I'd have bitched at them, like I did with some Minnesota "right to life" group who was sending me s**t.
I don't see what they hoped to accomplish with plastic fetii... Wasting money?

"Right to Life" is code for "we feel we have the right to shove our opinions down your neck". I wonder if pro-life even does anything other than listen to and spread propaganda. rolleyes

Having been to Wisconsin several times, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that less than 10% of the people living there have a Right to Life, born or otherwise.
I would laugh, throw it away, or send it back.

Suteko Plastic fetuses? I got one of those creepy little things in 7th grade Health class. Some lady from a CPC came in and talked about the horrors of abortion and passed them out. Had I cared as much as I do now in my freshman year, I would've made a fool out of her.
Anyway, here he is. I named him Herbert and shoved him in a drawer.

You'd think they would have better things to spend money on ... Okay, that's ******** up for two reasons: 1. What were they doing bringing anti-abortion propaganda to a seventh-grade classroom?! If that was a public school, they should have got into HUGE trouble over that. It's not relevant to sex-ed material, it's nothing but propaganda and it's not medically accurate. 2. I've seen a REAL 12-week-old fetus preserved at "Bodies: The Exhbition." It looked nothing like that! And the thumb-sucking bullshit is a blatant appeal to emotion. I doubt a fetus can do that at that stage of development. Why don't they show what other unconscious actions fetuses make in the womb? Like masturbating!

Freedom Fire LadyInWhite Isn't that a choking hazard for small children? Irony! Perhaps it's made using toxic chemicals that can cause birth defects or miscarraiges?

I'd keep the fetus and and use it for a decoration on something and I would mail it back with a coat hanger.

My English teacher was took care of the anti-choice propaganda in 7th grade. stressed
The high school I used to go to was unbelievably conservative, but I agree. It was totally ******** up. That's what lifers like to do; appeal to your sentimentality and tug on your heartstrings. From what I've seen, whether they use accurate information rarely seems to concern them. They pulled every trick in the book too ... thinking back it really pisses me off.
Should I put my plastic fetus up for auction of something? You guys seem to want it a lot more than I do. xD

Guardian Angel Aki I'd keep the fetus and and use it for a decoration on something and I would mail it back with a coat hanger. I once found a small, wire coat hanger on the ground. Tiny. I'm planning on bending a red paper clip into the "No" symbol and somehow attaching it, but I don't think it'll be easy. Also, this was posted on Feministing a while ago, also posted on Feministe and a blog called Boing Boing : Yes, it's a fetus. With a gun. The description is the best part: Quote: Protect our troops - from the womb to the war. What if the fetus you were going to abort would grow up to be a soldier bringing democracy to a godless dictatorship? Plastic replica of an 11-12 week old fetus, 3" long, holding a firearm in its precious little hand, with an assortment of other military paraphernalia, encased in a translucent plastic ornament, with a patriotic yellow ribbon on top. Includes a metal ornament hanger. If only a womb were this safe, attractive and reasonably priced! Show that you support the "culture of life" by buying and proudly displaying one of these patriotic unborn Americans.

If anyone has any wire hangers, or wire that could be bent into a small hanger, and nothing better to do:
Wisconsin Right to Life 10625 W. North Avenue, Suite LL Milwaukee, WI 53226-2331
Juuuust saying!

XD Just don't get cut. Thinking of the several women who used those things to abort fetuses, that had to have hurt.

MGadda
Can you send stuff like that in the mail?
Guardian Angel Aki
It was a tiny one made of wire about as thick as a paperclip. How do I attach another paperclip around that?

PhaedraMcSpiffy MGaddaCan you send stuff like that in the mail? Stuff like hangars or folded wire? I don't see why not, as long as it's properly packaged and not poking out of the envelope/box or anything. I think most things you're not allowed to mail are because they're hazardous chemicals (http://pe.usps.gov/text/pub52/pub52a1.html) or otherwise things that are just illegal to have anyway. My only caveat is you might not want to include your return address. wink

Oh man! If I got one of those, those people would have had a veeeeeeeeery pissed Naoki at their doorstep. Not only is it medicaly incorect, it's just pain SICK. Why would someone send out plastic, unrealistic, naked babies in the mail to people?! ANd the baby holding a gun? That just makes me want to abort more! I'm against all tipes of war for any reason whatsoever. At all.

The ornament w/ the fetus & a gun is satire hun, its making fun of right to life groups that are often the same people sporting the yellow magnetic ribbons on their SUVs that say "Support Our Troops." Mainly that they are "anti abortion" but are cool w/ us killing foreigners in other countries.
