that you forget some others," he looked at her and smiled. He wouldn't mind if she remembered him, he wouldn't mind if she forgot about him. At least for his short life, compared to hers, he would have known her.

"Oh hun, I can beat you without flying," smiling to herself, she began idly stroking Zeki's shoulder with her wing tip. "If you win? Well, what would you like?"
She nodded calmly, "It is not just that it is a long life, but that we may live more than one. I only wish I could remember more of my siblings before my last deep sleep. It is not so bad not having a home persay though, I quite like sleeping under the stars."

"What would I like if I won? Oh I can name a few but I don't think such a innocent girl like you would like to hear," obviously he was joking. He had no idea what he would want from her really. "But I could always bother you for a feather. I have been getting myself quite the collection."
"Sleeping under the stars is great, but sometimes a shelter is where you want to be. Enclosed with that special someone, sharing their warmth... one day, I will find that special someone and have a big family! I would be an awesome dad and take care of them all, I would not let their mother do anything but nurse them. I shall do the rest." He sighs and smiles to himself. A big family...

"Hrm, a feather? If you could beat me I'd suppose you deserved it," she glazed over his other comments, merely chuckling and rolling her eyes. "Not a bottom one though, I fly quite awkwardly when I lose one of those."
His comments made her raise a brow, "you seem young yet to want children, even I don't have children, and I elder you by some many lifetimes. I suppose that there are some that dream of family, I simply dream of rest and a little play lately. It is sweet of you to want a family so dearly though, cubs are sweet, but they slow one down." She looked up at the clear sky and yawning a big, wide yawn.
"Is this the only place you've ever known? The Pridelands?"

"Good, then I'll just have to rest up and beat you again, Lady Rhin, and that feather will be mine. I've never lost a race against another lion," he smirked and placed a paw over her wing, tracing down her feathers. "I let the Goddesses choose which feather to give as it is their own."
Rolling onto his back as well, mimicking her, he continued to speak. "I am young but that does not meant I have never thought of it, Milady. I hold true to my Great Great Aunt Sarabi's belief that one should mate as an adult so I shall mate when I find that special someone and when my mane grows out. If I ever had cubs, I would want them to have a sibling, at least one. Growing up as an only cub, I wished I had one. Besides, what else do I have going for me? Running around and flirting with females? Nah... I want someone to come home to every night, besides, the cubs would keep my on my feet. Is it a bad idea?"
"I've been to places before. The beach. The elephant graveyard. The rogue lands... lots of places with my father."

"Ahh, well, you've also never truly raced the goddess of the hunt m'dear," she smiled at him when he touched her feathers, "well, should I lose, which I won't, I shall give you either a beautiful one or an old one."
Rhin smiled as he spoke bringing her wing back to her body and listening intently, "those are lovely plans, I'm sure you'll live a wonderful life out here, it would seem to be as nice a place as any to have a home. None of those are bad ideas in the slightest, it is simply not for everyone is all, some of us prefer to come and go as we wish."
The goddess shook her head when the elephant graveyard was mentioned, "The lions I met in the graveyard were not terribly kind, and I react..." she hesitated, "poorly to being near so much death. Brings out the worst in me. All the same, your father seems like a well-traveled lion, he is a Pridelander aswell?"

Zeki chuckled and purred softly. "Trust me, I will win that race for that feather and perhaps we can rest up back here after," he laughed to himself and looked up at the passing clouds, the only casting shadows that passed over them. He didn't mind which he had gotten, as long as it was from her.
"If that special someone loved me, then I would gladly let her come and go, I wouldn't mind caring for the cubs. I would take care of them with all my power and keep them safe with my life, it is only natural for a father to die for his family if it was threatened. But lets hope it doesn't come down to that, shall we?"
Thinking back now, his time in the Elephant graveyard almost cost him his life and made him lose sight of his father, realizing that his father wasn't all rays and sunshine. The first time he saw a father doing what he had to to keep his family safe. to keep him safe. "My father is, yes. My mother is too. I would like to be like them one day, but until then, I'm just going to live my own life and try to find that special someone. What about you, Rhin, do you think you'll ever find that special someone?"

"Well, you are far more understanding than many my dear," she noted how different he was from many other males, how much more giving he seemed in comparison to those she'd known before. It seemed odd, yet very endearing to her, "and I've always thought that a good mother would die for her cubs just as soon as their father would, maternal instinct seems to dictate that. Of course, one would never wish that on anyone."
There was a deffinant softness to her around Zeki, she smiled idly at him stretching out her front arms and flexing her claws, he was one of the few that she would wish no harm upon.
"I beleive that there are many someone's for each of us, we just pray to be blessed with meeting atleast one of them I suppose. I have yet to meet my own, though I would likely not know them if I saw them anyway," she chuckled to herself, "do you beleive you will find yours?" As she spoke she watched him, her violet eyes examining his features briefly.
