Rain flew through the sky. And didn'tland on land. She flew into the water just as Mai took another breath. She slew deeper and deeper into the river. She didn't know what to do now. She new they were being followed and this was making her mad. It was like there was no way out. Mai quickly put a hand up to her mouth. She couldn't hold on to the breath any longer. Rain sighedd she of coarse could breath under water, but Mai couldn't. Mai flew upwards. Just hoping that they wouldn't get caught. There wasn't much she could do now. They needed another safe place to stay. But where?

Darsa was now annoyed at the fact that he could not get girl as fast as he would have wished. She continually dived into the water to avoid detection and stay await any thread.

"Enought of this," hissed Darsa.

He jumped from the forest and placed himself ahead of the Dragon. He would take care of the girl breathing problem. "Adurna," spoke Darsa.

Suddenly the water shifted around Mai and Rain and aparted around them leaving them expose on the river's floor. Darsa slowly walked down the bed of the river toward them. The river closed off his entrance to the bottom behind him as he got closer. Darsa had removed all the water into a cyclinder prision around the three of them.

Darsa chuckled, "Not bad for a novice but it ends here!"

(fwooooooo timejump!)

Feawen wasnt sure how long it had been since she found the mysterious rock that contained her beloved Sulaer. The silver dragon had grown considerably. She was well porportioned, though her wings and tail were a bit longer than they should have been. The most curious feature about her were her eyes. Theylooked just as any dragon's eyes should have looked except they changed color based on Sulaer's feelings. They whirled blue when she was happy, red when she was angry. Feawen soon learned what each color meant as she studied the moods of her dragon.

Every day, Sulaerhad practiced flying high up in the clouds, where her slivery hide blended in. Now, as Feawen watched Sulaer dart around the sky like there was no tomorrow, the human noticed just how far the dragon had come from her first akward flight.

The woman tore her gaze away from her dragon and walked towards her cave, which was well hidded in the brush and rocks. It was much too small for Sulaer to fit in, but the dragon had found a deep cave higher up from the ground. So Feawen ducked her head and slid into the cave, where a cheery fire lit the room with the tantalizing smell of roasting deer meat. Feawen tilted her head and prodded the morsels. No, they were not done yet.

Feawen? The melodic voice echoed in her head. Yes Sulaer? Feawen responded, not worried at all about her dragon's questioning tone. There are other men, in the valley.
Oh?

At that moment, an explosion rang clearly through the valley, jarring Feawen from her relaxation. "Sulaer!" The woman dashed out of her cave and peered upwards, her eyes searching for the silver form of her dragon. What she saw was a pillar of flames and black clouds, raising up not too far away from her camp. A faint shreik could faintly be heard and Sulaer was suddenly right in front of Feawen, her eyes whirling red and orange in fear and distress. She flapped her wings in an agitated confusion and whuffed at Feawen. I do not know those men, but they are evil! I can feel it! They will want to hurt you!

Feawen was already grabbing for the saddle and throwing it over Sulaer, cooing and trying to calm her down. "We are leaving this place Sulaer. As soon as possible." The woman swung onto the dragon's back with ease and gave her a loving pat. Sulaer responded with a worried croon. "Dont worry love. We can survive anywhere, remember? Everything will be alright."
I know. But if those men hurt you... She dropped her jaw and hissed, leaving the rest of her sentence to imagination. And with that, the dragon clung herself into the air and shot up to the clouds.

Mai hissed. She couldn't think straight. She couldn't think of any possible wa out of this... "My, my, what a drag. what am I to do?" she asked sarcasticly. Jumping from the heights of her dragon. If all else failed. She could always sytab her self. No, that wouldn't do. She would undergo torture if she had to. She new some of the basics of escaping. But would it be enough. "What a shame. That was no fun at all. Protecting your self gaint all those traps. Although. I would have wnjoyed tit more if I could see the blood from your...... slaves? Minions? But they should be burned to a crisp now. What a drag that was. Oh well fun well it lasted. So what do you have instore? Torture? Capture? I don't know you tell me!" she said in a somewhat playful voice. Her dragon alone could handle probably anything that came it's way. Or at leasy some of the things. Rain swoshed her tail. Through the water back and forth.

"There called Expendable," laughed Darsa.

Darsa eyed the women as she played with him. He couldn't help but laugh outloud at her stupidity. She truely though he was some kingsmen of the king. Oh...he couldn't be farther from a normal human beings! Darsa was a wizard and he like to show what he knew on his prey. Darsa stopped laughing and looked Mai and Rain, he needed them alive...but did that mean in one piece?

"Your going to need more than your dragon that is barely able to breath fire," hissed Darsa.

He started up his advance muttering something under his breath. He stopped short of their reach as he raised a hand and spoke aloud, "Finrod Celebrindal"

The expose riverbed shook violently as steel bars erupted from the soil and incase Rain in a steel cage. The steel cage broke of the ground and formed a perfect sphere around Rain as it hovered above the riverbed.

"Now about you...," chuckled Darsa as he looked at Mai.

Mai flinched slightly. "so you got me on this one," she new she probablyouldn't be able to get away. She was at a dead end. What was she to do? she had no fancy powers, or did she? Rain couldn't move in the spere she was around. Mai had only once chance. She took the sword that was behind her back and charged at Darsa.

Darsa couldn't help but to grin, "You have guts girl...but that won't help you."

The wizard fingers wrapped around the tip of Mai's blade. He slowly force the blade down to his side and chuckled, "Jierda." A pulse suddenly came from his hand breaking the steel in his hand into a million pieces.

Darsa wasted no time an had his hand soon fille with Mai throat as he lefted her off her feet, "Your coming with me..."

His free hand motion at the cage dragon as he walked his way back to the river bank, the steel cage following behind him. At the bank all of his soldiers and Mai waited for him. The soldiers already had a specially made transport to tranfer the dragon to while they moved it Teirm. Another wooden cage cart was there for Mai.

Mai father did not look to amuse at the fact Darsa had gotten to Mai before him.

Mai quickly glanced at her father. "ou trader!" she screamed. She was disguested that her father would do such a thing to her. Tears fell from her eyes. When Darsa had grabbed her throat she was always weak there. It was making her feel weak after that. Mai finally couldn't stay awake. She didn't expect to wake up either. Sorry Rainp/i] she said through her mind and fell unconchious.

Rain and Mai were quickly transfer to the cages and chains. Both were seperated, Rain in the back of the party, Mai infront.

Darsa pulled himself onto his horse saddle and looked at his men, "If you so much as get bad feeling around these two...kill them..."

Mai father quickly interrupted, "I am in charge!"

"Not anymore...your only good for keeping your brat in line," corrected Darsa.

The old man was quickly thrown from his horse, delievered a beaten, and thrown in with his daughter. Darsa moved his horse along side the cart that held father and daughter, "If she does something I don't like...you get punished as well!"

Darsa moved to the head of the group, "We march to Terim. The king awaits us!"

Sulaer, calm down. Look, we're safe now. Feawen attempted to reassure her frantic dragon, who still beat her wings as hard as she could, trying to put distance between her and the explosion. No! We are not safe, they are still close! I refuse to let them hurt you! She beat her wings harder, though she began to falter in her fatigue. Sulaer, land NOW! I will NOT have you strain you wings! Feawen said in a stern tone. Her eyes flickered over to the cliffs and searched for a high ledge that could hold the dragon for a bit. Over there, land. Rest a bit, then we can be back on our way.

A growl rumbled up from Sulaer's throat, but she glided down and landed not so gracefully on the ledge. Feawen hugged the dragon's great sinewy neck and smiled. "You're still a bit small to be carrying me so fast so far. We'll wait here a moment."

~~~
A few minutes later, something caught the woman's eye, something down below in the distance, by the river. A line of carts? She squinted and sheilded her eyes from the sun, straining to see. Alas, the distance was too great. Sulaer however, hissed, her eyes whirling red once more. I told you we weren't far enough
Feawen and Sulaer made haste to get away from the area, as far away as possible. For all she knew, they had managed to leave unnoticed, but she wasn't completely sure. So Sulaer had flown to her limit. When her flight faltered, Feawen commanded her to land, telling her that strained wings could mean death. The pearl dragon reluctantly obeyed and darted down to earth, where Feawen could make a temporary camp and Sulaer could hunt for both of them.
The continued like this for days, unsure of what direction they were going in. Feawen's maps had been lost in the rush to leave, and in the week they had traveled, they had come across no civilization.
From Sulaer's back, Feawen sighed. Sulaer, I see desert ahead of us. We may be able to fly on the edge of the mountains and use the sun and the stars to find our way into a better position... but we can't go to a populated area. The king would find us. What are we to do?
Sulaer 'wrrled' softly. I don't know. Perhaps the elves would welcome us?
I don't know... damn it Sulaer, I don't know! We don't know any magic, I don't know how to train you... why did you choose me? Why am I so special?
Sulaer crooned. Because. You are perfect for me. You are strong and stubborn, snarky... you refuse to answer to a higher authority. I liked that...
Feawen smiled. If only she was more powerful... then she might be able to take better care of herself and her dragon.
I see something ahead informed Sulaer as they flew. Feawen frowned slighty and squinted her eyes, struggling to see. Where?
Right over there in that stand of trees. There is a cave opening Sulaer replied, shifting her flight path towards the direction of the cave. It would be a good place to set up camp. Remarked the white dragon, her faceted eyes whirling in a content blue. Feawen nodded to show her approval and the two descended, Sulaer landing gracefully just outside the mouth of the cave. The dragon paused at the entrance, which was large enough for a small dragon as her to fit in, and then sauntered in.
Inside, the cave went on a short distance before splitting up. Well, it was more like there was a tunnel too small for Sulaer to get into and then an indent in the wall, which the dragon could comfortably nestle into. Feawen dismounted and moved to the smaller tunnel where, to her surprise, there was light. I'm going to check it out said the woman to her dragon. And then she crept into the tunnel before Sulaer could protest.
The light was dim, but it was enough for Feawen to walk without fear of tripping over any unseen rocks. Following the tunnel, she found that is widened once more. The woman drew her bow and slunk in, surprised to find bookshelves pushed against the glittering walls, stacked high with old rustic books. She gaped in awe and stepped forward, her eyes scanning every inch of the large room. Suddenly, someone grabbed her arms and twisted them behind her. The attacker pressed his sharp rapier against her neck and hissed softly. "What do we have here?"
With a great effort Feawen managed to twist one of her arms out of his grasp, which sent pain shoot from her shoulder to to her fingers. Before she elbowed him savagely in the stomach, but he stood his ground and pushed the sword harder against her neck, convincing her to stand still. "A little human girl? What would a human be doing all the way out here in the middle of no where?" He said in an even tone. "Spying perhaps?" The edge of the rapier pricked her skin, sending a tiny stream of blood trickling down her neck.
"Not spying!" Feawen said quickly. "Running!" She let out a breath of relief as the pressure against her neck lessened, though whoever her assailant was did not remove the weapon. "Running?" he asked in his melodic voice. "And why would you be running? Who are you running from, to be more specific. " When she did not answer, he tugged her trapped arm, sending Feawen reeling with nausea from the pain. "The king," she gasped, struggling to keep a calm tone.
"And why should I believe you? Say it in the ancient language and I will know!" At that moment, white hot flames rushed along the corridor, followed by an angry roar. "Ah," said her attacker. He released her and whirled her around, gripping her by her shoulders. Feawen was started to see to see he had smooth ebony skin and pure white hair, accompanied by startling red eyes. Long pointed ears poked out from his long white hair. "You're a dark elf!" she sputtered.
"And you are a dragon rider," he calming replied with a strange smile. "Obviously one with little to no training." Feawen's eyes flashed at the insult. "We've haven't exactly had the chance to find someone, living way out here in the middle of nowhere," she replied icily, echoing the dark elf's words.
