I'd have to say Sega is one of my least favorites. Although they have made 2 of the best game franchises of all time (Virtua Fighter and Sonic the Hedgehog), I'm just disappointed at what they've become. Look at them. They've screwed up so many times it's hard to count. Examples: when they launched the Saturn, they decided to umm.......not tell anyone? What the hell was up with that? Also, when they bastardized Sonic, one of their best franchises, by poorly transitioning him into 3-D. Come on, Sega. You could've done better than that. Also, just look at the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast was enough of a failure that I shouldn't even have to explain myself on why I stated it as a major screw-up for Sega. Bottom line: Sega has pretty much nailed itself to its grave with an iron stake. That's my view on it. Also, I have to say Square Enix is one of my least favorites, if not the least favorite, because they severely "milk the cash cow" off Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Why they can pump out 50 Final Fantasy games per year, and not one original franchise that isn't just another lame, J-trash, Final Fantasy-esque RPG that fanboys and fangirls alike will go orgasmic for is something I'll bet even God is still wondering. stare

Also, did you know that Square-Enix (in one of it's many incarnations) is also responsible for Space Invaders, Rad Racer, Bubble Bobble, and Lufia? There's alot more to the company than Final Fantasy.

The only credit it has is that it acquired the company that made it and it became a Square Enix subsidiary . Square-Enix didn't publish nor make them. Only Rad Racer you can count.

Yes, but I refuse to acknowledge these facts because they're devastating to my argument! mrgreen Either way, Square Enix now calls the shots for those companies, and I'm sure we'll see more games like those coming from good ol Squenix. We already got Project Sylpheed (which was doomed the moment it became 360-exclusive) and hopefully the quality of these non-RPG games will improve. I also feel like it's unfair to pigeonhole Squenix's style into one derogatory term: "J-Trash." All art is influenced by it's surroundings, and Square Enix is (and always has been) an almost completely Japan-centric company. It's as unfair as calling "Call of Duty" or "Madden" US-Trash, or W-Trash (for Western). EA (and many others) makes Western games, Square Enix makes Eastern games. It's just the way things are for now.

However, when we say "J-trash", we mean those Goddamn otaku's who blatantly stereotype Japan by eating Pocky and reading anime and eating their food with chopsticks and considering themselves Japanese. And Final Fantasy adds a lot to this stereotype in the same way anime or Pocky or any other Japanese pop-culture icon does. Also, Square Enix wasn't responsible for the development of those games, as Wak said. They took over the companies after those games were made.

Final Fantasy is a talented and powerful series. Don't call it "J-trash" because one of it's games is overrated. Don't call it "J-Trash" because said overrated game spawn yaoi/annoying fangirls/etc.
If you ask me, Mario/Donkey Kong/Starfox had more "J-Trash" games in its series/franchise than FF did.
Hate the annoying fanboys. Not the literate fans. Not the series.

Your opinion of what is trash and what isn't is officially null and void.
You like Halo and Turok. (And the Xbox 360! Zing!)

Not necessarily, Halo is as much Aus-Trash as it ********, Halo is Earth Trash.
Turok is Canada-Trash. It's made in British Colombia.
And That's That!

You know what people? Sqaure-Enix is two separate companies. >>; If you really want to technical then it's Square Soft which no longer exists...Square-Enix really never EVER works together. Enix works on their projects and Square works on there projects.
Anyways the only developer I truly hate..is Camelot. Sure Tennis and Soccer were fun for Mario games. But seriously folks enough is enough. Mario Basketball? Wtf? Plus Mario Golf was hella fun..years ago! Enough please..Also no more Mario Party games. If you want to make em, make customize maps and Wi-fi plz thx.
