[na.na] Chieira [na.na] Chieira [na.na] It. Made. Me. Die. Okay, the Madara thing is completely tragic, he's totally pretty too! But right now, I hate him with a burning passion. Sasuke needs to kill Itachi. The last chapter made him lose like forty respect points. xD; Same for me. It's kind of like how... Kishimoto built up the akatsuki as being so evil and diabolical, and then when their ultimate plot was explained a while back, it turned out to be like... some kind of ninja money-making scheme? A big let down - same with Itachi. There was so much build-up with his character, so many little hints thrown out... and this is what we get? xD; It just kind of ruined him for me, now I'm just ready for Sasuke to kill him and get it over with. He's not the same character that I liked (inner!Itachi? Seriously?), and his reasoning is really very shallow. Basically, it all boils down to him wanting power. How many times have we seen that already? All this build-up for Itachi, and then he has the same exact motive as everyone else? What the hell? Now Pein, his motive was interesting. I expected something equally interesting for a character we've been following since practically the beginning of the series. But we were let down u.u So, basically, my feelings about this are: Itachi is not the same character that I originally liked, and this new Itachi has very shallow, uninteresting, generic motives. I'll continue reading in hopes that things improve, but... *sigh* Pretty much. Itachi was my favorite character, but he turned out to be just another power hungry freak that it clinically insane. Deep down, we all knew that Itachi's reason for not killing Sasuke wasn't out of affection, but for something like this, its just pathetic. If I was Sasuke I'd be a little annoyed. Totally anti-climatic and heart-ruining. As for the Akatsuki, at least Pein isn't spineless. His morals aren't completely fsck'd. He is restoring is village from the chaos of war. I'm still super confused as to who he is, but I guess we'll just have to wait till Tsunade kills him to figure it out. My point with Pein was just that at least his motives are interesting. Itachi just turned out to be another run-of-the-mill, power-hungry villain. It's a huge disappointment xD; I never really expected any affection for Sasuke from Itachi, I just expected better motives xD His character had so much potential, and Kishimoto gave him so much build-up that I was expecting something really interesting. I mean, we've waited practically the entire series for this, and then it was just... totally unoriginal. Completely, it even makes his killing of his clan less. . . special? -.- Madara probably did most of the work. Itachi's nothing more then an angsty 30 year old who's daddy loved him too much when he was little.... xD; Exactly. Blah, I've probably ranted about it too much, it was just such a big disappointment for me that I can't get over it. The killing of the clan thing... now we know that all that was was part of his plan for moving towards being the most powerful Uchiha. Like another friend of mine has said, at least with the "to test my capacity" excuse, we could assume Itachi was a bored sociopath. Way more interesting than just a typical power-hungry villain.

Every last ounce of respect and like I had for Itachi has a character has disappeared over the last two chapters. He's gone from being a genius mastermind to a pawn. The next couple of chapters better be really good to make up for this.

i dont necessarily want sasuke to DIE but to have super sex with naruto for th fans first...but he's the onenight stand kinda guy soo he'd run off with sai or something later

I didn't really think of this chapter as ruining my life... but more like ruining whatever respect I had for him... which was practically nothing anyways. But it was so STUPID! I mean, he killed his whole clan just so he could SEE?!
And Itachi's 'happy" face was funny... but definietly creepy.
Oh yea, and it seems like Kishimoto-sama is pulling a J.K. Rowling: it's sounds like a bad fanfic. no?

That was part of what made it so life-ruining (the gang-rape of his character and motives aside). Yes, saying it ruined my life is just my way of saying it ruined Itachi's character for me. I'm not so into Naruto that a bad plot twist can ruin my life, but it does sound much more dramatic that way, don't you think? xD And yeah, that's actually what a friend of mine said. She thinks this proves that Kishimoto reads fanfiction for his series, but that someone needs to direct him to the good fanfiction.
