Ramus would have agrued with what she said but when he heard the noise then the sight of a older stallion when he looked where Dafina, his mouth stayed shut. ears flicking back, he wondered who it was but thinking on Dafina's reaction it was clear who is was. defiantly he stayed where he was though he had the urge to move away. this would be the first tiem he ever encountered another male outside of his own family.

Lowering her head, Dafina's bangs cast a heavy shadow over her eyes. Moving back towards Ramus, she watched as Dragonfly came forward. She wanted to run, to flee from this place. But he would surely run her down.
And what about Ramus? What would he do?
Dragonfly's eyes narrowed heavily as he stopped a few feet away from the two. His steal gaze locking on Dafina with a snort. "Dafina, it would be in your best interest to go back to the herd. You shouldn't be fraternizing with strange stallions. Not someone in your position anyway." His voice was cold and expressionless, but his eyes said enough about his disposition.

Ramus didn't lower his eyes, and defiantly stared right at Dragonfly. ears flicked back, he did not liek how Dafina was being talked down to like she was property. " i'm not some strange stallion, i'm her friend who doesnt liek how your treating her." snorting, he knew he was asking for trouble specialy with this stallion but his father adn grandfathers personalit was now showing rather than his normal laid back position of his mothers. glaring, being defiant was something he did on a normal bases.

The dark stallion's head snapped sideways slightly as he locked eyes with the younger one. His tail giving a vicious flick against his back legs. "You may be her friend, but I am her family. She listens to me and does what she is told. Dafina knows the consequences of her actions and if you stand in the way of my herd than you AND her will suffer the consequences. What kind of friend would put his own friend in that kind of position." Pawing at the ground, he kept his head held high. "You have no place in her life so I'd suggest you just run along. This will be my one and final warning."

Ramus bared his teeth and moved himself infront of Dafina. " no family would punsh her over something someone else does. only i sould pay the consequences for my actions and no one else." tail flicking about in anger, he was not happ with how this grandfather of Dafina's was treating her and even infront of someone he didnt even know. " i think i have to disagree and i dont care if its the last warnign i get."

A deep rumble churned in Dragonfly's chest before he burst out laughing. "And just what do you think your going to do? I can already tell just by the way you stand that you've never actually fought a real fight. You will loose and Dafina will return to where she belongs. It is her destiny. No one can stop it." The stallion pawed at the ground even more, sending bits of dirt and snow up into the air as he sized Ramus up. This would be a quick.
Dafina frowned heavily. She knew what her grandfather was capable of. Many times since she had been taken had she seen him beat down the other stallions of his herd. No one was exempt. Not even her own uncle.
"Ramus..." She whispered now. She didn't want them to fight, but in turn she didn't know what to do now. At this point, she was regretting even following after her friend.

" thats doesnt mean i can't try and i wont back down or bow down to you." Ramus was geting more irritaded by being laughed at which he found insulting. ears still back and teeth bared at the older stallion again, he didnt care if he got beatn down atlest he would know he had tryed to help his friend even if it ment him geting hurt. so intent on the older stallion he did not catch Dafina's whisper of his name.

"Your not worth bowing down to me." His ears flicked back as he gave his tail another vicious flick back and forth. "So be it...." The stallions voice grew dark and in an instant he shot forward. Teeth bared and front hooves flying as he tried to knock Ramus down. No one, NO ONE was going to come in between him and what was his. He had put too much effort into Dafina to let her go now. Firefly had no place, and so the younger mare would have to take her place.

Ramus was not expecting to be attacked so quickly and so he went stumbling as he tryed to move from the attack so that he could counter with his own. unlucky for him was the fact he never been in a real fight and only brawled with his father and brother. grunting he was not about to allow himself to be knocked down so quickly but he had been close to falling down with out much time to regain footing and counter with his own attack which would give the older stallion the advantage.

Even for Dragonfly's age, he was still fairly quick. His hooves flailed through the air as he looked for them to contact with Ramus' body. Shifting his body weight, he sent his body towards the younger stallion. Hoping that at least this would contact and he would send him off of his feet. "Your a fool! And you will die a fool!"
Dafina scrambled out of the way of the fighting stallions. Her eyes wide in horror as she hid between a pair of trees. She wanted to run, she wanted to cry. But the scene in front of her preoccupied her mind too much to allow her to do either.

Ramus scrambled to throw his own body right back at Dragonfly as Dragonfly had already started to send his body right at him to knock him over. being head strong he was not going to backdown unless he was forced to realize that he was unable to do a thing. because of the fact he had been off blance when he had tryed to counter by throw his own body weight against Dragonfly's he had no hope of staying on his feet. so once they colided, he went stumbling again til he actualy fell over from the froce of the blow plus the fact he had been offblance had not helped him one bit.

The stallion loomed over Ramus as he toppled to the ground. Red eyes peering down at him, solid and unwavering. "Give up. You'll never take her away from us. Run away now and I might spare you. She's not worth your life."
He stomped a hoof close to Ramus' head, letting the younger stallion know he meant business. This wasn't some silly little game.

Ramus would have tryed to get back on his feet but Dragonfly was already looming over him like he was ready to carry out a death sentance. oh he was ready to make a defiant responce but when his hoof came crashing down right next to his head, he knew he was forced to admit he was beaten. staying still and limp, he mentaly cursed himself for being unable to stand up to this controling stallion. "you win."

A slight smirk curled the corner of Dragonfly's mouth. He knew eventually this stallion would back down. Too inexperienced. Too hot headed to see the obstacle in front of him. "Smart choice."
Backing away, he moved past Ramus towards Dafina. Lowering his head and nudging at her side to get her moving back to the herd. Turning on his hooves, he himself began the trip back. Stopping and turning to look at the fallen stallion. "Its better if you just forget about my granddaughter. Shes in a different world now."
Dafina grunted lightly at the nudge to her side. She knew this was how it was going to turn out to be and had warned Ramus. And now she was kicking herself mentally for even trying to believe other wise. Her head drooped as she walked slowly back in the direction of the herd.
Passing Ramus, she gave him a mournful glance. "I'm sorry..." She whispered before trotting ahead to catch up with her grandfather. Giving him one last glance before she slipped away and out of sight.

Ramus slowly got to his feet as he watched them leave. ears pinned back in anger, he kknew he had been foolish to have challanged the older more experianced stallion. snorting, he walked off in the other direction with his head hanging lower than normal with the nasty taste of defeat still there.
