Oh wow! Soap Opera...Harry Potter-style!
That would be interesting.

If Mr. Lowe (from The Great Debaters) who is actually a real person, were to be in Hogwarts. He would probably be a Slytherin. Sure, he was "brave" and debated often despite the odds and whatnot. But when it really came down to it, he was a pretty ambitious, sex/anger driven, and logical person. Ambition and logic are two important qualities in Slytherin. As a student, he would just be one of those other Slytherins. As a teacher, on the other hand, he would probably be something along the lines of Snape. Although he is emotionally-driven, he probably would learn how to just suppress his feelings to the point of having an apathetic demeanor.

If Mistress Mary from the Secret Garden was to join the Harry Potter universe, she would/could be so happy because it means that magic is real. She would possibly be put in Gryffindor because she did find and befriend Collin when everyone else told her to keep away and I'm guessing that she likes adventures.

P.S. The person who played Mrs. Medlock in the movie also plays as Professor McGonagall the Harry Potter Movies! biggrin

I think that if Rand Al'Thor from the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, went to Hogwarts, he would be sorted into Gryffindor. He is very brave and courageous. He is just like Harry in many ways and could have been a asset in the last battle or anytime in the War. He would probably fit in better there than in his own world where everyone either worships him or hates him because of his ability to do magic-like stuff. He could also teach everyone how to use a sword or bow if they ever lost their wand and happened to have a sword or bow and arrows.

If Aly from the Daughter of the Lioness duology was in Harry Potter, she'd probably be in Slytherin but one of the good guys. She's a spy, and very sneaky and witty, with lots of ambition and absolutely no problem with lying to get her way. However, she believes in equality and the power of good to prevail over evil. I suppose she'd be one of the Order. And probably a spy. :]

If Roland Deschain of Stephen King's Dark Tower series was in Harry Potter, he'd either be in Gryffindor or Slytherin. I'd say Gryffindor because he is brave almost to the point of stupidity, and is dead-set on defeating those he considers evil. He could be in Slytherin, though, because he is single-minded to the extreme and is willing to hurt innocents and those he loves in order to achieve his goal (reaching the Tower). He's a loner, and probably wouldn't be on either side, particularly, since he believes that ka (fate) will take him where it will, and he would settle for either side as long as it helped him find the Tower.

If Sasuke from Naruto was in Harry Potter, he would most definitely be in Slytherin. He is one who would do anything to get greater power and ultimately revenge his brother--even abandon his friends. As a Hogwarts student, he would be very popular, especially amongst the witches, but he would also be rather skilled at magic...just like Tom Riddle Jr.!

I just watched a couple of Disney movies with my nieces, 6 and 8 years old.
Mary Poppins - struck me as a Hufflepuff: making sure everything was tidy and taken care of "in every job that must be done, there is an element of fun...you find the fun and snap! The job's fun!
The mother- a bit of Gryffindor "dauntless crusader for women to vote!"

Lady and the Tramp - Tramp is definitely an adventuring Gryffindor and rule breaker! Trusty Bloodhound- though retired, a Hufflepuff, even his name speaks of the House. Jock the Scot terrier and explainer - a Ravenclaw. Eng and Chang the Siamese cats "re-arrangers" - Slytherins!

Archimedes owl of the Sword in the Stone - an Animagus, and a Ravenclaw at that. He loves to instruct and quote books.

Awesome!
Hehe. I remember watching Lady and the Tramp as a little kid and Eng and Chang are Slytherins in my opinion.

Hmm...In the book, My Family and Other Animals, Larry Durrell would be a Slytherin in the way he's portrayed.
He always claims that he can do ANYTHING (but he can't prove it with his actions) and that's he's a great writer. His ego is generally pretty big. But anyway, he actually does become a pretty famous writer in real life.

I LOVE that movie!
I think if Ender Wiggin from Ender's Game was in Harry Potter, he would study Voldemort and defeat him easily. I don't know what house he would be in though...

If Dawn Summers, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, were thrust into the Harry Potter world, she would be the youngest teacher in the staff, probably teaching Charms. She would change the books, because she would probably find away to thwart the prophecy that says Harry must either kill or be killed because she has experience with these things.
Link: Beware, there are major spoilers for BTVS.
-----
If Sora from Kingdomhearts joined the Harry Potter world, he'd be a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher because of his experience with the heartless. He would change the books because he would probably get rid of Voldemort by himself with his nifty Kingdom Key.
Link: Warning: Will contain spoilers for KH1&2.

Ok, here I go!

If InuYasha from... well, InuYasha were placed in the Harry Potter world, he would likely be in Gryffindor because he's really hotheaded and also very brave. All the teachers would hate him because he's a loudmouth and really sarcastic, but Dumbledore would probably find him amusing and admire his spirit. He would probably be mistaken for a metamorphmagi or an animagus stuck partially through the transition on account of his ears, but it's ok, because he wouldn't let anyone bug him about it! He'd snore really loud in his boring classes, and probably blow things up in potions for being too hasty.

Looove this thread- particularly Dash Parr, Lyra Belacqua, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Dawn Summers and Larry Durrell!
Hmm. I have a load of ideas , and if I may be allowed to begin with the most bizarre of those:

Toad from The Wind in the Willows would be an excellent Slytherin. Actually, Slughorn reminds me of Mr Toad in many ways. I think he'd be a teacher- quite possibly Muggle Studies, because then he could show off his new obsessions every lesson- motorcars, carriages, boats- whatever he was crazy about that week, he would make his students study it. He'd always be telling the other teachers how to do their jobs, but he'd have a few firm friends anyway because people would find his eccentricities endearing and his pompousness amusing. (This would be before Toad's character reformation/redemption)

Jack Harkness from Torchwood- had he come into the wizarding world at a young age, he'd be a Gryffindor because of his impulsiveness and passion, but the Sorting Hat would have had to think about it for a good while. He'd start out as a Defence Against the Dark Arts assistant and would fall in love with several members of the teaching staff. Eventually, he'd be fired for having an affair with one of the older students (you decide which student you think it'd be!) and would end up working for the Ministry, helping to keep the magical world hidden from the muggles and keep alien activity involving magic secret from the whole world.

Dr. Gregory House from my favorite television series ever, House!

If House joined the Harry Potter world, he'd (of course) be a doctor at St. Mungos, but nobody would like him because he's... well, he's House. He'd need a team for his differential diagnosis, so of course Foreman, Talb, Kutner and 13 would have to come along. He'd be the best doctor in the whole place, and would probably work on helping make Neville's parents better, because he loves a challenge! He'd make fun of his patients and annoy their family with his sarcasm and apparent apathy towards his work. Nobody would like him, but everybody would ask for him. Hopefully wizards have some form of Vicadin, because he needs it. And hopefully the hospital has a supervisor like Cuddy, because she's the only one who can put up with him.

If you need to follow that link, I feel bad for you because you have not experienced the awesomeness that is House.

If the main characters from Pirates of the Caribbean were put into the HP universe, Jack Sparrow would be put in Ravenclaw and he and Luna Lovegood would become best friends. Mr. Gibbs and Neville would so get together and form a sewing circle/magic pirate club. Barbossa and Malfoy would join forces. Madam Trelawney would get shown up in reading the future by Dia Delma/Calypso. Snape and Cutler beckett would trade hair secrets. Voldermort and Davy Johns would so be disgusted by one another and yet have a healthy respect of the other's evilness. Elizabeth, Hermione and Ginny would so be best friends. Ron, Harry, and Will Turner would end up being utterly confused by the ensuing mayhem and Jack would start calling all three eunuchs, while claiming they have wonderful singing voices and should form a Wrock band. xd All the while Dumbledor and Captain Teague (Jack's father and Keeper of the Pirate Code) would be drinking fire whiskey and discussing what it's like trying to enact reasonable rules on juvenile minds.

I find these all very amusing! Great work guys! Haha. Well I've come up with a few but first I'll start with X-men Evolution Characters.

If Logan A.K.A Wolverine were to join Hogwarts it would be as the new DADA teacher. He would not only teach the kids about wizardry defense, but he would also (insult Malfoy and teach him how *not* to be a blundering idiot and eventually make Malfoy turn to the good side) teach them Muggle Defense which would probably cause really long fist fights between Draco and Harry, but that's okay right? I mean we all know men look sexy all sweaty like that. *snicker*

Um okay so the link wouldn't work so I'll just post his profile under here. It's from Beyond Evolution: X-men Evolution, a great XEVO site!

Known only as Logan to his very few friends, Wolverine is a distant man with a past shrouded in mystery. His memories reduced to a flashing series of contradictory images, Logan comes to the Xavier Institute at the behest of Professor X. The object of fear, awe and speculation on the part of the students, he will inspire the X-Men in good ways (providing battle tips after clandestinely watching Danger Room sessions) and bad (inspiring conflict between our core group of X-Men simply by virtue of his loner status and rebellious ways).

Wolverine will not be part of the team. Instead, he will be there as a presence, providing an ethos, the voice of rebelliousness ever creating friction on our team (whether he means to or not). Knowing the evil in people's hearts, Logan knows that mutants must be proactive in terms of dealing with threats, otherwise normal folks will think of "people like us" as needing to be rounded up. In the World According to Logan, the key isn't blending in, as Xavier advocates. It's stopping the people who refuse to blend in from becoming a problem to normal people and, by extension, other mutants.

Wolverine's mutant powers are his hyper-keen senses, enabling him to see farther, and in almost total darkness. He has the tracking ability of a bloodhound, and a nose just as sensitive. He can literally sense danger. He also possesses a healing factor, enabling him to survive any wound. He isn't invulnerable -- he wouldn't walk away from a downed 747 -- but no matter how badly he was hurt by the crash, within a week he'd be right as rain.

Oh, and by the way, he also has these huge Adamantium claws that pop out from the back of his hands. Who put them there? Well, that's all part of Logan's missing memories, and what little he does remember about them tends to contradict everything else. Wolverine is a scrapper; he's ornery when cornered, and loves nothing more than a good fight. But he realizes that these kids have to learn to use their powers and save the world, so he doesn't interfere with their education.

Minerva the Whore 4 Books

Having read the three books they're from myself, I have to agree that Lyra and Rand would be Gryffindors, and that Aly would be a Slytherin. I'd actually love for the Wheel of Time to merge with HP because I'm sure Perrin and Remus would have plenty of wolf-y issues to discuss. exclaim

Jack Sparrow is too interested in short-cuts to be a Ravenclaw. The way he manipulates people is more Slytherin, but I understand that the pirate post was more meant to be amusing than logical.

All of the main "hero" characters from InuYasha would probably be Gryffindors....Hmm, that's actually a rather boring thought, but I still love that anime.

Know what anime I'd love to be crossed with the Potterverse? Fruits Basket! Momiji and Tohru would be the perfect Hufflepuffs! They'd be great friends for Neville. Uo and Kyo would likely be Gryffindors. Hana fails toomany exams to be a Ravenclaw, but I'd love to see her befriend Luna; they can be weird outcasts together!

Hatori would make a good Ravenclaw, but I want to put him in Gryffindor because Ayame, Shigure, and Hatori remind me a lot of James, Sirius, and Remus in their school years. Ayame and James are both big-headed, Shigure and Sirius are tactless and loving black dogs, and calm, responsible Hatori felt his "curse" was a burden on the woman he loved. Know what? Hatori can be a Ravenclaw, Shigure can be a Gryffindor, and Ayame can be a Slytherin (he does turn into a snake, after all) and they can be as close as the Marauders anyway! exclaim Shigure would definitely spend time with the Weasley twins if they were in the same House. They'd drive the professors mad if Shigure didn't have a book editor to torture yet. rofl

Prince Yuki would definitely have a bigger fan club than Cedric did, though I have no idea where I'd sort him. He's extremely intelligent, polite, self-controlled, wants desperately to be liked for who he is, and when he accepts the student council position (which he is as successful in as he is in everything else) it isn't because he wants power for himself. Where on earth does he belong?

Tohru, Momiji, and Ritzu are too gentle to be Order members, but Hatori, Haru, and Kyo would be good additions to it. Hana and Yuki can acheive Snape's mysterious aloofness that make a good spy; maybe they could do that.

Akito would support Voldemort even though he likely wouldn't be a Death Eater himself because he's so ill. He (Yes, I know the in the manga Akito is actually a she, but she masquerades as a man and I address her as such.) is an oppressive Head of the Family that reminds me of Sirius' mother.

Hopefully, once Remus' lycanthropy was cured the Sohma curse could be cured too. 3nodding
