After letting more slow seconds of silence pass, Mafa craned her neck forward. Her head brushed against his, her muzzle stopping at his perked up ear. Inwardly, she smiled, but outwardly, she was as cold and static as stone. After breathing a light sigh, she spoke in a gruff, but biting whisper,
"I do. Just do that."
Quickly after, Mafa jerked her head away, moving away from Tukutu completely. She returned to her pacing, now circling about the spot he had repositioned himself to. She could tell that he was a smidge shaken from what she'd said before, but about what, she wasn't exactly about to pin-point.
Mafa was starting to calm down slightly, feeling as she was getting the upper hand in the situation. Whether it was true or not, there wasn't an obvious sign, but Mafa had it down that she was. She slowly wound down her pacing on her own, regaining her composure bit by bit as time wore on. For a second, she stopped completely when she'd circled around Tuk's back. She took this second to look him over, giving the male a look of reverence that lasted mere moments before she started moving onward again. She was sure he hadn't seen it, at least she hoped he hadn't, but it was all she was willing to offer for now.

Tukutu grumbled as Mafa seemed to slip away from whatever she was in back to her normal dominating self. Ugh, so much for that. He rolled his eyes when she had begun to pace around him again. What, was it supposed to unnerve him? He had actually started to get used to it, and it moreso bothered him that she couldn't sit still than anything.
SHe had stopped right behind him. Why? He had written out the fact that she would do anything physical towards him, since the previous actions of the earlier moments had proved otherwise. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't do it now. Mafa was anything but consistant, to him.
"Well, ah'll just say now that' ah'll stick 'round here, 'kay?" He was sure that he wouldn't get more than a grunt out of her, but hey, if it made her stop walking around so much, then he would mark that as a success. "Cuz 'm so sure ya want me 'round more, now," he said, teasing her.

Elegantly as a hyena could, Mafa prowled to face Tukutu once more. She titled her head up in a knowing gesture. Mafa enjoyed having this position, the position of keeping Tukutu guessing, not letting him have the satisfaction of letting him know what she was going to do next. Enigma. That was her word for the day.
Mafa scowled as the male spoke, not at all appreciating the more up-beat tone that lightly circled about his words. She just barely made a motion of tossing her head, mocking Tuk in a way. He thought he was so sure, huh? She didn't like that, not one bit. But only because it was what indeed what she wanted, to have him around.
"Just think about what I said, and yes, you sure as hell better stick around. Don't skip out, I'll have all my eyes on you."
The last part of that was more of an order, as Mafa barked it out loudly. She was just about done with this, the rest was up to him. She'd have those trying to suck up to her keep an eye on him, maybe this way, she'd know what to do. Maybe she'd be less confused.
Before turning around, Mafa tossed her chin up, an upward nod in goodbye. For just a nanosecond, Mafa smiled... Or perhaps it was a snarl, but this ambiguous way was just part of Mafa's usual actions. After offering that, Mafa gave Tukutu one last glance and then turned, slowly loping back the way she had come. She'd return to her den later, much later, after she was sure he was gone.

Tukutu's ear twitched as he watched Mafa slowly snarl away, the female acting as a pack alpha should. Or, well, as much as Tukutu thought that they should. Well, she didn't seem to want to hang around here, which meant that his whole reasoning of hanging around here had disappeared as soon as she walked away.
He took another moment to look around, still noticing that there was no one else around. And with that, he rolled his eyes. "Hoi, ah dunno if ah'll e'er say what ah wanna say," he mumbled to himself, kicking up a bit of dust just for the hell of it, to take a moment to watch it settle back down on the ground. Such a dirty place, but it was home to him. To a lot of hyena.
With a mental kick, he decided that it was probably time for him to head out of here and find his own place to crash for a while. He had been gone for so long that his own skull home had been taken over by another hyena, and being the normal Tuk, he didn't bother trying to get it back. He'd just find himself another place that he'd consider his own spot.
And with a swish of his tail, he walked the opposite way that Mafa had gone, searching for this elusive slot to where he could think, and nap.
