Sheba was a little taken aback by his assertion, especially since it was not upon the topic she had expected. "Apollogize...?" she repeated, unable to keep the confusion from her voice. She hesitated, stumbling over his words and finding herself ill-preapared in facing them. "But I assumed...I mean..." She paused, lifting a white paw to her chest as she took in a breath to organize her thoughts, "I thought you were angry with me." Well, still angry might be the better phrasing.

"Well I was frusterated..." -The softness in her answers, the lack of force or jumping to defensiveness soothed the god, and slowly his more natural being began to show throw, though his paws still clenched and unclenched out of nervousness.- "It wasn't like I went out with the plan to upset that leopardess. I'd really thought that she'd have lived a happier life had she learned that lions and cheetahs weren't so bad.."

"But when my mistake was thrown back at me, I didn't want to believe I'd screwed up. And it stung to have my abilities to do my duties questioned."

-The words flowed more liquidly now, a soft murmur as the day slowly dimmed around them.- "Of course when I found out you were right I couldn't just be angry at you for pointing out the truth.... right?"

-He paused once more, looking up from the ground finally to try and gauge what the goddess might be feeling, or what she might say.-

Could she really blame him? She had lost her temper too, which was actually something she had been more surprised about then his reaction. When their fight had taken place she hadn't let her anger get the better of her since her childhood. So did she know how he felt? To have one's beliefs shaken so? She did. Their accusations and situations had not been the same...but they had more in common then one would think at first glance. And Sheba had had months to reflect upon what he had said to her when they had clashed.

"No," she murmured slowly dropping her gaze briefly under thoughtful lashes, "...just...as I am no longer angry. It is not easy to hear the truth sometimes. I was not prepared to hear it then either." True, his insults had been more basic and had not been entirely accurate but...their essence, their accusation that she was not living her life properly...well, that was correct. Something wasn't right and she knew it now. She felt it.

-Slowly his plumes began to rise inching so slowly one might not have noticed until they were once again splayed out behind his features. It was entirely subconcious, some part within him seeming to blossom at how much better this seemed to be going then he'd have imagined. All that fretting and worrying before.. and things were sliding out so easily.

Eyes watching as hers now averted, he couldn't help but admire the soft beauty of her vunerability, but being who he was.. and even from their short meetings before he knew it was something she might not find as nice as he did.-

"Well then, since we're both forgiven.." -The words rang out strong, a soft playfulness in them that didn't really fit the seriousness of before. But then how good was he at being serious? He worried that it might make her uncomfortable, but at the same time it soothed his own nerves.

Smile growing across his face with that familar boyish charm he insisted lightly.- "I've had quite a bad month.. months even perhaps. Found it very hard to do what I do. So I've decided that I must make someone happy. Won't stop until I get someone to smile."

"And since we're friends now, I think it should be you." -It wasn't a question really, but he paused nonetheless, tail flicking back and forth.-

"Ahh, well..." her ears flickered back immediately as she tried to force a smile only to get an uncertain, nervous show of teeth instead. She knew he'd force her out of her comfort zone, if only in innocent ways. She was actually rather frigthened by the idea still. "...there...surely are others more in need of your assistance then I?" she asserted half-heartedily.

-One brow raised mildly at her attempt, an obviously playful taunt falling from him as he tsked softly.- "No fake smiles will work Sheba. You should know quite well that I'll know the moment you're truely pleased. So no point trying to escape it."

-Padding forward he braced that distance that he'd left before in caution, coming only a few lengths from the grey speckled goddess before some seriousness touched his face.- "I think you're wrong Sheba. Others might need it to, but you're certainly as deserving as they are. When is the last time you truly smiled? Laughed? Rejoiced and played about?"

"When is the last time you felt your whole being glow with warmth and happiness?"

-Voice picking up a mild singsong he ended simply.- "And .. soo .. you're.. stuck, until you glow."

Sheba winced as he caught her display. She hadn't expected him to fall for it, but she had hoped he'd agree to find someone else...and she wasn't sure why she had wanted it. It was starting to feel like...this was one of those situations where she wanted to go along but she'd feel guilty or like a failure for doing so willingly.

It was exhausting to always repond this way, even if it was pounded into her subconscious. So she sighed, dipping her maw slightly in a sense of acceptance...or perhaps defeat. A few strands of her long hair slid in her face as she murmured honestly, "I don't know where to begin."

-A soft huff of air, a masculine sound of triumph, escaped him as she gave in, and he purred softly.- "That's something for me to worry about, not you."

-Eyes glancing upwards only now seeming to realize that there was in fact a world around them, he gazed towards the stars thoughtfully, before offering mildly.- "It's awfully late though. So if you prefer to rest now I can find you again at a better time?"

-In his mind he debated staying himself, but somehow he knew what that might do. How much more uncomfortable it might make her. This wasn't some test, some thing that was supposed to be difficult for her. It would be slow and persistant. He didn't need to be around her at all moments, just had to find ways to open up the world before her when she was ready.

Curling his tail in and out, he waited softly for her decision, already beginning to try and ponder the sort of things he could try. It always made him so happy when he saw others happy, and already his mood was beginning to perk with the excitement of the task ahead.-

It was late. The time had slipped from her mind and where the setting sun had been now rose glittering stars instead. She had stopped to sleep and her body finally seemed to recall that, for she could feel the weariness in the weight of her limbs. "That...might be wise," she agreed slowly, trying to find the rest of her words. After hesitating for a bit she added, "You may...stay if you like." She tried to tell herself that she was just being polite...but the fact of the matter was that she was tired of being unhappy, of being so worn down. She might not know how to change it, but that didn't mean she didn't have the desire to do so...to some degree.

"Unless, of course, you have others you must attend to," she murmured, this afterthought hurried at first before returning to a normal tempo, "that is far more important."

-Limbuko was mildly surprised by her offer and didn't bother to cover it as he himself debated how weary he was. The offer was pleasant, and he felt no particular tug elsewhere at the moment, so he nodded softly in acceptance.- "It would be more convient to stay then to try and find someplace else to sleep I think." -Besides, the best days began with a good morning and wake up. So perhaps it was best after all.

Glancing about the pool and the surrounding grasses he debated softly where to lay himself, pacing a few steps around. He was more mentally exhausted then physically, but nonetheless it felt nice as his lilac hued body sank into the grass.- "I think a bit of star gazing and a good nights sleep is just what I need."

-He was beginning to relax already, the tension and weight he'd been carrying lately seeming to run off of him like driplets of water. There was hope now instead of dispair, and Lim sighed as he realized this own small change in his own psyche.-

Sheba let out a small breath when he said he'd stay. It was a bit of relief, though she wasn't sure why. She nodded her head and slipped onto her belly, folding her front paws beneath her. She tucked her wings around her body for warmth. Before she set her head down she murmured, "...goodnight." She then lay her head to rest and let her eyes slide shut.
