I love both! I'm in Color Guard but band is like a family. I kinda don't get why some people hate us. crying

Ok, I personally think marching band is what I would prefer, but when it applies to MY school, the colorguard is so much better. My school is ghetto and our band isnt all too great. SOOO, thats why Im in colorguard. lol

kerushi_rii Ok, I have a question, WHAT THE HECK IS COLOR GAURD?!?! I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. I'm from a small school. Are they like the flags? This is the most embarrassing question on this site ever... I believe some schools call colorguard flags.

COLOR GUARD ALL THE WAY BIZNATCHES! The shows jsut don't work without it! (In my school we are the Rockets so our color guard is called the Rockettes)

Now my opinion does count for something because I've been in both band and colorguard. Personally, I think colorguard is better. But band is really fun too. I like colorguard better because its just so much fun! I mean, you get to hit people and get away with it! How much fun is that?

I prefer... marching band. Because that's what I'm in. If I wanted to be in color guard then I would have been in that. =P kerushi_rii Ok, I have a question, WHAT THE HECK IS COLOR GAURD?!?! I don't know what color gaurd is, but color guard is the flag corp.

I prefer pagentry because they are so spontanious and fun to be around however i am to fat and lazy to run around like that, so i am in marchig band. Pit ... its where you dont march

technically, isnt the guard a part of the marching band because a marching band is made of 4 parts...
the battery
the pit
the horns
the guard....
its all a marching band put together

color guard is fun, But I don't like the type of people who do it at my school, marching band is fun b/c I like to march, especially the complicated things like double left face and to the rear and rear march(two different things), stuff like that, playing is alright however I am not a memorizer.
I've done both before

i think they are bot important because if one performs without the other, it just doesn't work.

There are quite a few colorguard who are complete snots. stressed Though a few of them are the sweetest people I know. And they look so pretty with their flags and hoops. ^.^ I'm a marcher though. Considering being on colorguard though.

This is the most embarrassing question on this site ever... colorguard are the people who do flag, rifles, sabres, dance, and use props throughout a marchingshow. don't feel bad, someone thought colorguard was something u put in laundry to keep ur colors from fading... anyway ya i think they're equal. band-listen to them, guard-watch them
