Mnyama blinked, staring at the poor ear. It made her own ear hurt just to think about pulling at it and scratching so much, but bugs.. it wasn't a pleasant thought, having bugs in the ears.. but it wasn't something that particularly bothered the dark hare. The more Nafsi rambled, the more Mnyama was reminded of her mother, but in a different way. At least Cheshi was ok when hiding away in the den, bugs could be anywhere.. mama was ok when she felt safe, when Meme was around, when they were all at home.
It almost made her feel guilty, knowing she'd left in such a hurry after hearing about more kittens.
"No bugs in your poor ear," she mumbled, pulling at her own ear absently, protectively, guiltily, "Maybe I should go back home.."

"It's okay, you can go...t-thank you for looking?" She offered apologetically, she understood her behavior was seen as extremely irrational. Who was she kidding the only friend she had a was a sissified hyena that was trying to do good deeds for others, how could she ever be normal!
flicking her ear she gave Mn a warm smile, "It was nice to meet you, I hope that you have many new siblings, more hares mean more protection, of course you don't need that with two lions!" She sighed hoping that by saying this she wouldn't leave the female with too bad of an impression.

Mnyama immediately realized the mistake she had made. Nafsi was under the impression that she wanted to leave simply to get away from the her. That was not it at all, though she would admit Nafsi was rather odd. But Mnyama was used to quirky hares, she was .. sort of raised by one.
"It's not you!" she offered reassuringly, "I just.. I ran off on my mother, and I know she won't like that.."
If any of her family heard her say this, they would have been stunned.
"I guess I have to be more considerate to her," she mumbled, not really wanting to confess to a stranger that she lacked a lot of respect for her mother sometimes, "Maybe I'll see you again and you can show me Wana and I can show you Meme." She would have offered Angavu, but she wasn't dumb enough to introduce a cub to anything bigger than them.. yet. Besides, Meme would be more impressive.

Nafsi visibly sighed as the black pelted hare said it was not her that was causing her to run off, albeit she probably wasn't helping her own cause for friends. The plump hare nodded jerkily as she listened.
"Your mother would probably understand? I'm sure that she knows you love her, I think it's a mother thing." Nafsi offered shrugging slightly, she was just guessing, she didn't exactly know what it was like to be amother or have one.
Her eyes widdened, "Wana has always wanted to meet a lion, that would be perfect! Wait until I tell him!"

"Maybe, but it can't hurt to remind her," Mnyama said carefully, shrugging. Her mother loved her, even if she was irritatingly worried about her, smothering, trying to keep her safe. Pfft, even Mnyama could hardly believe what she was thinking now. She blamed the fact that her mother was pregnant, made Mnyama weird in the head, clearly! The kittens might be a nuisance to their older sister, but things would be better for all of them if Cheshi was helped instead of hindered.
"All right, then! I'll see you again sometime, Meme is big and dull-gold colored," she described Meme so they could keep an eye out for her, "I'll see you!"
She smiled, and then turned to hop back to the den.
