Huyu shook his head again. "I don't think so, otherwise, wouldn't they have at least left a note for me when I was born? Or made some effort to let me know they were alive?"
He hadn't realized how much it hurt that he didn't have parents until now. A large lump appeared in his throat and he felt his eyes moisten a bit. Laying down on the large rock, he rested his head on his paws, hoping Heulwen couldn't see his tears.

Her ears lowered, feeling abit sad seeing how upset Huyu was about this. Dogpaddling, since it would feel laggy just trying to walk from the bottom of the water, she moved closer to Huyu's spot on the rock, "Huyu..?" She asked curiously and concerned to see how Huyu was feeling now. She wished she hadn't mentioned her parents.

Huyu quickly wiped away his tears, not wanting to make Heulwen worry or, even worse, feel bad. "Y-yes?" He responded back to her, peeking out over the edge of the rock to her. He looked much younger than the adult he was, for some reason, but that was probably do to his ears pressed back and only his eyes and nose visible.

Heulwen's eyes showed sympathy and gentleness as she for once was willing to look into his eyes. His eyes were a lovely shade of light pale green, and were rather glassy however. She wondered if he had been crying. "Huyu, I'm sorry, that your parents possibly left you behind.. I-I'm sure that, they don't want you to feel like this now, that they'd want you to move on." She paused, looking down while pondering on what else to say, "I think someday you will have a family of your own again, " She smiled at him, hoping he'd feel abit more cheered up on it.

Huyu scootched closer to the edge so he could see Heulwen better. A small smile was on his face, and his eyes were gentle as well. "You really don't have to say you're sorry."
Sighing, he shifted a bit, thinking seriously about if he ever started a family, what it would be like. "I don't know if I want a family. I don't want to have my offspring go through what I went through." He looked seriously into Heulwen's eyes. "IF I do have a family, though, I doubt I will ever put anything in front of them. They will be the most important in my life..."

Heulwen did a small smile, happy to see at least a smile was showing on his face, "I feel like I have to apologize though.." She nodded, and her head followed along his movements as he shifted abit. Hearing Huyu's words she couldn't help but smile, respectful on his thoughts would be about if he started a family. He seemed to think about the sure responsibilities it would be to start a family and look after Orbs. "And it's those thoughts that prove you'll make a great father someday!" She finished with a nod, feeling sure about it. After feeling the chills coming to her too strongly, she decided it'd be a good thing to get out now. She made way for the shore which wasn't all too far from her.

Feeling a bit more at ease and confidant around Heulwen, Huyu got up and followed her back to the banks of the river. "I hope I'll be a decent father, if I become one.... I'd never want my pups to go through what I did, they'd deserve better than that."

Getting up, with some light strain of getting her arms to support her weight out of the river, she shook off the water that still clung to her for a moment before dropping down to the ground, and started licking her fur, trying to straight out to a glistening outcome, replying to him between licks, "I don't think.. You'd be the type of father.. who'd end up leaving them.. And I'm sure you'd try to outlive the obstacles.. to see them come into the world," She said reassuringly. Just finishing cleaning her Leg, working on the other.

Walking over to her, he sat down, listening to her. After a couple of minutes, he leaned over and started licking her head and neck, areas he knew she wouldn't be able to reach with her own tongue. He didn't mean it to be intement or anything, he just wanted to help her; she looked so cold.

For a moment she was silent, grooming her other leg now, not noticing what Huyu was doing, so she almost flinched in surprise when she felt someone was licking her head and neck, "Huh?" She asked in quiet puzzlement, not moving her head but somehow was able to notice Huyu was helping her grooming her unreachable parts. Feeling her face turning abit warm, abit embarrased by confused suspicions she continued on with her grooming, "Thank you, Huyu.." She said sincerely.

The moment Heulwen's fur was dried, Huyu quickly stopped licking and nodded. "You looked cold... P-please don't g-get the wrong impressions. I m-merely wanted to help." He stuttered out, realizing what situation he had just put the poor female though.

She felt her inside purr for a moment, feeling the fur being groomed from another tongue felt kind of rather.. relaxing? It didn't feel the same with her own tongue. She didn't really mind the young male grooming her. When he had finished though, so had her purring; she didn't want to feel like her purring could possibly imply something. Her tail swished nervously, feeling abit embarrased, seeing that Huyu was afraid she thought there was deeper reasons behind his assistance on grooming . "Oh, Not at all, r-really, Huyu," She tried to assure Huyu she didn't have suspicions like that on him. She was sure he must have been doing it sincerely to just help her. But she couldn't help but feel her face go scarlet from feeling the blood rush up to her cheeks at noticing that Huyu was afraid of sending the wrong message.

He let out a sigh of relief, realizing that he'd been holding his breath while he awaited her acceptance of his apology. Smiling to Heulwen, he could feel his own cheeks burning from embarrassment. "So how cold was the water.... And, pray tell, why were you so stubborn on going swimming?"
He truly wanted to know what had driven this Female Minya into jumping into that icy cold water. Where all females this way; stubborn and impossible to reason with at times? Hopefully they were all kind and understanding like Heulwen.

Heulwen lightly jutted out her lower lip, making a small pout, not liking the feeling of being called stubborn. Looking away, she was trying to figure out a perfect reason why, and to put it in the right words. She did a small smile and chuckled, "Well, I wanted to have my fur groomed to be slick and smooth. It was coarse before. And I was afraid that grooming with my actual own tongue wouldn't make it smooth enough. And honestly, I was quite jealous of your sleek coat," She admitted sheepishly. She hoped though that her first reply didn't make her sound like she was too prideful on looks.

Huyu sweatdroped, and the words came out before he had a chance to stop them. "I envy your coat, it's really beautiful...." His eyes widened and he quickly looked down and away in both fluster and embarrassment.
He now mumbled the rest, feeling really stupid. "And... it was really pretty even before you went swimming...."
