Hikari Aijuntani Dr. Acula Hikari Aijuntani @Acula: I'm very surprised, you nevern struck me at a Peter Pan fan. I love Barrie's work. I love how they did the movie Finding Neverland about how he wrote Peter Pan. Beautiful movie. Havnt seen it all the way through, mostly because I keep getting distracted when I watch it. or when I find it on tv, its right at the end. But yeah. I love Peter Pan. Didnt really like Peter Pan in Scarlet though. Really? What did I strike you as then? Though honestly, I never would have figured you a tolkien fan. Stephanie Meyer or Ann Rice maybe, but not Tolkien. Pleasant suprise though. I personally got lost the first time I read the fellowship of the ring, but loved the Hobbit. The rest of his books, never really got into. Hmmm, I guess if I had to nail down what you struck me as....I guess I'd say Chaucer or Shakespeare. You have this poetic elegance that just strikes me that way. ^_^ Don't feel bad, I got lost when I first started reading Fellowship; once you stick it out through the first 2 chapters though it gets easier. I myself was very annoyed that the first couple of chapters were devoted to a spoon collection, inheiritances, etc. But I think The Hobbit and The Simarillion are still my favorites. My favorite part of the Hobbit is "riddles in the dark"; where Bilbo is having a duel of wits with Gollum. Stephanie Meyer is actually a recent addition to my library. I foudn her on accident and ended up liking her books. I hate Anne Rice's books....I have yet to find one I enjoy. well considereing that I didnt figure out that Merry was a boy and not a girl untill they got to Rivendell, I would say I'm pretty much a failure at that particular book. The two towers I got through much easier thankfully. And thanks. I did enjoy reading Shakespeare in High School. Probably one of the few in my class who did.

The only vampires novels I ever really got into was Amelia Atwater-Rhodes series. Good books, The shapeshifter trilogy after the vampire books were ok, but I liked the vampires more.

You should try Mercedes Lackey's "Children of the Night" series and L.A. Banks "Forsaken" series. They're really good.

Ah, I've read her stuff before! I can't really say it's something I'd read over an' over, but it was a fun read. :3

I don't much care for the circle series. I've been reading her tortall books for a long time. I really like fantasy and she is one of the few fantasy writers that uses a strong female I actually like (Yeah, yeah... I know there are other strong females out there in book land... but I dislike their characters)
