He regards his older brother as a sort of father/mentor figure. having experienced living with no parents or any other older person than Raul. He wields the second Holy Weapon of legend, "Dusk", crafted supposedly from the bones of Lucifer's angel wings, which were discarded when the demon was thrown out of Heaven.

Faction: U.E.A.
Background: Prince of Transylvania, Czeller had been groomed in the Dark Arts by his late father's courtesans as part of the Transylvanian king's dying wishes. Though the boy showed signs that he indeed do not want any part in the Occult practices that Transylvanian kingdom are famed for, he studied day and night just in the purpose of honoring his father's request, whom he loved the most. Having no interest in running the kingdom and being too young for the throne, he left the management of the estates to his father's Regents, whom all made an alliance with the European Armada in exchange for large sums of money...which of course Czeller has no clue, the king not wanting anything to do with his cousin Lyander III's conquests.

Background: No information about his past or where he came from. No hometown, no address of his current home...nothing. It was as if this youth just suddenly popped out from underneath the earth...which supposedly where he really came from. His extreme talents in the Occult and his excessively violent and sadistic nature led others to believe that he is a hellspawn in disguise, here on Earth to wreak havoc upon the lands.

Name: Haren "Rock" Ursulav

Background: Growing up in the Tibetan mountains where his parents fled to seek shelter in the famously neutral Buddhist monasteries of Tibet, Haren grew up mastering the lethal arts of hand-to-hand combat, despising the use of any other weapon other than his gigantic gauntlets that he aptly named after his late father (died on the way to the monastery), "Devon". When the Xi'an warriors, an elite Chinese assault squad, stormed the Tibetan monasteries with accusations of harboring and housing enemy European spies, Haren's mother was killed trying to protect the then 13 year old Haren. Along with another orphan, a Chinese boy named Jin, they watched the flames consume the Tibetan monasteries they had called home, with Haren contemplating revenge as they stood as audiences to the slaughter. Haren then, leaving Jin to himself, left for Russian soil, where he then spent the rest of his life training to be the best mercenary that the U.E.A. can pay for.

Background: A stripper working in Basin City's world-famous King's Bar where the sexiest, most beautiful and most buxom women are all recurited to entertain the rich citizens of Upper Basin. Laura was the half-breed child of a Japanese stripper/prostitute and her American client. The child grew up without no father and a drunken, drug-ladened mother. Thus, having no great role models, Laura followed her mother's footsteps, using her legendary exotic beauty and graceful moves to entertain Basin's richest gentlemen and high-ranking officers of the Neo-American Army. Some say though that she really is a spy for the Eastern faction.......

Background: Fellow stripper and close friend of Laura Weston, she spent her whole lifetime outside Basin City, living in an abandoned farm with her foreign mother and Neo-American soldier-turned-fugitive father. Growing up with practically no friends since they live out in a place no other people are in, Roxanne craved attention from ANYONE. Thus it explains why she does not mind being the sexual fantasy and object of every man's erotic desire when she became a full-fledged dancer at King's Bar. In fact, she basked on the disgusting attention that the men gave her. But what she really longed for was a decent man to love her...something only known to Laura, her best friend.

Background: The b*****d lovechild of the late German Count, Dragusta and his Transylvanian mistress, he was taken in by his grandparents in Germany, excelling in the Art of Fencing and swordplay. He grew up in a boarding school in Berlin, wherein he became the master of both the piano and the rapier. None can match his skills on both things, and when the U.E.A. recruitment officers reached Berlin they immediately sought the boy and beg him to join the Armada, wherein Kalintze swiftly rose to the rank of Lord Marshal of Her Majesty's Dragoons, an elite squad of fencers in the whole Europe. He has a half sister that he does not know about...in fact no one knows he does have a sister.

Background: A German orphan, she grew up in a monastery, raised by nuns since she was a mere baby, abandoned at the footsteps of the church with a note that says, "Please take care of my Cassandra..." She was then given the name Cassandra Lynne Devonne, after the head nun's dead younger sister who supposedly looks exactly like Cassandra. What the sisters do not know about the girl is that she was really the daughter of a German count who died in battle, her mother a follower of the Dark Arts. Cassandra then grew up in a very religious atmosphere, and when she was 13, got sent to Berlin to be in a boarding school wherein she had a very steady relationship with a boy named Kalintze............

Background: An orphan of a travelling Chinese acrobat couple, Jin was sent to the Tibetan monasteries after his parents were convicted of spreading anti-war propaganda in Oolong, China. Jin, with the guidance of the Buddhist monks, became a devout follower of the teachings of Buddha. There he also mastered the use of the Bo, the stick weapon preferred by the non-violent monks of Tibet. Three days after Jin's 13th birthday the Xi'an warriors of China sacked the monasteries and along with Haren, the Russian orphan he grew up and became close friends with, were left homeless in the aftermath. The two childhood friends then took separate ways, Haren heading for his Russian homeland and Jin seeking shelter in a nearby city of Prichati in India. There he currently runs a Buddhist temple and refugee camp, wherein he helps children like him who were orphaned by the Wars.

Background: A street urchin growing up in the streets of Lower Basin, he is not a stranger to violence and bloodshed. "We grow 'em tough down here yo!", is what he will probably tell you if asked how his childhood was, and in fact he did have a tough upbringing, the son of an out of work retired mercenary and a hooker. Sion never knew how it was to live the easy life, so he made the promise to himself that one day he will indeed make it "big". And he did so...by selling drugs and guns, thus buying his way into the gates of Upper Basin. Need anything to protect yourself with? Just ask him...he'll gladly entertain your needs.

Background: An orphan who is currently in the care of Romee the Boulder, she is of an unknown past, left in the Lower Basin Orphanage when she was only 18 months old. There, Romee took it upon himself to raise the child, with Maya eventually growing to view Romee as a father/older sibling figure. When Romee finally decided to leave the orphanage and look for his biological parents, Maya wouldn't let Romee leave her alone, thus ending up tagging along with the big man in his search of his roots.

Name: Trystan "Archangel" Bertusso

Background: The reigning leader of the Holy Order, Trystan is probably the last of the original Paladins that served Rome before the Vatican's destruction at the hands of the invading Neo-America. After a hopeless battle in defending the last Catholic bastion in the world, Trystan became a vagabond after suffering a great loss at the hands of the technologically superior might of the Neo-American Army. He then instead formed the Holy Order after a few years, gathering the surviving Knights of Rome and also picking up a couple of promising students such as the Sverige brothers along the way. The group aimed to rid the world of evil that has plagued the lands for countless of years, but the main purpose was that Trystan was hunting for the monster that caused him to abandon his post in defeat during the Siege of Rome...the one wielding the evil weapon Meiringan...

He wields the weapon, "Thunderclap", supposedly coated with the tears of a thousand angels, one of the 4 weapons of legend.

Name: Helena Ruffina Kylrathia
Age: 23

Background: Raul's former lover and general of the Holy Order, Helena abandoned the position of Paladin when Raul decided to leave her as the Sverige brothers started their aimless wandering throughout Europe. Nothing much is known about the beautiful but deadly woman, the daughter of refugee farmers that fled Romania during the Wars to seek refuge in Rome. Sending Helena to the Vatican to become an abess, she instead took up the sword, becoming a Knight of Rome at the age of 17, a half year before Neo-America leveled the holy church that Helena swore to protect with her life.

She carries the 4th and last legendary weapon, "Mikhail" after the Hebrew name of the Archangel Michael, the blade apparently made from a metal ore found from the tomb of Jesus.

Name: Alexander Whitefield
Age: 48
Ethnicity: British
Faction: U.E.A.
Background: Legislative Magistrate of the United European Armada and also the Defense Minister, every successful tactical maneuver that the UEA have pulled in the battlefield are all due to this brilliant strategist and battle general. Whitefield's story is the clasic rags-to-riches tale of success, the man starting from a mere foot soldier who quickly rose through the ranks as he exhibited more and more of his superior tactician capabilities. There was no battle that he was involved in that was a failure, thus this nobleman is quite what the UEA needs in their ranks. Apparently, there are rumors that he was the one that proposed to create a temporary truce between the 3 continents. But what was shady about it was that Whitefield was never known to call for a truce in the battlefield or any form of respite, they say that the treaty is just a mask for his real intentions...
