Seeing the energy Shiori seemed to have to expend just to keep her two girls in line, Orion was somewhat thankful that Eirwyn couldn't run too fast, yet...or argue. Setting Eirwyn back on the ground, he kept one of the infant's tiny hands in his own, and made to move on with the three ladies.
Content to be back down on the ground--and additionally, moving on--Eirwyn peered curiously at Kisala, somewhat envious of both her freedom of movement and her ability to be understood by the grown ups. Whatever this 'dragon' thing was that she and her mother were talking about, he wanted to see it, too. Tugging impatiently at Orion's hand, he wished, again, that he could form the words that he heard spoken so often.
Shaking his head, Orion shrugged. "No, this is our first time, also--I haven't had Eirwyn long, and the zoo isn't a place I ever really had much of an interest in, before." he said, wondering idly what types of dragons she was familiar with.

She was just starting to wonder how they'd keep a dragon locked up in a place like this-- it was very open, and none of the other animals seemed to be chained up in any way-- when he spoke again, "Ahh. I did not know of it, or I might have come-- if only to see how different the animals of this world are from those in my own."
She had a natural desire to learn, and this transfer to a new world had been almost a blessing in that. In fact, so had Kisala and Ajiiel's arrivals, come to think of it. She certainly knew a lot more about children and things related to them than she had before.
Kisala fell back from the stroller, aiming for Eirwyn's side and took the boys other hand, "Oooh, let's swing him!" she said to Orion, perfectly comfortable with strangers in a way that her mother never would be, "Like, hold his arms and swing him up a little! The monks did that to me sometimes when I was little and it was really fun!"

Nodding, Orion could understand that, at least--although in his own case, at least...the animals didn't seem all that different from those that had existed on his home world--they had different names, sometimes, but he'd been on gaia long enough that they were somewhat familiar, at least. He did wonder, however, just what sort of world the young woman had come from.
Silence lapsed for a moment, before being broken by Kisala--he hadn't even noticed her taking Eirwyn's hand, and so took a moment to respond.
"Okay." Never having really been played with much, by his own parents, it wasn't something he'd have even thought of attempting--however, Eirwyn didn't seem to mind the girl's having taken his hand, and so he couldn't see the harm in swinging him, at least once.
Intrigued by all the new sights and sounds, Eirwyn was, for once, suitably distracted as to not be outright cranky...at least, for now. When Kisala took his other hand, speaking to his guardian, he peered over at her curiously, as if not quite sure what she was up to--he'd had very limited contact with anyone aside from Orion to-date, after all.
When the two lifted him up, swinging him first forward, then back, Eirwyn's eyes widened in surprise, and he picked his legs up reflexively, toes curling in delight as the wind rushed through his hair-this was something entirely new! Looking up at first Kisala, then Orion, he flashed them a genuine, if fleeting, smile, a pleased giggle escaping him.

Shiori watched the little girl carefully as she grabbed Eirwyn's hand, then smiled. She remembered seeing some of the older monks do that to Kisala when she was littler-- she was too big for it now, though Shiori suspected some of the larger monks could still pick her up.
Kisala beamed at the little boy, "S'fun, no?"

Eirwyn kept his feet lifted, unwilling to end the game so soon. Looking back at Kisala, he nodded, refraining from wriggling--barely. "Fun, yeh!"
Still dangling, he pulled his feet up in front of his body, further trying to encourage Orion and Kisala to swing him again.
Orion shook his head, even the usually crusty adult finding it hard not to grin. When Eirwyn answered, his syllables downright understandable, he had to struggle to not have his jaw drop--perhaps there was hope of the guessing game they played when Eirwyn wanted something coming to an end sometime soon? This frivolous, pointless play was something that Orion was relatively unfamiliar with--growing up, he could still remember envying the sight of other children, who were allowed to run around and play freely, while his own parents had shipped him off to begin learning at a nearby temple almost as soon as his abilities had begun to manifest.
Looking to Kisala, too, he waited to see if she wanted to swing Eirwyn again, or if the youngster wasn't perhaps a little too heavy.

He was a -little- heavy after all. Gently, the girl grabbed Eirwyn's hand with her other hand too and lifted again, for one more swing, then giggled, "Okay, I don't think I can do it again, though."
Kisala grinned, though, when she saw the gift store up ahead, "Ooooo! Lets look at the stuffed animals!"
