Mordre was delighted with Dahak's response. By the looks of things, they were going to get on well. He bowed his head in acknowledgement and returned respect. "Then go in peace, my young apprentice..." He raised his head again and smirked. "...and get cracking. Best of luck."
The air wavered around him as he cloaked himself in his familiar colt illusion, and he sent a signal out to Cai - go find Aeolus and Hidalgo, it said. He intended to ask that his sons keep an eye out for Dahak. Clearly the tri-coloured stallion was no fighter, and he knew that Hidalgo at least would jump at the chance for some action. He'd have asked Ra'cuv as well, but now that the boy was a soldier he'd need his time for the army.
"Remember," he said in his colt's voice, "anything you need. Any time."

Dahak smiled down at the colt; he was aware that its eyes weren’t where Mordre’s eyes were but one he wasn’t quite sure where they really were and two he might as well continue acting as though he believed that the colt was the real Mordre.
“Thanks,” he said with a grin and a nod, “I’ve a feeling I’m going to need all the luck I can get on this one.” With these words and a last nod and smile, the young shaman turned away and set off for the slope that would lead him back down to the more populated areas of the herdlands. The meeting, he felt, couldn’t have gone better if blessed by Jala to herself.
When he got back to his cave later on he was still smiling to faintly himself.
It was good to have a mentor.
