Alice was pleased with the progress. Hana was so clever building the walls so well and know exactly how high and thick they should be. Getting all the snow suited Alice really well since it meant that she was nearly consistently moving around.
Alice could stay still and do focused work but it didn't suit her so well, she loved moving around. It also interested her to see what was under all the snow since she liked snow but she also liked dirt. She entertained herself wondering if there might be buried treasure under all this snow, then they could put the treasure in their fort to protect it.
"Alice pretty much eats anything and everything. The challenge isn't getting her to eat its to keep her from eating. I had to put locks on all the cupboards in the kitchen as well as to the pantry so that she couldn't help herself. A butterfly would make sense for your daughter, she already looks like becoming a social butterfly."

And, likewise, sitting there and building the walls seemed to fit the butterfly child just fine - while she loved to move around and dance, she was also getting very good at sitting still and concentrating on things, perhaps one thing her cousin had taught her. That, and she didn't quite have the endless stamina needed to move and carry snow around as fast and as long as Alice was doing.
Once she reached where they had decided the door would be, Hana stood and again went to the part she had started from, going to complete the wall again to reach in the other direction and make a full circle. "'SAlmost done !"
"I had a bit of challenge since I discovered meat makes her ill. I don't think she's able to disgest any kind, so I have to be careful she doesn't sneak anything out of my plate and get ill. She definitively fits the part, uh ?" Oh, the irony.

Alice was impressed with how quickly Hana could build walls, she was a bit disappointed in the lack of treasue to be found in the snow but there was still a bit of the fort left to build and even if they couldn't have treasure to protect the fort would still be an amazing fort.
She was starting to get a bit tired from running around and pushing snow, moving in the snow was harder than normal moving but she was determined to fullfill her half of the fort building, besides once it was built then she could have a bit of a breather in it as they defended their fort and as long as she moved snow there was always the chance of treasure.
Kiri grinned "Definetely." She agreed watching Hana she could definetely see her as the highly social type. "I've had to be fairly strict about Alice's eating too, but that's because she'll continue eating if given the chance. I suppose all Edens have their quirks but I didn't get around to asking Shouko when I saw her. Alice was still a leaf so it hadn't really sunk in what having an animal soul would mean."

Likewise, Hana was very impressed with her new friend, who could move so fast even in the snow and carry so much of it at once ! That was so amazing, and their fort would be the best fort ever !
And after they where done, they could..
...
hm...
...
...She'll figure something out !
"Yeah, I figure their animals are influencing them in more than just looks." Wren nodded.

Alice blinked, she'd found something strange in the snow. It appeared to be a rather dirty, crushed top hat and a similarly poor scarf. What were they doing in all this snow? Still... she'd wanted to find something and now she had. Since she hadn't learned about snowmen yet it didn't occur to her that this might be the left overs from one.
She picked up the hat and scarf and took them over for Hana's opinion. Hana knew more about snow than Alice did so maybe she'd know about the mysterious hat and scarf.
Kiri mean while eyed the newest discoveries of her daughter with caution. They looked harmless enough, and it was too cold for dirt to really stick to anything, whereas if she tried to take them off her Alice might become unhappy, she had the saddest look when unhappy. "Its nice to meet other parents of Edens." Kiri observed, "I wonder if Edens have a natural connection to each other."

Hana looked up from her little snow pile when something foreign had flashed in the corner of her vision, and she glanced at Alice and her newfound treasure. "'wats that ? Hn." The butterfly girl pondered for a moment. "Mebbe a snowman lost em." ...But there weren't any snowmen in the park !
... Maybe the snowman had left and forgotten his things, but how where they supposed to find him then ? "We keep safe, and give back if Snowman come back !" Yes, that was perfect. In the meanwhile, it could be their treasure.
Likewise, Wren kept a careful eye on the two girls. "They might, now that I think of it... I havn't really thought about it. Maybe they can just... "tell" that they both come from the same place ? Or something like that."

Alice nodded and put the hat and scarf in the fort before going back to providing snow for the walls. The fort would protect this man of snow's belonging until he returned for them.
A man of snow sounded odd to Alice but she assumed that Hana would know about such things, besides she recognised that she didn't really know that much maybe it was normal for people to be made of snow or maybe snowman meant that they worked or spent a lot of time in the snow like a fireman wasn't made of fire.
"It's hard to tell since Alice is so friendly whether there is anything linking her to others and she's really too young to ask her directly. Oh well maybe it'll become clearer as she meets more Edens."

That was the perfect idea, after all. Maybe the snowman would be so happy when he came back, maybe he would play with them a bit ? Playing with snowmen are fun, but they didn't talk much, even less than Alice did.
A few minutes later, and there was only a small space left unwalled, their door. "We done !"
"Same with Hana, actually, I figure this is something we will figure out later, hmm ?"

Alice was glad for a chance to sit in the fort and partially rest for a while. She didn't really like the idea of not doing anything but sitting and giving her legs a rest was nice.
The only real question now was who were they going to protect the snowman's treasure from? There was no water around so pirates weren't an option and Alice didn't know much about land locked villians. Despite this confusion she was trying to keep a close eye on everything going on outside the fort to determine if there was any threats. She figured that Hana probably knew who the bad guys were but it was best if she kept an eye out for suspicious people too.
"Probably, I could probably go back to the HQ now that Alice has grown and ask Shouko but I figure I'll leave it for the time being, next time I visit I want to take my time and make a list of questions for her so I don't forget this time."

Hana, however, did not seem too worried about potential bad guys, not just yet at least - she was humming a little song and drawing in the snow, peeking up every now and then to make sure there was no baddies around.
Alice probably made a more attentive vigil than her, anyway.
"That isn't a bad idea at all, I should probably do the same... but it's hard to find the time. I've had a lot of work lately." The blue-haired man answered.

Alice was getting bored of staring out of the fort, besides with that silly hat off her ears would probably pick up anyone coming long before her eyes did and she didn't have to stare out of the fort for her ears to work.
This decided her ears perked up a bit and she turned to look at what Hana was doing and venture to add some of her own drawings to the floor of their fort. Perhaps if they ran out of space they could draw pics into the sides of the fort and so make their fort the prettiest as well as the best.
Kiri at the mention of work looked guiltily down at the camera in her hands. She had come here to get some work done but had gotten distracted by parent talk, Lyre would laugh her head off if she knew.

Hana smilled as she noticed Alice was helping her draw now. This was much more fun when she was doing it too ! "'Snice !" she said with a smile on her face. Alice could draw really well, better than she did even !
Wren didn't seem to quite catch that, and with the silence, he set to keeping an eye on the two toddlers. This would be the perfect window for Kiri to take her pictures, now that he had a careful eyes on both girls.

Due to Kiri's work and the amount of time Alice spent in her studio some basic art techniques had slowly started rubbing off on her, still they had nearly covered all the floor which they weren't using. The walls were hard but it was possible that maybe they could be drawn on too, picking up a stick Alice experimented with lightly scratching a flower into the wall.
Kiri noticing that Wren was watching the kids started looking around for suitable trees. She kept the fort in view but wandered around taking photos of the nice snowy branches. Alice was fairly durable to cold but she still didn't want her to stay out in it for too long, besides Hana probably shouldn't stay out in the snow too long either.

...Hey, that wasn't a bad idea at all, expecially since they where running out of room. Thus, Hana began to draw what seemed to look like a bird next to Alice's flower. Clearly the butterfly's artistic talent was a bit more limited.
"'Sbirdie."
Wren seemed to be catching on that idea, as he peeked at his watch. Hm, he would need to be going soon.

The photos safely taken Kiri walked back over to Wren. "I don't know much about tots but I'm not sure if its good for them to be out in the snow much longer." She commented hesitently. "So why don't I take a photo for us of this happy time and we can try and convince them to leave their treasure here."
Alice had noticed that her mum was moving around outside the fort but was too busy concentrating on not poking a hole in their fort to give her much attention. Drawing on the walls was fun but it wouldn't be good if she poked a hole in their fort.
