Anthy merely listened, her much-practiced smile still plastered to her muzzle. She took a break from it momentarily as she dipped her head to take a few sips of her tea.
If she hadn't been to another school, how could she compare them to theirs? She couldn't, obviously.
"Oh?" She quipped with her smile back on her face, listening to Utena's description of the outside world. "I thought other places were similar." She almost added 'of course there's no dorms or fountains' but she held her tongue. Akio would be most displeased if she'd said that, she knew. But she simply smiled, even when Utena said they were crazy. She merely sipped a bit more of her tea before returning her haunting green eyes on her engaged, her picture-perfect smile permanently stuck to her face. "If you believe the people here to be insane and such a thought bothers you, Miss Utena, then why are you here?"

Utena noticeably 'blushed' and looked down at her tea.
"Well, its a silly child's dream, really," her cheeks felt hot underneath her white fur. "But its true."
She smiled dreamily and took in a heartened breath. "My prince is going to meet me, here, you see? Don't you have a prince, Himemiya?" Of course she did. Every girl had a prince.

"A prince, Miss Utena?" She stated with the ever-present smile still stuck on her face. She would've liked to tell her how there were no princes in Ohtori, but that was not part of her duties nor what she was allowed to say, so she held her tongue.
At Utena's question, Anthy merely continued to shine her hollow smile before finishing her tea. She then carefully picked up the bowl and stepped over, setting it into the water basin. She pulled water out of said basin, forcing it to float up above the bowl about a foot before blasting it at the dish to clean it. No one liked the taste of old tea. At least, she didn't, and she figured Miss Utena didn't, either.
Honestly, what a naive prospect. Meeting her prince. Here. There was only one prince she could hope to meet, and he certainly was a prince no longer. He had been once, long ago, but no more. She turned to the pink-maned Ichsa and offered her picture-perfect smile again. "Finished, Miss Utena?"

Utena watched Anthy scrub the tea bowls - somewhat forcefully she imagined. She hoped she hadn't struck a nerve.
"Yes, I can't remember him very well now. Of course, I was very young at the time, but I recall he said that the roses on my right shoulder would lead me to him one day. That's how I came here, only to find the student council bore the same marks. It feels surreal, but I know he's here, I know it. When I find him, well I'm not quite sure what, but I know we'll be happy." She smiled gently and finished off her tea, nodding lightly to Anthy's question.
"Thank you for the tea, Himemiya," she tried, hoping the girl might forgive her for what she might have said. In her experience when one didn't answer it meant they didn't want to. It meant there had been some offence.
"You'll have to make me tea again sometime. I'd appreciate it, anyway." She kept that slightly innocent smile on, the one that was unsure underneath her lips curl.

Anthy continued to smile, listening politely to Utena speak of her prince. Little did she know that the prince she had met long ago was no longer. The stallion waiting for her now was nothing like the prince of her past.
All thoughts aside, as she had to hold her tongue indefinitely in the matter, she merely continued to smile. As Utena finished, the Rose Bride picked up the bowl and placed it in the basin, repeating the cleaning process with the second one just as she had the first. Of course she'd make tea again; it was one of the things she enjoyed doing that she was allowed to do. "Of course, Miss Utena," she said through the plastered smile as she finished cleaning off the bowls. There, no more tea to dry and taste bad next time someone used the bowls.

Utena's smile faded as the purple-haired girl's continued. She looked towards the tea leaves hanging on the ceiling. Maybe Anthy just wasn't interested in that sort of thing.
She sighed, rather loudly, and then unearthed a yawn. She hadn't realized how much the dueling had taken out of her. Well, maybe she had, but the excitement of having a young girl claiming to be a rose bride show up in front of you had whiped the tiredness from her head.
"I'd hate to be a rude hostest," who didn't make her own tea, "but I'm beat." She stretched and shook herself down, walking over to Anthy to bid her goodbye. See her out the door, so to speak.

No, Anthy no longer believed in a prince. The only one she knew was gone, and in his place was a hollow shell of a stallion who she could only hope to change. Though, she was still waiting for her prince to come, despite the fact, subconsciously at least, she didn't know it.
Quickly noting the hint, the rose-adorned mare merely continued to smile, turning towards the door. "Of course, Miss Utena." Who wouldn't be exhausted after a duel? With Saionji, no less. Making sure her wings were settled on her back, she stepped towards then out the door. Before leaving, she turned and smiled again. "See you in school tomorrow, Miss Utena." And with that, the Rose Bride turned and left, angling off to the right before disappearing behind several trees to go visit her brother.

Utena tiptoed out after her, eyes drooping heavily. She managed a smile in return when Anthy spoke.
"Good nigh-" the girl had already vanished behind a grove. "Night, Himemiya." She whispered to no one in particular. With a heavy sigh she turned around and headed back inside.
"What a strange girl . . . " she muttered to herself before settling onto her stomach and lying her head on the ground. She listened to her breathing for a long while after that, never quite getting to the sleep she so desired.
