Driving at night
on the wet roads
of the city, rain
still creating
staccato beats
on my windshield.
A paradise
of shimmering lights,
bright musical, glistening
fairy world.
It's one
of the things
I enjoy the most.
I have anxiety
on the road,
but not at night, and
ESPECIALLY not
when it's raining
at night. :3
Maybe...
It's because
it tunes
me into
the real essence
of life,
not just that
veil of fear
and anxiety
that steers
our actions
day in and
day out,
trapping us
from being
ourselves,
too busy
worrying about
others
and how they
perceive us,
how they might
hurt us, or
force us to
hurt them.
It clears it
away, and leaves
only
me
in
awe.
