“Shamisen, it’s from above ground.” Jysayne eyes fell back to the roughly banjo shaped instrument in his lap, hand gripping the bachi slightly as the women settled herself on the crate. Slowly he calmed as she did nothing but chuckle and toss the long mass of silky bright hair. His fingers left the oddly shape pick use to play the instrument.
“It is a pleasure to meet you Jaeden sama; I am Jysayne but if you wish,” he paused eyes crinkling slightly in amusement. “I am also called Kai.”

"Sha-Mi-Sen?" Jaeden said slowly, putting superfluous emphasis on each syllable,"Hmm, interesting word." A smile curled upon Jaeden's face," So, Kai is it? What kind of shop are you running here?" Jaeden asked with a jerk of her head in the direct of the shop. {{Bah! Writers block =_=; And fear of my computer kicking me off }}

Part of him was beginning to wonder if the female talking to him was a bit simple or teasing him. Or both, since it was quite obvious he was not running a shop. He was waiting for her, his matron to leave the shop.
“Waiting,” he answered lifting the bachi and returning to the instrument plucking a slight melody from the three strings. “Mistress did not see fit to tell me what was sold here.” Though it had to be something special for her to come down personally instead of sending a slave, and bring him along. He hummed softly along with the soft notes.

Jaeden looked at him with critical eyes," Please excuse my impudence, but you are a slave?" Jeaden felt so repentant when she came across slaves, she knew most of them longed for freedom.
Jaeden wanted to ask Kia, "If you are slave why don't you run away?" But there was no telling who was listening on their conversation so she kept it to herself. Silence fell over the two like a heavy wool cloak, the only noise that could be heard was the gentle twang of the shamisen and the soft murmurs from the crowd.
"So, Kai where you born here?" She finally managed to ask, shattering the eerie silence between them.

It seemed as if the other girl were an inhabitant of the city then. That put Isilmi more at ease than she had been when she had first seen the girl looking at her. The idea that an inhabitant of the city would bother to harm her, someone from Menzoberranzan, was rather rather unlikely. It was rather unlikely as well that someone had hired a killer to dispose of her here. While it would be easier for her to be killed far from her home, where there was less recourse and less chance for the killer to be found, there was little reason to go to such lengths. Her mother had four daughters other than her, all older and two true priestesses.
“You are very perceptive, lle'warin.” She said, feigning extra esteem. She knew that she didn’t look particularly native, but the girl, who wore jewelry and furs, seemed to be from a noble house. What noble house and how high up Isilmi couldn’t tell, but when you were a lower class noble drow in a city not your own it never hurt to make friends with any noble from said city. Or at least kiss up to them. “Indeed I am not from Guallidurth. I am a visitor here from Menzoberranzan. I am guessing that you are from Guallidurth, and not one from the lower class either.”

Eyes flicked up to Jaeden, rather insulted at the thought. "No," he said thickly fingers stilling, cutting the notes off quickly. A dark glow sparked deep in his eyes, making the softer rose color thick, harsh.
"Undrek'Thoz in east dark," he muttered looking away losing intrest in conversation.

Dhann'Dra's brow quirked slightly at the compliment, and started watching the drow before her with more caution. It was very possible that this one particular person wasn't quite right, but chances are she was just like every other drow. That meant that her words weren't very sincere.
Then the other female's reasoning came to point, and the petite native nearly smiled. "I am of Barri'Neld, 14th house of Guallidurth." 14th wasn't too shabby, but it wasn't anything close to what they had been. The Menzoberranzan native wouldn't know that, of course. For all the second daughter knew, this other woman had no idea of the particular intrigue of the Yathtallar's city.
Choosing to change topics before her family's background was questioned further, she looked the woman before her straight in the eye. "You're a ways from home, what brings you?" In truth, Dhann'Dra knew nothing of this other city, but she didn't really feel it was prudent to let that slip.

14th? Isilmi wasn’t sure how many noble houses there were in Guallidurth, but if it were anything like her home then 14th was quite a feat. Even if it wasn’t like Menzoberranzan she was relatively sure that Guallidurth had at least a few more than 14 houses. Besides 14th was better than her 20th.
“Indeed,” Isilmi answered to Dhanna’Dra’s question, her face rather impassive now. She did not like to be reminded of the fact that she was far from her family and allies and the safety that they provided. True she was supposed to be safe while being taught, but that safety only extended so far, and so well. “But Guallidurth is an intriguing city, and I am here for that.
“My mother had the foresight to send me here. So I am here further my training and knowledge as a cleric, so that I might be able to better serve our goddess.”

Jaeden's eye's became wide like saucers when she realized her mistake,"Kia, I-i'm sorry! I-I only assumed you were because of the whole mistress thing! Oh God, i'm sorry! Really I am!" She smakced her forehead with the palm of her right hand," Guh! I'm sorry! I really shouldn't have said that! And I really shouldn't assume such things." Her cheeks began to burn crimson,"Kai, I know we just met but I don't want you to hate me from start! Geez, I really am bad at making friends." Jaeden sighed heavily as she pushed the glimmering mass of silver-white hair obehind her.

A cleric. So she had been right in her assumptions, and was very pleased with herself. Normaly that meant that the woman before her would be competition but she was from a different city, and that meant a different agenda and different enemies. For the time being, at least, with that thought Dhann'Dra's mind started working furiously.
Her mouth was a different story. With her appearance just as impassive as the one she was looking at, she changed it with a nice smile and held out her hand in greeting. "Tell me about yourself and maybe I can be of use to you."

Isilmi imedeatly tensed. Drow did not offer to be of use to other Drow without wanting something else out of the agreement. Normally it was something worth much more than what the first Drow had gained. While she was apprehensive to tell the other Drow woman much about herself, she knew that she could tell her the basics without much fear of being called upon later. Besides, she could always turn down any help that the woman could offer her by claming that she didn’t need any such help, that she was more than capable of taking care of herself.
“I am Isilmi Kezifrn, youngest daughter of house Kezifrn of Menzoberranzan. I am a yathrin, as I have already said, and I am here to learn.” Isilmi allowed a to slide onto her lips. “Would you like to tell me about yourself and let me see if I could be of use to you?”

A hand ran though his hair, messing up the careful done tie and pulling out the twin pins, tucking them in the long sleeve of his kimono. He blinked twice, more amused then mad now hands going up to pull the tie out. "I belong to her house..it's not the same thing. " Why did Jaeden even want friends?

"Ah! Well, I'm stupid at times, I really shouldn't assume such things." She laughed lackadaisically as she tugged on a strand of stray hair critically. She stifled a sigh," I'm sorry if i'm bothering you I just have this fetish to talk to people whenever I can. You see, I always travel so I try to atleast make one friend per city or town so that way, I won't feel so alienated if I ever revisit the city." A creeping pink invaded Jaeden's cheeks," You must think i'm strange but, it's just the way I am." She sighed once more.

"Mmm...it's alright," Jysayne muttered for he really did not have the rank or place to tell a female off. He tilted his head back, watching the window momentarly for and view of the mistress before turning back to the insturment. "..You travel? Where?"

Letting out a soft sigh of relief a smile returned to Jeaden's lips," I travel wherever my work takes me." She said with a confirmative nod,"I've been all over the place just about." Her smile some-what faded,"It does get quite exhausting at times though, having to move all over the place and not being able to stay long." She twiddled with her fingers bit," Though seeing all the sights of different places really is exciting!" Jeaden added.
