Tope laughed. Now she was more beautiful than she could ever imagine. There was something delicate and bold about a girl that allowed mud on her... but she did complain... but that just showed her girly side and he loved it. He shook the few clots of dirt that had flung his direction, off his nose. Hmm. Well I suppose if we have to... we can ask directions... I am sure others know of the Firekin...
But we'd have to make up an excuse to why we would want to knowHe pondered aloud, standing up and going next to her to start to groom the muck from her lovely pale fur. Well then... lay down and let me clean you then

And she lay down next to him, stretching out beneath the beautiful moonlight. Somewhere behind her crickets began their nightly song and she twitched her ears, turning her eyes lovingly to her mate.
"An excuse?" She nodded. "It's probably best not to go around spurting thoughts of revenge at everyone we see." She replied. "How about we say the Firekin have our cub? That we want to try and rescue her." She looked at him and the thought of a family trickled like thick syrup through her mind.
A family. A thought that was fleeting but rather agreeable. Someone to continue the line if she were to...
She smiled, not letting on to her thoughts.

Tope gazed at her and nodded slowly, thinking o the same thing she was... a family. Cubs. He promised himself that when he returned to see his family again... he'd have cubs either romping behind them or being carried by Jini. He smiled, nuzzling up next to her and yawning. All this night time chit chat was making the big fluffy male sleepy. He lay his head over her back, taking in the smell of her fur and the mud that clung to it.
A daughter.... wouldn't that be wonderfu]l He said, another yawn creeping across his maw. the, as if in an instant... his pink eyes shut and he began to sleep.[/color

She smiled "Yes it would." She replied, not sure if he heard or not. Her eyes felt heavy, suddenly, now that their game was over, she felt as if she could sleep for eternity. Her eyes slipped up to the sky and before she slept, they sought and found one shimmering star, small but bright.
Then, cuddling close to Tope she curled up and slept too. And her dreams were good ones.
