Habu smiled a bit, happy to have the confirmation that he could indeed call for her if he needed her. He wasn't sure when he might, but he would certainly keep it in mind. Habu felt he had a somewhat strange life, seeing as Intombi was a bit weirded out.. perhaps he would.

"I guess, but I've been trying to see things I want to see but it hasn't been working," he said conversationally, trailing off a bit when she stopped and turned around. But he continued when he saw what she was doing, "But I have been able to keep them to a minimum since using the feather and Intombi moved in."

He leaned down to make it easier for her when she tucked the feather by his ear, smiling gratefully at her. Then he was reminded of one particular vision he'd had not too long ago, one he'd wanted to ask his mother about.

"I had one vision not too long ago," he started carefully, not sure how to ask about this, "There were two cubs in it, playing.. one was yellow, like us, and the other had purple markings, and a cross on his eye- like you." He hesitated here, wondering how to proceed with this.

Mtima resumed her spot at his side so they could keep walking now, listening to his little story about his vision. She wasn't sure what it meant, never having visions before- she didn't know any cubs like that, and she might have suggested it was him and Kilango from those vague descriptions until he mentioned the purple one being a boy. She only shrugged.

"I don't know what that could be, perhaps it is a vision of the future," she smiled, imagining Habu having cubs or his own, then realizing what he meant when he said they were like her, "I certainly haven't had any cubs other than you and Kilango. She has cubs, perhaps they could be hers."

Oops, she confessed to having seen Kilango already.

Habu shook his head, "She only has one girl--"

He paused, looking over at his mother with a curious look on his face. She knew about Kilango's cubs? How could she know about that unless she'd already seen Kilango, and imagining that she might seek out Kilango first hurt him. His father was so worried about Kilango, never having worried about him, saying he didn't need to worry about him.. was his mother the same way?

"You know about them?" he asked, "You've seen her before you came to see me.."

"It was all an accident," Mtima explained almost immediately, though she was not willing to completely frown over having seen Kilango, "I haven't been too careful where I haven't expected to see your father, she found me one day with her son. I'm not unhappy to have seen her, she is my daughter after all."

She did her best to keep this delicate, because Habu was clearly a bit upset about having been sought out second.

"She's not the same as when she was little," she added.

Habu sighed, not sure he liked the explanation but he couldn't blame his mother if she'd been found- though he still couldn't help but feel a bit upset that she was still happy to have seen her. His thoughts wandered to when he'd seen Kilango, she had really acted much different but part of him still expected it to be a trick. A horrible, nasty trick. But then, how could she have such a sweet cub as Uabutani?

"She said she's changed, said she's sorry, and I suppose Ua couldn't be as sweet as she is without Kilango being different," Habu mumbled in agreement, "But how can we know for sure? I have a hard time just forgiving her, she almost killed me.."
PostPosted: Sat Jan 19, 2008 8:18 pm

"I've seen a lot of things, but not often have I seen something quite like the change in Kilango," she explained carefully, making note of the name Ua- assuming it to be the name of one of her grandchildren, "You know I can see souls, there is something different about Kilango's. It's not something I can explain too easily, but just as a personality can change.. it's reflected in your soul."

Mtima wasn't sure that would be too easy to understand, but she went with it. She sighed, wondering if now might be a good time to bring up Amadet. It was why she'd come to check up on him anyway, but he might not like to know about that part. Perhaps there would be a nicer way of bringing it up.

"Oh, I was wondering if you could help me find someone," she started carefully, taking a round-about route for this.

Habu sniffed thoughtfully whens he explained how even Kilango's soul had changed. Even with that bit of information, that "proof" that she really had changed.. he was still reluctant to just forgive her for what she had done. Perhaps he would have to give up on his grudge, or tone it down a little bit.

He sighed, and was then distracted by her suddenly asking for his help. They were almost to the den he noticed, but he looked back to his mother and nodded.

"Who're you looking for?" he asked curiously.

"A couple lions, actually," Mtima said, deciding to throw in some others to make it less suspicious and because he might in fact be able to help her find more lions she was looking for as well, "A brown lioness by the name of Amadet is one, I was told she might be heading through here. And then there's your friend Kubwa, I'd like to see his son if I could."

She smiled at the mention of Kubwa's son, preparing to explain why if she had to. She could trust Habu, though she half assumed he had seen his friend in the time she had been gone away.

Habu kept his eyes on his mother, knowing the right way to the den from this distance without looking now. He listened, his ears turned down when she mentioned a brown lioness named Amadet, it sounded somewhat familiar but he couldn't think of anyone he knew like that. After all, he saw a lot of lions around the Pridelands and then he had a lot of visions with a jumble of lions and names, and other things. And the mention of Kubwa merely drew a frown.

"I don't know any Amadet," he said apologetically, and continued with a slightly sadder tone, "And I haven't seen Kubwa since before I last saw you. I heard about him having a son, a cousin ran into him before coming to find me.. but I've not been able to find him, or anyone that could be his son."

( so we know Kate doesn't lose it oxo;; )

Intombi had finished grooming a short while ago, and had begun rearranging dirt clumps inside the den. Though she did have a cleaning fetish, she was honestly getting extremely bored. With Riko off with his family, or immediate family rather, and Habu out someplace, she had nobody to talk to. She could've left the den and gone to a water hole or something, but for some reason she had decided to stay back here and just wait for something to happen.

So, when she heard the sound of feet shuffling her way, she got a little overly excited and decided to meet who she was assuming to be Habu outside. Leaving her dirt clumps without a second thought, she bounded outside with a wide grin. It took her a couple of seconds to notice that someone was with Habu, at which point she skidded to a stop and stared. There was still a smile on her face, but her eyes were now more confused than welcoming. "Uhm... Hi." Whoever it was, she looked an awful lot like Habu... and she had wings? This couldn't be who she thought it was, could it?

Mtima at first was relieved to hear that Habu did not know Amadet, that meant that she may have come and never found him, or never bothered with him. Perhaps she was just concerned about the gods, though not finding Habu was very possible with a pride this large. After all, sh'd only found him because she knew where to start her search.

She was going to speak up when suddenly a brown and pink lioness started heading towards them. Mtima did not pause or stop until the lioness reached them and Habu stopped as well. A smile on her face, she looked from the beautiful lioness to her son.

Habu was almost surprised to see Intombi coming towards them, but he couldn't help but smile. Now she was have very solid proof that he wasn't crazy- and if he wanted his mother to meet anyone, it would be Intombi! So he beamed as he stepped away from his mother's side to the middle-side of them so they could still see each other.

"Intombi, this is my mother," he introduced his mother first, then looked over to her, "And this is Intombi, we're- sharing the den."

Intombi gave the goddess a look over, not sure really what to make of her. She'd never seen one before, and up until meeting Habu, she didn't really believe they existed. Here stood living proof that he had been telling the truth. Not that she thought he wasn't, of course. It was more of just, she wasn't totally sure it was possible? It was a difficult situation. "Hi." She managed to get out quickly, nodding to Habu's mother. Talk about intimidating meetings.

After a few seconds of awe, she was able to compose herself and get back to that bubbly state she was usually in. "It's nice to meet you." She wasn't sure what to say or do from that point, so she simply smiled brightly and looked at Habu for some help.

They shared the den, did they? Mtima tried to recall if he had mentioned Intombi in their conversation, but could not quite recall- but then, they had gone over a great deal of information. Smiling, she looked back to Intombi and gave her a good looking over. She was very pretty and well groomed, on the outside- and she was rather equally attractive on the inside.

"Intombi, it's a pleasure to meet you," Mtima said brightly, offering a polite nod of her head, "I'm Mtima'safi, I've just dropped in for a visit, I didn't expect to meet anyone new."

Habu tried not to laugh at the look on Intombi's face when she said hi, and managed a polite, common statement. He shook his head a bit just when she looked over to him, then tried to find something nice for them to talk about.

"I ran into her on my way back from making Riko go home for a little bit," he explained how he'd come across his mother with a nod, "I'm as surprised as you are."

Intombi smiled happily. "I didn't expect to meet anyone, either. But I'm glad I did." She looked around them for a second, and then focused back on Habu. "Must've been a nice walk, then? I've heard a lot about you." She was actually pretty happy to meet Mtima, even if she didn't have much to say to her. If she had known Habu's mother was coming, she might've been a little more prepared. Well, on the bright side, she was freshly groomed!

"Well..." She looked between the pair, feeling like she was intruding on valuable family time. After all, they had been apart for a while, she knew. "Did you guys want to, y'know... go chat in the den or something? I actually sort of tidied it up today. Moved the dirt around..." She trailed off, not sure what else to say.

"Me too," Mtima agreed, glad to have had a chance to meet who Habu was living with. Of course, the more Intombi spoke the more Mtima came to think the same thing pretty near everyone else who heard would be assuming. She did, privately, think they were a cute couple though.

"I think that sounds nice," the goddess said cheerily, accepting the invitation to the den, moving to walk towards it, "Tell me about yourself, Intombi. How long have you lived with my son? How long have you been in the Pridelands?"

Habu smiled at them, glad they were getting along decently and not really expecting much different. After all, they were his two favorite girls- and he thought a great deal of the both of them. He was quickly realizing no matter how much he missed his mother when she had left, he could never really hate her for it. Happy the let them chat, he headed back for the den, leading the way.

How funny it was that Riko was not here for this. He would been downright flabbergasted by meeting Mtima, for he had no idea that Habu's mother was a goddess. Guess that would have taken away the hiding that he really did know Kiwi was OK.

Just as that thought struck him, he realized that perhaps he had found a perfect way to get some help with this situation. Habu very much doubted that Mtima would be staying long, especially where she said it was just a visit. Perhaps.. perhaps she might keep an eye open for signs of where Kiwi might be gone, where they might find her, some more solid proof that she was ok. He would have to ask before she left, but he would not interrupt them.
