"Nah, except Dad says he's gonna kill me more often. I don't know why." The way he smiled, all toothy and white, however, gave lie to his words. He knew exactly why Devon was threatening homocide more frequently; it had to do with reaching things he shouldn't, breaking things in his eagerness, and the fact that their small apartment was now smaller by the addition of a teenager as opposed to a child. He brightened even more. "Hey! We might be moving, though. Dad says I need my own room."

Riley laughed, "Well you're a pretty good survivor then, aren't ya?" She shook her head, shifting back on her seat so that her tailfeathers touched the tips of her sneakers. "We didn't change much when I got bigger," she mused allowed, trying to keep her eyes from straying towards the service counter as if she was expecting the food to pop up any minute, "Though we did kick Kai out of the apparentment. He's in Liam's place now. But since all our apparements are on the same floor...it really doesn't feel too different. I just get Kai's old room and all to myself."

"Niiiice," Ignacio drawled. "I hope Dad finds something soon. I mean, I don't mind the place but I think he minds sleeping on the couch, y'know?" He considered things for a moment and then sat up straight as an idea hit. "Hey, is there anything in your building?"

"Unless your dad suddenly joins the military I don't think that's going to work," Riley stated in a matter-of-fact fashion, "The apartment complex we're in is military issued." She leaned forward, putting her elbows on the table and curling the back of her hands to rest under her chin. "But..." she murmured thoughtfully, "I think the building next store is just normal apartments. They might have something there."

Ignacio's face lit up, switching from the immediate look of distress that her first words had brought. He had become instantly enamoured of the thought of living close to his friend but the thought of Devon in the military was almost enough to make him giggle through his disappointment. When she brought up the other building, though... "You think so?" he asked, bright-eyed. "'Cause how cool would it be to live next to each other? We could hang out all the time!"

"Mm...maybe. I dunno, you'd have to go check. But people move in and out of there all the time so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a spot or two," she shrugged. She didn't exactly pay attention to the happenings of the other building. It had never seemed important before. Anyway...She grinned, leaning back, "It sure would be handy! Though if ya can't get anything close I could always drive to where-ever you are." Ahh, the bliss of holding delusions of being allowed to drive.

Ignacio's answer was delayed for a few minutes as the waitress came over, balancing their food on a tray. The wolf-boy sat back immediately and gave the woman a bright, happy grin. The moment she was away, he was already working at his plate. Clearly, Devon had tried to teach him some basic table manners as Iggy refused to talk for the first few moments where he shoveled food into his mouth. Once the initial edge was off, he slowed down, wiped his mouth, and nodded at his friend. "I'll tell Dad then," he announced. "I'd rather live near you than anybody else. Well, except maybe Antony, I guess. Jace is cool, too. But you've got a place nearby and you're not so fussy about what we do when we hang out so it's cooler."

Riley didn't mind their little "moment of silence". In fact, she seemed just as eager to chow-down as her companion. And while she wasn't stuffing her face, exactly, she was eating very rapidly. For a scrawny girl she sure could tuck it away. Well, that was a avian metabolism for you. "Mm..." she chomped on a ketchup drowned fry thoughtfully, "Yeah, they're pretty...mph...cool." She took another and dragged it through her ketchup mound. She would never understand Antony's choice in clothes, though. It always looked like he was going to put on a play.
She shrugged, "I dunno what there's to be fussy 'bout when it comes to hanging out though...anything interesting usually does the trick, right?" She wasn't usually picky, as long as it kept her occupied. Which meant it couldn't involve sitting still for hours and hours, but hey, not many things did that right?

"Yeah, I know." Ignacio shrugged. "You just have to go and do stuff and you can have fun. He doesn't like to get dirty, though." Ignacio pulled his drink towards him and took a noisy slurp from the straw. "I think dirty's half the fun."

"Exactly," She agreed shaking her head and leaning back in her seat, "I mean, honestly, it's not like dirt is going to scar you for life...you just wash it off when you're done. 'Sides, if you are so busy worrying about getting dirty you stop having fun. Just doesn't make sense." Well, at least it did to them obviously. Antony wasn't there to give them any insite, so they weren't really going to get any on the matter.

"Weird." Ignacio shook his head. A full third of his food had disappeared during the conversation and he was finally slowing down. He rested an elbow on the table and considered Riley. "How about we go do something fun next?" he offered. "Let's hang out!"

"We're sorta doing that already," Riley pointed out off-handedly. She shrugged it off within a moment though, looking across the table at him with one eye closed. "Mm...where did you wanna go?" She grinned, seeming pretty open to ideas. Iggy wasn't someone she worried about picking a boring activity.

"How about my Dad's shop?" Ignacio brightened at the thought and pushed his plate away from him. He pulled his drink closer, though, and took a long swallow. "We'll get Robbie to give us tattoos."

"Haha! Ok, sounds cool," Riley laughed, rather surprised by the suggestion, but not minding in the slightest. It sounded like fun. She leaned forward and finished the rest of her lunch, not that she had much left anyway.

"Excellent." With that decided, Ignacio dug into the remains of his own plate with renewed hungery. This was going to be FUN.
