Marcus went to were he heard the sound, seeing nothing he felt a bit wrong leaving, so he decided to wait a bit before leaving.

The girl was stuffin gfood in her face faster than anything the boy had seen before. She was either ravenous, or just a plain glutton. he could't decide. She had already swallowed down three bowls of stew, three pies, six whole turky legs, and she was about to start on a salad. She ate without a single pause.
"Ummm... ma'am?"
The girl turned to look at the boy, her eyes turing a dangerous shade of red. "What did I tell you about calling me ma'am?"
The boy sighed. ""Your Greatness?"
"Yes, my loyal, lowly servant?"
"...Can I have some of you-"
"NO!! MY FOOD!! YOU DO NOT TOUCH MY FOOD!!"

"So what now?" Dace asked. He and Cherish were sitting not to far from where they fell. Only now they were shielded above by the canopy of trees.
"Well, We still have to find Ecila. Mr. Cheshire Magician asked me to find her, and as a knight I'm bound by my word." Cherish said. The small girl was sitting with the soles of her feet touching and was bouncing her legs eagerly, like a butterfly ready for take off. Her long pigtails were a dusty brown at the tips becuase they had to lay in the dirt when she sat.
"And becuase I joined the Ace Knights, and they ordered my to accompany you, as a knight I'm bound to the same darn thing." Dace ruffled his hair and groaned.
"I didn't sign up to rescue a queen." he muttered, staring at the canopy.
"You're so strange Dace!" Cherish, or as Dace calls her, Cherry laughed.
"Rescueing a quen is like a Knight's ultimate dream! If you didn't sign up for that, why did you join the Ace Knights?"
"Long story?" Dace tried, Cherry gave him a look then shook her head.
"You're so nice Dace...but you're LAZY!"
"I am not!" Dace retorted.
"I'm just tired from all the running you make me do."
"Uh huh..." Cherry replied lifting one eyebrow.

There were screams coming from the fields. The boy and his family looked up, sudden terror etched on their faces. From the stalks of corn, voices came, demanding that they give up the girl in red that the boy was sitting next to. The boy looked at the girl, as she sat there, contemplating her spoon before giving it a final lick.
"My lady..."
"My people." She stood up, and for te first time, the boy actually thought that caling her "Your Greatness" would not be nearly good enough to describe her. She stood with dignity and power in her frame, majest and courage rippling off her. She began to walk towards the scream, and without looking back she comanded "My servant, rally the people. Bring them somewhere safe, and where ever possible, build resistance."She began to slowly run,faster and faster as she headed for the battle. Within moments of her entering the long stalks of the crops, cries of pain began to fill te air, howls and moans reaching the boy's ears. He looked to where hehad seen her last.
Yes, my Queen..."

Dace and Cherry heard faint screaming just outside of Tulgy Wood.
"That sounds bad!" Dace said getting to his feet.
" Her Empress is getting more hostile. If it is her soldiers-" Cherry hissed.
"There's no time!" dace exclaimed. "Let's go! We have to through here FAST!"
Cherry beamed and jumped to her feet as well. They raced through the woods at incredible speed famouse for the Ace Knights, heading in the direction of the screaming.

Ecila let loose her energy, punching, kicking, Screaming, using her Stregth Power to amplify the damage she caused. Sometimes she shattered bones without breaking skin, sometimes she cause the bones to rip through the skin, but she was fast, she was deadly, and she was totally in control. She needed no weapon to be lethal on the field of battle. She stood in the middle of a clearing and cried out "Come, come to me, come and face Wrath of Hearts!" She teleported as they rushed in on her, and destroyed them completely, refusing to leave any resistance or survivors. It was a Dance of Death, and only seemed to know the steps to it.

As Dace and Cherry hurried towards the village the sounds were beginning to die down.
"Could the nattle really be ending so quickly?" Dace wondered.
"Aw...I wanted to help fight." Cherry said.
"Who cares about that now? Queen Ecila could be in trouble!" Dace said.
"Well we're almost there." Cherry said, pointing ahead of them. the forest was beginning to thin.

The young man who wore a dark purple cloak once again pulled the hood tighter around his neck, in fear that someone might recognize him. On the other hand, it was a nervous habit he had, and it was easy to recognize.
"Jack, m'boy," he remembered his uncle saying to him one day "if you ever want people to not tell what you're thinking, you need to stop little displays like that. You are wihtout a doubt the most nervous young man I have never met!" His uncle would sigh. "And you being a future king and all... hopeless..."
Well... Well, thats going to change! Jack Diamond thought as he looked forward.

Dace and Cherry finally reached the village, but the battle was over.
"My god..." Dace breathed as he looked around. It was rather gruesome.
"they're all members of Alice's army." Cherry said examining one man.
"But by the looks of the insignias, the're all low ranking privates."
Dace groaned.
"How are we supposed to find Ecila if things like this keep happening?"

"Easily!" From the blood-stained crops burst Ecila like a deadly rain cloud... if rain clouds were deadly. "Let terror strike your hearts, fool mortal enemies, for my might shall vanquish you like these foul ruffians who DARED to think that their might would match mine!" She gave the two of them a Death Glare. "Now, do you want to fight, huh, huh?" She took their lack of response as surrender. "Thats what I THOUGHT!" She made some 'shoo-ing' motions with her hands. "Now go on, shoo. I don't have the patience or the energy to grace you with the sight of my flawless attack moves."

Dace blinked then stammered.
"I...you...they...but we...HUH?"
Cherry rolled her eyes and stepped forward. She unstrapped the large sword on her back then thrust the tip into the ground. She then grabbed the hilt of her sword and sank to one knee. It was the formal way a soldier greeted the Royal House.
"Your Greatness, Ecila." Cherry said.
"I am Cherish, the Ace of Diamonds in the secret order of the Ace Knights. My comrad is the Ace of Spades, his name is Dace."
Dace lowered his torso only slightly to signify some sort of bow.
"We were sent by the Cheshire Magician to gaurd you and bring you to safety."
"Although I don't see why..." Dace muttered to himself, casting wary glances this way and that.

Ecila straightened her back, and elegantly placed her hand over Cherry's. "Cherish, Ace of Diamonds, I gladly accept your aid, and that of your comrade. My grandfather would not place his trust in anyone but the best, and I hope that I will prove worthy of your loyalty." She glanced at Dace. "Same to you." She brushed her hands together and then looked around. "First order of business, we need a secure place to sleep. YOU!!" she shot her finger at Dace. "Go find us a place to sleep while we look for a place to wash up." She began to walk away. "Cherry, come help me."
