[RP continued through msn....]

Eridanus smiled slightly as she seemed to cheer up at the change of subject. "Ahh, boredom.... Sadly, it's been my only friend lately!" He chuckled slightly, kinda wishing he was lying. But truth be told, he could only run for so long alone before he got very bored.

"So... if you're bored... And not busy... you wouldn't mind walking with me for a while? I could do with some conversation." He said, honestly.

Analae just smiled. "We have the same friend! How ironic." She added, laughing a bit once more.
His offer on the walk,... sounded, quite good. Company,... of a good Stallion, was something she'd love, at the moment. "I'd love to,.." She said softly, nodding her head once.

Eridanus couldn't help but grin slightly. "Wonderful! Urm.... where shall we wander to?" He laughed sheepishly. Perhaps he should have waited to ask and actually planned a direction at least first. However, any way was good for him, so maybe she had a preference. If not, following the wind was good enough.

She pondered for a moment... looking this way, and that. "...Whichever way the wind next breezes,.." And just in time for that breeze to whisp by, brushing her mane to the east.
"And apparently, we go that way." She said with a smile, moving to nose his cheek once in the direction the wind had chosen for them.

Smiling, he nodded in agreeance as his mane fell over his shoulders by persuasion of the wind. "East it is..." He headed in said direction, looking at her. He was trying to take in all of her markers without staring and making her uncomfortable. She was very much opposite to him, but that only intrigued him more.

"So, where are you from....? Is your home far from here...?"

"Hmmn.." Where to start?
"I grew up pretty much hidden in the forests with my parents and brother. From here.. I'm not sure how near or far it is from here... I have not been there in a while, to remember exactly. I left home almost as soon as I matured into an adult.. looking for.. adventure.. and fun, out of the polite and secluded life of my family. I still see them from time to time, but... I still have not left home with them."

Eridanus listened with interest.

"It seems we started off life in a pretty similar way..." He nodded slightly. "Adventure, hmm? And have you found it...?" He looked at her again, not quite realising his question could be consider cheeky or maybe even flirty. He was a niave in that way.

Analae blinked at his comment. "...Well, I've found adventure... as in... being literally claimed by a Kalona that could kill me whenever he wants..." She barely payed heed to her words. She was.. more distracted by the fact that, yes, to her, his question Did sound flirty.

Eridanus almost stopped in his tracks. "Claimed?! As in.... wait... what?" He quickened his step til he caught up with her again, clearly dumfounded by the idea that anyone could 'own' anyone else. Then again, he had only heard of Kalonas, and they didn't sound too great.

Analae sighed. Might as well explain. "This a**,.. named Aveshar... He believes he can make himself a little harem of pets... Well, to him, I'm one of his little Dolls..." Her tone turned soft... and, almost sad. "..I only wish I could ge away from him, but he always seems to find me whenever I try to keep away from him."

Eridanus couldn't help but frown. "That's.... that's ridiculous! I know we've just met, but I hope you won't mind me saying you are in no way anyone's 'doll'!" He snorted a little, and then shook his head. "Sorry... I just... that sounds so crazy. Especially since you clearly want nothing to do with him..."

Analae sighed once more. "I like no more being considered his Doll than you like to hear me as Being his doll. And you're right. I want nothing to do with him. He can die a very painful death, and I wouldn't care at all." It sounded harsh, but if you where a mare, with a stallion around that could kill you on a whim, while getting into your head, about how... you don't have a Stallion to call your own, and you're alone in the world... Youd be pretty harsh too.

Eridanus sighed also. He had never heard of such a horrible thing happening to anyone, and he couldn't help but be slightly shocked.

"Well... for what it's worth... I in no way see you as a doll or anything else to be owned. So at least you know that while you're with me, I think of you only as a mare who was kind enough to take a walk with me and trust me to talk to me..."

She breathed a short, half-hearted laugh. "Thankyou, Eridanus... It's good to know there are actually some Stallions out there with a Heart, Mind, and Soul, to spend one's time with." She sighed, seeming to now droop a bit.

He looked at her again with a small smile. "Thank you... I do try..." He chuckled a little before noticing she seemed a little disheartened.

"On to a lighter subject... we needed give that monster any of the attention he deserves, whether he's here or not!" Eridanus puffed his chest out a little, feeling slightly protective all of a sudden. "A mare like you should certainly not feel sad on such a beautiful day..."

Again, a smile slipped onto her lips. It was weak, but it was there, nad would grow, if fed correctly. "And a Stallion such as yourself should not be worried by those of mine." She added. This Stallion,... she'd remember. She knew she would. Because he was the one stallion that hadn't treated her like utter s**t in.. a long while. Bar her father and brother.

He smiled egged him on somewhat on his happiness-rant.

"Nonsense! Every stallion should worry about the smile of a mare! You should always have reason to smile, because you will inspire a smile in someone else!"

Feeling a bit silly, he gave her a large grin. He truly did believe she was too pretty to be sad.

Analae couldn't help but to giggle. "And yet, not all Stallions do." She said, giggling a bit more... almost, childishly.

"You know, Eridanus... You've done a much better job at lightening my mood than anything before you." She said. To some, that wouldn't stand as a big accomplishment, though she had a feeling, that to this Stallion, it would be a good little comment to... Comment, on.

Still with a slightly silly grin, Eridanus couldn't help but feel a little bit proud of himself for turning his somewhat disasterous start with this mare into cheering her up.

"Really? Wow! I'm very glad to hear that! And hopefully your smile will continue for the rest of the day, at least!"

Eridanus noticed that they had accidentally wandered into a forest. He wondered how he could have possibly missed entering all these trees. And more so, how he had avoided embarassing crashing into one as he tried to cheer Analae up.

She grinned softly. "Well, if I'm with you all day, my smile is guarenteed to stay,.." She said, before glancing around at the trees. "..Seems the wind decided to lead us where the monsters lurk.."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 14, 2008 4:25 pm

Eridanus nearly met face-first with a tree at her comment. Although he did try to be good company, it was wonderful to hear he was actually managing!

He looked around. "No monsters here.... Not that can be seen anyway, and hopefully not in the light of day..." instinctively, he moved a little closer to her, wanting to reassure her that no harm would come to her when she was with him.

"If you like, we can turn back though...?" He looked at her, his eyes softening along with his smile.

And this is where the Flirty side of Analae comes out of it's shell.

"Well, if staying in the forest means, staying like this... Then,.. Staying in the forest is good." She smirked over at him, looking at the Stallion with Half-lidded eyes. As they walked, she bumped her hip against his, mentally snickering softly.

Eridanus felt his cheeks warm slightly. "Er... I just... well, I want you to feel safe, of course.... Not that I don't think you can take of yourself... just... well..." A gentle bump to his hip sent a tingle down his spine. In this damp forest, his hip now felt like it was on fire and he looked around sheepishly before looking at her.

"Er.... so... urm... where to now...?"

Analae snickered softly. "Stop rambling,... it gets annoying. And I don't want to be annoyed at 'you',..." she watched him, eyes still half lidded as she watched him for reactions

Eridanus raised an eyebrow curiously. "Rambling? Well, you are doing your best to give me reason to be a bit... ditsracted!" he noted, unable to take his eyes of hers for the time being.

She watched him, listening to him, her ear flicking. "Oh, so I'm distracting? I hope that's a good thing." She said coolly, eyeing the Stallion closely, her silver eyes seeming oddly sharp, and somehow soft, at the same time.

He couldn't help a small smile crossing his lips. "Well.... if it were a bad thing, I would have asked you to stop, no....?" He chucled a little. She was playing games with him, but he couldn't deny he was thoroughly enjoying it.

Light poured over them as they entered a clearing with a small pool. Somewhat of a hidden gem in this forest. Eridanus barely noticed it as he tried to keep Analae's gaze.

Analae just grinned, quiet now, just watching him with the same half-lidded gaze as she had for moments now.

Apparently, she was the first to tare her gaze away to stare at the small pool of water.
"I.. never knew this was here." She mumbled.

Eridanus kept his gaze on her for a few moments before her words woke him. He shook his head a little before looking around. "Whoa! Where did this come from?! What a change to that dark dingy forest!" He smiled a little. It certainly was. Sunshine streaming in through the gap on the trees and flooded this place with light. Without hestation, Eridanus trotted over to the pool and put his head down to drink. When he was done, he looked at Analae a little sheepishly. "Urm... kinda realised how thirsty I was..." He laughed.

She couldn't help but to laugh, slowly moving over to the water. "Don't worry." She said fairly plainly, dipping her head down to the water, to let herself also get a drink. After getting her full, she paused, noticing that her mane had mostly dipped down, yet oddly, none into the water. She blinked once, fairly cutely as well... before shaking her head, to look over at Eridanus, with.. such an innocent litlte smile.

Eridanus watched her walk over beside him and took another quick drink as she did before standing upright. He watched their reflections in the rippling surface before noticing her shaking her head. He looked at her in time to catch a sweet little smile that gave him a strange fluttery feeling in his stomach. This mare certainly knew how to get a reaction out of him.

So.... we've quenched our thirst.... what next?" He raised an eyebrow again.

Analae shrugged, the smile still there, however weaker. "Uh.. Good question. I don't know. Wander around more? See how horribly lost we can get outselves in the woods?" Though she was just joking, she purposly sounded serious, as she moved forward a bit, letting her hoof dip into the water a bit, and soak the fur that hung.

Eridanus laughed a little. "Purposely get lost? Why Analae, if I didn't know better, I'd think you were trying to lure me into something somewhat sinister!" He laughed more. He was partially kidding. He watched her dip her hoof into the water before doing the same. The cool water felt wonderful. Without a second thought, he trotted right in.

Analae blinked once. "Me? Sinister? I am no where like the b*****d Kalonas that would decieve you so..." Now, the reverse. She purposly sounded like she was lieing,.. though, she wasn't. Not totally, anyway.
She laughed a bit as he went in the water, quickly moving to fallow him in. The water felt good, even though it was quite cold.

Eridanus flicking his now half wet mane back out of his face, grinning slightly. "I never said you were sinister....! I said you might have plans for the darkness!" He laughed. He had never been so forward before in his innuendo! But he knew she wouldn't take it too badly. Or rather, he hoped.

He watched her follow him in for a moment before grinning again and dipping his head into the water, making sure he was completely covered before pulling his head back up. "Ahhh, so a dip was a good idea then?"

Analae rolled her eyes. "No, but you said I'd do something sinister," She said before he went under. She just went further into the water,... though she shivered once,.. trying to hide it. Course, that was never something she was good at hiding. "Yes.." She shivered once more, again trying to hide it with a shift in the water.

He looked at her and noticed her coat shimmer slightly with an unmistable shiver. He grinned a little. "Cold?" He moved smoothly over beside her and brushed against her. "Perhaps I should escort you back to the sunshine...?"

Analae blushed slightly. "...Only a little. It's alright. Nothing wrong with a cold dip..." She mumbled, trying not to shiver,.. which was difficult. She had a short coat,.. staying warm was never very easy for the mare.

Eridanus smiled at her, a softer smile that his somewhat teasing grin before. "I'm sorry, I didn't realise you'd be cold... I've grown up with a nocturnal family so I'm used to cold night, so this doesn't really bother me..." He gave her a slightly playful nudge.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 15, 2008 2:52 pm

Analae sighed. "I should be used to the cold... Since I'm usually one also to be up durring the night, when 'they',... the cold blooded beasts lurk." She said fairly plainly, before giggling softly at the nudge, nudging him right back

Eridanus has to surpress a sudden urge to give her a reassuring nuzzle when she meantion those monsters again. He was happy to hear laughter from her though.
"Well... let's not freeze you anymore..." He smiled before heading out of the pool and giving himself a thorough shake.

Analae smiled softly. She wasn't going to get out until he did, so it was nice that he decided to so quickly. She followed him out, laughing softly as he shook out his coat. "Rain shower!" she mimicked the motion, shaking the water out of her coat, causing it to go a little poofy,.. very animated the girl was at times.

Eridanus couldn't stifle his laughter when he noticed they book looked rather fluffy after all that. "Oh great, we look like teenagers again with coats like this!" He attempted to smooth down some of his coat, but to no avail. He stuck his tongue out. "Bah.... guess we're stuck with it. At least we look silly together..."

Analae grinned softly,... a funny little look in her eyes, as she slowly trotted over to Eridanus, nosing his coat down slowly, nuzzling some of the more stubborn parts, getting the fur to go down still, watching him, out of the corner of her eye.

Eridanus froze on the spot. Sure, they had been nudging and bumping each other like foals with a crush, but this was just.... cruel! Each time her nose brushed his coat, he felt that spot tingle even after she had stop and a very noticable shiver ran down his body. He hoped she would just think he was cold, but the unmistakable glowing pink heart on his cheek was about to give him away as always....

Analae barely even had to look at him. "You're blushing, bub..." She said lowly,... a much less innocent tone to her voice. She nuzzled his coat down still, moving so she could look at him better now,.. grinning softly, almost mischeiviously.

Damn. She noticed. But to be fair, his mother could probably tell her was blushing from here, his cheeks felt that warm. His heart fluttered a little as he noticed her giving her what could only be described as an almost evil grin.

"Yeah... you got me.... but geez.... This was.... unexpected..." He said, his eyes half closed as he watched her trace her nose across his coat.

"Expect the unnexpected.." She quoted, her grin fading as she trailed her nose over his coat, until his fur was down once again.. though, even then, she didn't move from her spot, nuzzling a random spot, looking over at him, her eyes... seemingly dark, despite the fact that they where almost white.

Eridanus watched her again, he eyes still half-lidded. "And what should I expect from this, Analae....?" He spoke softly. He was sure she was just doing it for teasing's sake now as his coat felt very smooth. And very tingly.

"Hmn... I don't know. What do you think you should expect, from this, Eridanus?" She slowly stepped up beside him, letting her coat brush against his, her eyes watching him with the same, hazy look from just moments before.

He felt another shiver run along his side as she did. "I'm not sure... I can't say I've been in this situation before..." He practically purred the words. His head was was in disarray with feelings and sensations, all because of her. And yet, she had to do so little to have this effect on him.

Analae eyed the male for a moment, before moving to press her nose against his neck softly. "Strangely..." She paused, to nuzzle him once softly. "Neither have I." she added finally.

He almost couldn't believe that. How could a mare like this never....? Bah. Damn Kalonas....

"Well.... then this is... interesting, isn't it....?" He turned slightly to look at his and found his nose mere inches from hers. This was so unlike him. And yet, he was just running with it.

"...It is. Very,..." She said, her voice softer now. She moved her gaze to stare back into his for a moment,... just.. Staring,... Silently. Their eyes Did almost match. It left a little smile on her lips, at the thought.

He scanned her eyes, looking to see what she was going to do to him next... She seemed to be looking at him for the same answer. He smled and nudged her nose with his, just for a second. "So... where to from here.....?"

She smiled, a bit wider now. "I have..." Again, she paused, to just nuzzle him back, closing her eyes finally. "..no idea." She finally let out.

Eridanus had a smile that was unmistakable. Analae certainly had quite an effect on him for a first meeting. He managed, with a little willpower, to look away from her and up at the sky. The unmistakeable pinks and oranges that preceeded the night were starting to show in the sky. "Perhaps... we should get out of this forest before it gets dark....?" He looked back down at her, his nose still very close to hers.

"If you think it'd be in our best interest... Lead the way." She smiles, nuzzling him once again, before motioning off to the way they came with her head, her tail flicking once, mane falling slightly over her face, though she ignored it.

Eridanus almost bit his lip. Did she plan these things?! With a slight sigh, he turned and headed the way they had come in, making sure she was alongside him. "This certainly was an unexpected day.... but a good one..." He smiled at her. He still wasn't sure how, or if, to end it.

She smiled back, 'almost' innocently. "Much better than my days prior..." She mumbled,... moving up close to him. "..If only all my days could be so good.." Analae sighed a little.

He gave her a slight nudge, almost as if trying to lift her head higher. "You should always have good days, Analae.... You don't deserve anything else. Except maybe great days."

The mare looked over at him. "I should? Too bad the chances of that are slim with 'him' around." She sighed, looking away.

Eridanus almost snorted at the mention of him. "Ugh. I haven't even met him, and just the mention of that monster angers me! I know we've just met, but if you ever need me... I may not be able to help much, but I will help all I can." To hell with it. She needed his help with this Kalona. He gave her a reassuring nuzzle.

She nuzzled him back, though it was only halfheartedly. "..Thank you,.. Really, Eridanus, But I really... don't, want to see you get killed. My mother doesn't lie when she says that it is in a Kalona's nature to 'not' be gentle.." She said, looking at the ground.

He frowned. Sadly, he knew she was right. Kalonas were known for their savage ways. And he didn't kid himself that he was an experienced fighter. As they exited the forest, he stopped and stood in front of her, leaning his head down slightly to look into her eyes. "I know... but if I can help, in any way... I will..."

She blinked, looking up at him now. "...Again.. Thank You... Eridanus..." She nuzzled him softly, before moving forward a bit, to nuzzle her nose under his chin, and slightly along his neck. Figured... So much comfort, durring the day... only for her to have to return to wandering alone.
Oh joy.

He blinked a few times before smiling and returning the affection, letting his head rest on hers slightly. "I didn't expect to find someone like you today... but I did... and I don't want to see you get hurt, or even be sad...." He closed his eyes with a sigh. His mind was working to try and figure a way to keep her safe. The sky was splashed with vivid reds and oranges as the sun slowly settled on the horizon. He looked at it for a moment with a frown before resting his head back on hers. "What if... we just keep wandering... right through the night... That way, neither of us will be alone..." His almost whispered his words.

Her frown faded, into a soft smile.. softest so far, but it still held something.
"I'd.. like that, Eridanus. I'd like that a lot." She nuzzled him for another moment, before just resting her head against him.
"Oh.. and, as corny as this may sound.. I didn't expect to find someone like you 'ever'... not with how my luck has been lately.."

A smile worked it's way across his lips and he moved a little closer to her. "Good.... I'd like that, too... I may be practically nocturnal, but the stars are better appreciated with someone else..."

He just stood there with her, her words making him smile even more. "You deserve happiness... Trust me..."

"Do I really? I'm not exactly the nicest mare... I've made others upset in the past.. why should -I- be happy?" She looked at him for a moment, before her gaze shifted to the skies.

"Well... you've made me happy... And you've been nice, if a little cheeky, to me..." He chuckled, looking up at the darkening sky with her. "We can't get on with everyone we met. And sometimes, it leads to us upsetting others.... But it doesn't mean you're a bad Soquili.... You could have quite easily ignored me today. But you didn't. That says something, to me anyway..."

Analae just smiled,... wider now,.. a true smile, as well. She didn't say a word... just nuzzled him, closign her eyes once again. He was warm..

She still felt a chill from the water, and the cold night air. Gave her more the reason to get closer to him, and nuzzle him for his warmth.

Eridanus was still smiling, and even moreso when she moved closer. He nudged her neck gently. "So... to wander, or to sleep....? You're choice, ma'am..."

"Wander now... and let sleep come on it's own." Her words came out slowly, calmly... at the moment, she was much more focused on nuzzling him, and being close to him,...
Close to a Stallion. The closest she'd gotten to a Stallion was... well, with her father or brother, and that was in a family sense.
Or,.. him.
Though that was not a 'closeness' she liked.

He nodded slightly. They would stop when they were tired... And for now, he was happy just being with her. This feeling was new, but he very much liked it. "Ok.... let's walk.... you can stay as close as you like, of course..." He smiled softly at her. He was happy. Happy that she was calm, even though the night was now fully upon them. She always spoke of night with such... anger, and maybe fear. But not tonight. He would stay with her.

She grinned a little. "Which, you know, will be very close..." She looked sideways at him, beginning to walk along side him,.. swaying her hips a bit, purposly, to bump his rump softly. She nosed his cheek once, keeping herself close to him, without making it hard to walk.

Eridanus couldn't help but grin. Her softness had been replaced by her flirtatiousness again. But he could hardly complain! He gave her a playful nudge and grinned again. "You're something else, Analae...."
PostPosted: Tue Jan 15, 2008 4:19 pm

"And you love it..." She snickered, looking at him.
She felt good now... Happy. A mood she hadn't had truely about her for a while now. If she wasn't with the Kalona,.. her family was usually near, pissing her off. Or she was bored to all heck, which did her no good, really. No happiness..
But now she had that happiness.
Who would of thought that a Stallion she met only in one night could make her feel so good.
She knew now that her parents weren't just fibbing when they said that 'love at first sight', was possible.

He laughed a loud, genuine laugh. "That's not the point!" He flicked his forelock back out of his eyes and smiled at her. One chance meeting had led to this. He could hardly believe his luck. He looked up at the stars with a soft smile and noted all his favourite constellations, as he knew his family were doing right now. If only they could see him now...

She laughed back. "But it's true!" Her laugh sweetened to a giggle, as she nudged him once again, before following his gaze to the stars above.... Maybe there WAS a god, or Gods up there, that had decided that she deserved better.

He looked back down at her, her pale coat glistening slightly. He practically merged in with the night, with only the silvers in his mane and markings, and his eyes lighting up. "Yeah... Very true... And I don't mind admitting it one bit!"

He looked back down at her, her pale coat glistening slightly. He practically merged in with the night, with only the silvers in his mane and markings, and his eyes lighting up. "Yeah... Very true... And I don't mind admitting it one bit!"

He caught her eyes with his, his smiled fading slightly but not a frown. Just to a very small smile. Love. It was something he had never even considered before. But with this mare, it just.... it clicked. They clicked. And he felt so comfortable with her.

"Love... works in strange ways. It hits when you least expect it, when you're not even looking for it...."

She nodded once, hern od turning into a nuzzle as it came up.

Again, she had a quiet moment, thinking over her words for a moment.
"Eridanus... will you.. Stay with me? For longer.. than just tonight..?" She didn't look at him, just stared off at the sky,.. blushing still.

He was slightly taken aback. This mare certainly was full of surprises. And yet, not surprising... "Analae.... I adore your company... I see no reason why that has to end with tonight...." He looked at the stars, smiling. "I never did like wandering alone... And I didn't realise how much I hated it until I bumped into you..."

Her eyed slid shut, and she paused from walking, nosing him once. "Thank You,... 'once again',... Eri..." She said softly, sweetly. Such a strange mare she could be at times. She nuzzled him softly. she felt,.. extremely content. More than.. ever before.

He stopped with her, his smile widening again as he nuzzled her back. "You don't have to thank me.... Only thank yourself, just for being yourself...." He could hardly believe his luck, to find a mare like this...

She breathed a soft laugh, keeping her eyes shut, as she stayed by him,... by him.. where she hoped to stay, for quite a while.
She'd run off with him, and hide from the Kalona fiend... So she could be happy.
Now, she was too happy to even let the thought of 'any' Kalona, get her down.

He kept her close, feeling her warm coat against his. He let his head rest on hers again and closed his eyes. It really didn;t get more perfect than this...
