I adore RENT.
But really guys...It isn't the end of the world. Just because its off of broadway doesn't mean it won't be on tour. Or back for that matter.
Nothing stays on broadway forever. It was only a matter of time before it was taken off. Like some of you have said, I think a break for it will be good. It needs that. Then it'll come back and be bigger then ever!

OMG, new update! Ok, so the tour is continuing, that's only part of the great news. Anthony and Adam will be joining the tour in Januar 2009!!!! I feel so much better now that I know that!

It ran it's time. It needs to be retired for at least a couple years.
Undoubtedly, it will make a comeback and people will flock to see it again because it will seem like it's not just "always gonna be there".
I do have to say that Broadway won't be the same when I walk past the Nederlander and some unfamiliar show is there...

sung_me even though it is closing on broadway, it could still be on tour, and the closing does NOT have to be permanent. Chicago closed for five years, before opening again, so there's hope, but nevertheless, i am still very sad crying
yeah, i'm sure it'll be on again! n___n
