Noel closed her eyes and stopped for a few second but really couldn't hear anything but the two girls breathing. "No, I can't. Maybe it really is!" She smiled and started to walk faster.
"If it is, what shall we do?" She wasn't sure if she could skate she may just fall over, but then that might be fun anyway. She looked at the naiad with a pretty big smile.

Seeing Noel so excited only made Aysu grow more excited. She grinned, keeping the pace with the snowy woman in front of her. "Well, we could always try skating." Then, she snickered. Of course, Aysu had absolutely no idea how to skate. It was likely that she would probably fall on her face, but that might be fun anyway.
"Of course, I don't know how to skate. But I'm certainly willing to learn." They had no skates, but Aysu still had her handy bag. She could probably find two pairs of skates if she had to. They could also attempt skating with no skates. That would probably be even more fun. "It'd probably be fun, anyway." Still no sounds of the water. The river had to be frozen.

Noel smiled, "Yeah, that sounds fun!" She thought about how to get skates and then remembered, "I can make some skates!" She was excited to make Aysu happy.
While they walked Noel concentrated and after a few seconds a blade of ice grew from her fingertip. "I can make four of these and then when can band them to our feet. What do you think. Will that work?"

"Oooh." She had thought of using her magic bag, but having custom-made icy ice skates was much more interesting. Aysu was instantly intrigued. "Sure! As long as the blades don't hurt our feet, that'd definitely work." So they just needed to find a way to make sure the top part of the blade wouldn't dig into their skin.
Perhaps she brought a knife of some sort with her? Aysu checked her picnic basket. What luck! It was only plastic, but it would be enough to dull the top edge. "I've got a plastic knife we can use. Go ahead and make some blades, and I'll make the edge of the top not so sharp." This was really fun! Noel had such an interesting and useful ability--it allowed them to make their own skates from scratch.

Noel smiled that did make Aysu happy! Now her power seemed a bit more useful then she had found it originally. She couldn't think what ice blades would be good for...otherthan something she wouldn't use them for...
Noel watched her get out the knife. "Oh that will be great!" She formed the rest of the blades and then stopped to notice they had arrived at the river and it was indeed frozen over. "Wow..." Was all Noel could say, it was the most beautiful sight!

As Aysu got to work on smoothing out the top of the first blade, she realized Noel had stopped walking. Curiously, she looked up. Her cutting slowed to a stop as she looked out at the frozen river. She had never seen such a sight. "Wow indeed..." The naiad couldn't think of anything better. She sat in the snow, staring out at the unmoving, icy river.
It took a minute before she recovered to the point of being able to speak again. Beauty always stunned her. "This just makes me even more inclined to skate on it," commented she, with a chuckle. "Let's figure out a way to bind these to our feet." Still glancing out at the unmoving river, Aysu resumed cutting the blades.

Noel flopped down next to her. She looked at the river with big eyes. It was unmoving and she could see swirls in it where the water had been turning before it froze over.
Aysu's voice shocked her out of her state, she had almost forgot where she was. "Oh, yeah! That will be awesome, just promise not to laugh if I fall over?" She turned to Aysu and gave her the pleading eyes she had learned from her own daughter. Noel then turned around to look for something to bind..."If we had string, that might work..."

Aysu couldn't help giggling when Noel gave her pleading eyes. She quickly kissed Noel on the cheek from amusement at her adorable antics before saying, "Don't worry, I can't skate either." More giggles escaped from the naiad's lips. "It'll be an experience for the both of us." And hopefully, a fun experience. Falling may have been painful, but they had each other on the icy river.
Hm... Now where could she find some string? Aysu looked in the picnic basket and dug around within it before feeling her bag. Then, she reached into the bag and pulled out a roll of string. "Viola! String." With a grin, she showed it to Noel proudly. "I'll finish the edges on this blade and you can try to tie two of the blades to your feet."

Noel's face turned pick at the kiss and then she began to giggle as well. "Yeah, but maybe we should have brought a cushion?" She giggled again at the picture of them both with pillows ties to their bottoms.
"Wow, you packed everything in that basket!" She smiled and then took a piece of string and tied on one and then moved to the other. "I'll wait for you." She didn't want to fall without a partner to fall with.

Aysu, too, snickered at the thought of having pillows tied to their rumps. Of course, it would prevent any pain, but it would certainly be quite the sight. But that was alright. They were having fun. When Noel said Aysu packed everything, she grinned. "Well, I always try to be prepared." And she always could be prepared with her magic bag. Of course, she had to be cautious. The things she snatched could have belonged to someone else already, but she was pretty safe with a roll of string.
Once since finished off the blade, she took the string back from Noel and began to tie the blades to her own feet. Once she felt they were firmly on, she tossed the string back into her picnic basket. "Ready to give it a shot?" Aysu offered her hand to Noel.

Noel nodded, being prepared was a good thing. Something she usually thought more about when it was sunny. She was always prepared to jump into shade or water to cool off. Mabye that wasn't the same thing.
When Aysu was done Noel nodded and took the other girl's hand. "Yup, I hope I can at least stand up." She grinned and slowly stood up as she tried to keep her feet balanced. She didn't want to fall and take Aysu with her.

When they stood up, Aysu wobbled a bit, but forced herself to gain her balance so she and Noel wouldn't go falling into the snow before they even reached the river. Giggling, she started with Noel towards the river. "This is going to be amusing."
The naiad stopped before the frozen river and turned to Noel with an amused grin. "You ready?" It was going to be interesting to see how long they could last standing up on that ice.

"I'll say, it's a good thing we don't have an audience!" She giggled some more as she walked with Aysu to the river. Would they make it even that far. She sighed relief as they did.
Noel steadied herself, "Um..I think so!" Noel slowly put one foot on the frozen river. Her foot slid out from under her and she had to hold on to Aysu just to stay up. "Maybe not..."

When she felt Noel begin to slip, Aysu immediately twirled around to catch her before she fell. Of course, Noel grasped onto her, but Aysu wanted to be sure she was safe. "Perhaps we should walk in the snow first. We aren't as likely to fall." The ice was a bit more slippery than the snow. The snow, on the other hand, gave their feet some extra support.
Aysu righted Noel and grasped her hand once again.

Noel felt herself twirl and felt Aysu right them both. "Sorry about that. You would think given my leaning towards cold I would be good at this."
Noel nodded to the snow idea, "Don't let go, ok?" She squeezed Aysu's hand. It felt so warm in hers, it felt soft and nice too. She liked that this adventure was with Aysu it wouldn't have been as fun any other way. She then took one step in the snow and this time kept her balance.
