Emir coughed in his throat. "If the lady wishes... I see the death of all magic. And since magic is what keeps most of the ecosystem here from being destabalised by our inhabitation of it... let alone those ponies who... those ponies who are only alive by virtue of magic," he said softest at the end. "It is noth loss I see but the inevitability of loss, the constant countdown untill my world ends." He cleared his throat, chuckled once and turned to Delilah. "But that is grim tidings for a beautiful day."

Emir's eyes widened and he lifted his hoof to pat her shoulder comfortingly but paused halfway. "I'm sure that whatever trnspired was not your fault... and I can't believe anything you could do would be so terrible."

Emir took his hoof back. "I apologise for my assumption. I am quite unable to believe you were anything but a goddess." He looked into the pool of water. "Lady, I hope you do not take my words badly, sometimes I strike rough chords... with those who do not know me. To be sure of onesself is sometimes a burden."

"A burden?" Delilah echoed. "Those I know of." She pursed her lips, an awkward silence hovering in the air. "And I apologize, I did not mean to be so harsh, it is just difficult for me...I have trouble understanding others' intentions with their words and their gestures. Though your words are very kind..." she trailed off. True his words were kind, benevolent even, they made her feel at ill-ease. She had difficulty accepting them.

Emir smiled sadly. "You don't get them that often, I imagine... though I can't believe it. You're just unused to them. Though if it causes you discomfort I will stop saying such things."
