Jasmine blinked at her friend's outfit. "Well.....it does have a lot of frill. But then again, mother doesn't make us clothes with such things. Most of our stuff is simple, light weight, and comfortable." She twirled a bit. "Like when I built my house, I had to wear things that wouldn't get caught on the wood or tear while I was building."
Lotus didn't look any happier at that statement. "Yeah, I know. I'm gonna be a monster, unless something changes me."

"Really? Dad just invested in a house to fit everyone in. Did you like building your own home?" She asked innocently, rifling through her shirts for the next one to try on..maybe one without so much frill.
"How do you know that?" he asked gently. "I'm a dragon and I don't go around biting people's heads off....okay but I do horde a little when it comes to treasures but still."

"Oh yes! I built or made nearly everything in it! Mother helped on somethings that I couldn't do by myself. But it's near her house so if I need anything she's not far away. I even built my bed into the wall, so it looks like a cabinet from the outside! I've got a small kitchen but I usually eat dinner with mom and my siblings." Jasmine smiled brightly, very proud of her building ability.
Lotus blinked up at him. "Well, not all dragons are bad. From my research, there are benevolent dragons." He held up the tattered journal he had been clinging to. It had a pencil attatched to keep from losing it. "But my kind......we are rarely nice. They say our favorite food is human children. So I must be a monster."

Julie smiled. "It must be nice to build. I can only play instruments and help with my little siblings. And look pretty so daddy says." She wrinkled her nose. She wanted to do a little more then just that.
"That could be said about anything. You don't seem to enjoy the taste of human children." He said, not really enjoying the thought of anything eating Joshua and Alexis.

"You mean you don't help make the meals or pick tomatoes and corn from your garden? Doesn't he at least let you repair the house?" Jasmine wasn't use to the idea of such spoilage. Her mother expected her to help around the house being the oldest, and it was what you did as a family. Due to her building nature she had also be allowed to make small repairs to the very old home her mother lived in.
"Well I've never eaten them. I like vegetables, especially cucumbers. People just stare at me so strangely, I just think maybe there really is a monster inside me." The little undera looked up at the older orb-born, wondering what he would say. At least his kind was treated with a sense of awe and respect.

"Well, Raven sometimes let's me help her cook, but it's usually her and Dyvim that do the cooking. Daddy doesn't really eat food like we do... Jay can though. I usually help out with Joshie and Alexis. And Daddy doesn't really let me touch the house....He's like old world France or something." She murmured softly. "But it must be fun to help around more."
"We all get stared at...Myself, Julie, everyone. Heck sometimes even our owners get stared at from time to time." Dyvim smiled softly. "But it doesn't mean we're monsters. "

"Wow, old world France. Mother showed me a book about that! Hey! I know! Why don't you and your brother come to my house for lunch! Mother always makes lots of food so I'm sure you'd be welcome!" She was very excited about showing Bella her new friend. She knew not everyone experienced life like she did so she wanted to show it was a fun life.
"I dunno. I guess I'll just wait and see. So what is your family like? We only know a few other orb-born and their guardians. Our mother is a witch named Bella Donna." He looked to the other dragon, more comfortable around him as he was both male and orb-born.

"That sounds nice. I'd have to let dad know though, so he doesn't worry about we're were at." She smiled. "Then again with Dyvim with me, It shouldn't be too bad. So what's for lunch?" Julie chirped.
"Well... My guardian's a vampire melnibonean, an elflike race I suppose. Julie's a luck fairy, a little out there, wild and sassy at times but she's usually a little lady and typical girl. Jay's a human and soft in personality but he's alright. Joshua and Alexis are the twins and mischief makers..." Dyvim listed, blinking as he tried to think of others and anyone else he might have missed.

"Home made bread, roasted meat, and a vegetable stew. Mother grows all her own veggies, makes her own bread, and buys fresh meat from the market every day! Sometimes Lotus brings us a fish or two." She thinks after Julie says she should tell her dad. "Well we can stop by your house first then head to mine. That way you work up an appitite! Oh, its getting dark." Jasmine looked out a skylight to the darkening sky.
"Wow, you have a big family." Lotus blinks as Jasmine mentions it was getting dark. He frowned a bit, he didn't like the dark yet he felt safe in it. It hide him from view and deep water was usually kind of dark.

Julie frowned. It was getting darker... "Perhaps we should pay for our new things and get going?" She suggested, unsure how this would turn out. She didn't quite want to leave her new friend but she didn't want to be caught outside after dark either...things lurked there in the dark.
"Yea a big family." He smirked then slowly frowned as he noticed the undera's frown. "You alright?"

"Yeah sure!" Jasmine floated over to the counter and bought the shirt and skirt she had tried on. She waited for Julie then took her brother's hand as they walked outside. "So we go to your house first? Because my mother doesn't have a phone."
"It's getting dark. Thats when all the other monsters come out." He held his book to him until his sister took hish and and they were outside. He didn't seem paranoid but he did look around like he was expecting something to jump out.

Julie nodded after paying for her goodies. "Yea...at least then you can meet my dad."
Dyvim followed quietly behind his sister and their new friends. The dark seemed scary but the dragon was undisturbed by it.

"The lead the way!" The pixie floated back and forth as she talked with Julie about girl type things. Something she didn't understand as they were more modern than what she was use too. "So Julie, do you have a boyfriend?"
Lotus followed his sister and the other female, sticking close to Dvyim. He didn't want to get seperated from the group and get lost in the streets. No one would help a lost monster.

Julie shook her head. "No. No boyfriend. Daddy freaks about that stuff....though I do have a crush on a rather handsome pirate...." She blushed, giggling quietly.
Dyvim glanced at the kappa quietly before he'd turn to watch his sister. "You seem off balance this evening." He murmured softly, blantantly ignoring the few stares they gained from what people could see of them.

"A pirate? Aren't those dangerous men? Stealing from ships and living in dangerous ports? I would think your father would go out of his mind if he thought you wanted to date a pirate." Jasmine giggled a bit as they continued their stroll.
Lotus blinked and looked to the dragon. "I don't mind the dark, its just.......getting lost I don't like. I was lost before mother found me. My original owner........didn't want me....." He looked down a bit, even though he couldn't remember his owner it still hurt to think he was unwanted.
