I was playing City of Heroes on my sister's account, but kinda got burned out on it after a while (both me and my bf were), so being the gf, I decided that WE should try something new. BF hated WoW because his ol' COH guildmates left COH for WoW, but what I say goes (lol) so we tried it.
Kinda burnt out on WoW again lately, though.. Always in search for new, exciting games.

A friend from this site actually got me into the game. Lol. I remember asking her if it was adicting.. her reply was "No. You can log off easily." She lied. XD

Played Dark Age of Camelot for a few years when a few friends from school had gotten into the closed WoW beta. They kept telling me how it was better then Daoc but I kept refusing to believe them until I played the open beta and became hooked and got the collectors edition the day it came out. I've been on Dragonblight ever since @_@;;!

I played in the beta a bit when I was visiting my boyfriend, but when I went home (long distance relationship) and refused to get it for some reason. When we moved in together he was ALWAYS on it, so I got it as well and am now probably more addicted than he is :p

i was playing runescape at the time and was lvl 100 and had like 60mill so didn't really want to give it up, then my friend bought me the trial disc coz he was getting lonely playing wow by himself and he said the game was 10 times better than rs, i was still reluctant to play but then he said he's pay me £5 if i didn't like it.. SOLD!, and after like 10hours of installation on ma crappy lappy i had back then i created my account and ma first character expecting to hate it and get free money xd , but no luck.. i loved it, still used to go on ma runescape account and wow equally but now ma rs is hacked and banned so it's wow all the way xp . immediately picked a dwarf paladin and he's level 70 and still played about a year and 3 quarters later, along with many other alts.

I was wondering, can you only install Burning Crusade once, or can you install it on multiple computers. Because my cousin has it,and i wanted to barrow it, to install on my computer.

My friend had the game, and would always play it while I was over at her house. It seemed fun, so I asked my parents about it and ended up getting it for Christmas.

a year ago he was like 'd00d come try this game its sick'
so i did, and now i have two 70s, whereas he has yet to have a char past 40. he works too much. :/

My buddy Sean was a big hardcore ********' EQ raider. We're talking dude lost his job, moved back in to his mom's garage and raided once for 20 hours straight. He was trying to get me to play his Cleric when I told him that the game environments didn't draw me in enough, and that the style of the game was just too damn boring.
A couple of his EQ buddies had quit playing to go over to WoW, he started that up and that's pretty much it from there.

My closest friends were addicted to the original Warcraft games. I'm not much of a RTS guy, so most of the time I acted as a cheerleader and watched my friends play. What's always interested me about Warcraft was the storyline and lore. And when Frozen Throne came out with the Rexxar RPG game, I nearly went mental. This is because I love RPG style games. I played that and I was sad that it was so short.
Wehn WoW came out, I got excited about what new lore and such would come out. Sadly, my family isn't much for buying games... stingy bastards. But my best friend got WoW and bought me one with a card as well. He doesn't like to play games alone.
Anyhow, he eventually moved to Guild Wars and I stayed on WoW.
And I love my rogue almost as much as I love anthropology. <3
And I would sell sold my soul for anthropology. ^^

My brother first played the game, I would watch over his shoulder and drool as he went thru many dungeons. Eventually, he stopped playing becase of time, money, etc. After a year I bought the trial and I got hooked.

Erm weird story actually. My ex bf started playing when it came out..he was ranting on about how amazing it was going to be. So I watched ihm playing for the first couple hours..then...I saw....a giant blue blob following a player and I said to myself, "I MUST have one!" And then, a warlock was made. And I have been happy with my Voidwalker Kraktaz ever since.
A story of love. Between demon and undead. xp

My first lock and my first voidwalker Ormdok got deleted when we broke up. *vows to kill ex*.
