The monster is only similar to Godzilla in regard to its size, It is not Godzilla. And yes, the entire movie is a recording from a video camera like the Blair Witch Project.

My buddies went to this one, they said it sucked though, the ending was bad, and they didn't like how they used the camera like a home video, how it is shaky and stuff.

I've had people say it was amazing while others say it sucked.I guess it's really up to your tastes.
