Eliot noticed the girl hesitate as she said her age. "Oh, I'm 17." He said. If she wasn't going to say her real age, then neither would he.

With a quiet growl of annoyance, she brushes past a human, her shoulder bumping his slightly. She keeps walking and ignores the urge to pull him aside and take a pint or so from him. After a few seconds, she stops and raises her head to the sky, raindrops falling onto her face at almost the same beat of the boy's heartbeat. Lowering her gaze again, she continues to walk down the street, searching for one of her own kind.
