ZazzyH if you like girly, romantic, love triangles, then i would suggest Peach Girl. if you like romance and fashion, then Paradise Kiss. one of my favorites when i was about 9 was Salior Moon. i loved it. don't watch peach girl! they totally ruined it. if you wanna get into that go read the manga. it's way better.

i'm going to recommend some very good anime, but some of them are old.
-cowboy bebop is very well done. the ending is awsome but very sad if you love the main character.
-wolf's rain, i commented on that earlier.
-rah xephon i heard was very good. i haven't actually watch it myself.
-trigun is good if your into the whole new age cowboy thing. [vash the stampede is the smex! ^^]
-witch hunter robin is good if you like witch craft things and like depth to the story and can handle some slow episodes.
- outlaw star is a very good anime. it's alot like tenchi muyo, but i would recommend outlaw star if you have to chose.
-chobits is good too. though it's kind of perverted and all, but it's depth is pretty good. there is also some nudity.
- piolet candidate is different though the voice acting kind of sucks with some of the characters... if you can ignore that it's pretty good.
-gundam wing[endless watlz] is one of the best gundam series if you're into the whole mecha thing.
-evagelion is pretty screwed up at some points, but it's very good.
-sensitive poronograph is a very well done yaoi hentai! ^-^
-elfen lied is also a great anime. as long as you can handle some nudity and don't mind seeing a girl rip people apart with her special powers. the worst scene would be where some kids beat a dog to death... a very intense scene i'd have to say... =__=
- lucky star is funny and very good, but i would suggest watching the melencholy of haruhi suzumiya. that's very good too.
i know some of these were mentioned before, but i guess that just means they are even better. that's all i can think of as of now.

lil chi-chan SexySesshyLover here are some really good anime to see 1 xxxholic 2 Tsubasa Chronicles 3 Inuyasha 4 Card Captor Sakura 5 full metal alchemist 6 Bleach 7 Death Note 8 Fruits Basket 9 Naruto 10 Wolf's Rain sorry to go off on the anime you recommended, but i have to say something about some of these. 1 xxxholic - never heard of 2 Tsubasa Chronicles - never watched, but my friend says it's good 3 Inuyasha - don't even watch it. it doesn't end, the creator gave up on it, but if you insist only watch the first season. the rest is nothing but repeated ideas. 4 Card Captor Sakura - i haven't watched this in a while, but from what i remember it was good. 5 full metal alchemist - freakin' awsome anime. very controversial. 6 Bleach - i don't really like this. it just a rip off of other anime. 7 Death Note - very good and different from other anime. 8 Fruits Basket - i don't like all that much... 9 Naruto - it's too main stream and idiots ruin it, besides that it get really repeatative and predictable... 10 Wolf's Rain - very good anime. i highly recommend it if you can handle to blood and just some of the depth and sadness in it. this is to what you said about Inuyasha, the only reason that the creator stoped make the anime, was because it would be crappy little side arcs that had nothing to do with the Inuyasha story

I like some anime, though its not THAT great. Geez, my friends are obsesed. They like naruto, though personaly I don't like it. I like funny animes, like the meloncholy of haruhi suzamiha, azumongo daioh, and I guess Inuyasha a bit. I watched Chobits and liked it, though it was alittle weird. I'm sure there was a few otheres, but I can't think of them now...
