"I dunno, you and Rosa seem to have enough sincerity for everyone...and Amary is DEFINTELY sincere, either that or she's really good as dissembling. Sere is pretty sincere, and if you're impugning Mom and Dad's sincerity, then you have issues evern worse than potential family drift." Though honestly, he doubted that there was any reason for worry on THAT score, even if he was the type to worry. She was simply being overly dramatic, which was no shocker itself.

Though really, overly dramatic was her thing, and while it could sometimes get frustrating, there was really no actual harm to it. It simply meant that she was passionate, and THIS was how she displayed that passion.

That in mind, he was able to be lenient with her, or at least his own version of lenient, giving her a small, slight, hardly-there-but-still-visible smile as he replied, "There's open, and then there's close, Tina. What you're looking at right now? This IS me being open, however that measures up to your sibling ideal. I'm not a touchy-feely guy, and if you and Rosa want the sort of brother that'll tackle you and give you noogies, bait you about your personal lives, and share his 'feelings' all hours of the day...well, I'm sorry, but I just can't help you there."

He was what he was, after all, and what he wasn't, he wasn't.

Tina could only respond to her brother with a smile of her own, and she instantly felt a feeling of relaxation, and foolishness at the same time. She didn't want to change her brother, she should have expected that that was the way he was. It wasn't that he was distant, he just conducted himself in a more real manner, so she was probably not used to that. "I am just glad we had this talk, seriously." she then said, feeling a weight lifted off her shoulders. "You have proved a good argument to me, and I apologize if I sounded as if I was doubting you. That was not my intent."

With a playful shrug, she kept her smile while staring at her brother's eyes. "Every family needs someone who is touchy-feeley, so I can fill that role. I don't want to drag that sort of job off on you!" she nudged at her brother with a laugh, before straightening herself up again and recollecting her initial thoughts. Tina didn't feel wrong for brining the situation up, she just didn't want to offend her brother in anyway.

"But you know, if you are ever feeling upset or anything, I want you to know that I am here to listen. Its pretty much what I do." she had to gain SOME responsibility as the older sister, and she would take advantage of any chance that she could get! "Rosa has told me her fears and worries, and we have overcome them together. What about you? Got anything you need to get off your chest?" Of course, it was a stretch to ask her brother that, but she was determined as a sister!

"Yeah, well..." Pausing in a somewhat awkward fashion, Louie realized that he really didn't know how to respond to his sister. Somehow, he could tell that there was a 'proper' response that would follow such a frank discussion, but such things weren't his forte. Although now that he thought about it, she defintely ought to be aware that those things weren't his forte and accept that what he DID do well was direct and brusque.

So he simply stated, "I'm used to you, so you don't have to apologize for being normal, no more than I should." There, that sounded nice and ought to convey what he meant...though some things could be said without words as well, as his raised brow 'you've got to be kidding me' response to her final question. As though he were the type to worry about such things, indeed!

Her brother... Tina could only close her eyes, before nodding and smiling as well. "Well if you are used to me by now, then that is always a good step." Even after her big rant at her brother, he still said only what needed to be said. Louie was seriously too good at that. "I've always been used to you, but you already knew that I'm sure."

Tina then took a few steps away from her brother, since she felt the need to investigate some strange plants on the ground. "Do you ever think you and Rosa will get along, though." She then asked, as she nosed her way through the brush. "I'm not say there are problems with your relationship or anything, I just think the arguing can get a bit out of hand, since I am the one always watching you know." And it wasn't that she hated that either, she just got sick of the constant arguments!

Well, so much for making progress. Perhaps there was something to be said for the old adage of taking two steps forward and one step back, because Betina's question seemed to be very much a rehashing of what they'd already talked about. Or rather, a disregard of what they'd already talked about. Whichever.

"Rosa and I get along as well as we ever will, in current circumstances; if she wouldn't take everything so personally, then there wouldn't be a problem. I'm not sure what it is you expect will change by talking to ME, considering she's the one with the issues." After all, he wasn't the one that got huffy or upset or raised his voice over trivialities, thanks much. "Maybe you ought to try talking to Rosa, if it's really that bothersome for you. I mean, if she wants to get upset, that's not really my fault, I'd say."

Even thinking about it made Louie frown a bit, not sure that he liked the idea of being held even slightly responsible for any perceived 'fights'. He didn't 'fight', after all, he discussed; and Rosa was the one that had the problems, anyway!

She had to admit.. she had never really thought about the emotional differences between Louie and Rosa. Louie was far less worrisome then her sister, and Rosa did tend to react much differently then the stallion. If that was the case.. was it really possible to blame Louie for the whole situation? "Ah, that is true.." she then said, while nodding her head gently. Louie was far too good at bringing up the right points, and Tina always commended him for that.

"I don't think that means she has issues." Tina then added, with a happy grin. "It just shows how we are each different! I like to think that I have a mix of both of your personalities, so that's why I can side with both of you." My.. if that was the case, Tina was pretty lucky for being so understanding. "So if you aren't stressed out about any of this, then I suppose I should remind Rosa the same thing, since I am convinced myself." Wow, was it really that easy to solve that problem?

"So, do you have any big plans for yourself, Louie? Now that you are older and such, you have the freedom to do what you wish." Her question was a random one, but it was more out of interest, since their issue had been easily resolved. And Louie had even proven that it wasn't an issue!

"....You know, you can be a really weird mare sometimes, 'Tina; I have to say, I have absolutely no idea how your mind works." Depending on how one looked at the comment, Louie's assessment of his sister could be taken as a joke or as a burn, or even as nothing at all; as far as he himself was concerned, it was an honest breakdown. Betina was nice enough, but sometimes her logic went on detours he had no idea of. As long as it worked for her, it was obviously ok, but it made things damned hard to actually debate with her.

Best to just move on.

So he did his best to consider the idea of 'plans'; just because it was a curve ball out of nowhere didn't mean he couldn't deal with it.

After a bit of a pause while he considered, Louie looked over at his sister and shrugged. "'Plans,' to me, implies some sort of grandiose scheme or ambition, so in that sense, no. All I really want is to maintain my freedom, I guess. See if I ever feel like doing anything in specific, and be able to do it if I want to. That sort of thing." Not the most elaborate plan, obviously, but he'd never been an elaborate sort of Soquili. "And what about you? Aside of your personal mission to end all family feuds whether imaginary or tangible, what have you been up to and hoping to do?"

Not the best way of phrasing it, but this sort of conversation WAS a rather different experience for him!

Tina shrugged off her brother's first words, since ignoring them was probably the better option. There was no reason to argue with him about herself, since he usually had a set image of how everybody was. But that was what made him Louie!

"I don't think you will have a problem with your own freedom.." Tina then said, with a hefty grin. "You aren't the type to have those types of problems." Louie was far too intelligent for that sort of thing.. "And as for me, I think you basically summed up my lifestyle. Not that I am complaining of course! I just don't have anything unusual or cool that I want to do at the moment.." Maybe THAT was unusual in itself... "I am just me."

"But I do thank you for talking to me, Louie. I appreciate that you were kind enough to care and stuff." she then added, with a playful grin. "We are all learning about ourselves, day by day. And you have only proved to me how comfortable things really are, so I have nothing to worry about anymore." And that was probably a good thing for Tina.
