Zyriex stared off into the distance with her back against the giant oak tree as she sat down with the curious bowl she received earlier in her hands. She could have sworn that she saw something move in there several times! Perhaps it was just her imagination... While examining the basket for the umpteenth time, a small black and white head popped out.

"GAH!" she screamed upon seeing the tiny head.

The tala winced at the loud noise. "Son't scream so loud please...." it replied drowsily. Climbing out of her basket, the tala plopped down on her owner's lap, snuggling there while contently watching the leaves move as a gentle breeze swayed them. She could do this all day long...

"Wow! You're so cute!" She scooped the tala up into her arms and nuzzled it against her face. She paused, held the tala out at an arm's length away, and looked at it critically. "Hrm... I think I'll call you... Elena! How does that sound girl?"

The tala was surprised by the sudden scooping and nuzzling, but the feeling of warmth generated was kinda nice. She cocked her head to the side at hearing what her name was to be. "That sounds..." she paused to think "nice."

"Okay than! Elena it'll be!"
