"Talk about kicking a downed zebra, Siya," he scoffed, turning his had again, puffing a bit. Hopefully, it was convincing enough that she might believe she had made a wounding blow to his ego concerning his sterility and depression. In fact, he would have taken it seriously if it was true, but he knew he was quite fertile.
Turning his head back, he debated her opinion of choice of where the Goddess' offer. Ubuge offer no such thing to him, but she would have no idea about that, now would she? After all, no one else was there but he and her.
"Really now? Immortal life? Always growing older and older, weaker and weaker, less attractive as time passes on. Why, the beauty I see before me would be a mere memory when I die. To live on, suffering from old age? Wasting memory?" he pointed out. There was a major flaw in immortality, that would be that the body still ages but you are safe from death. It is eternal youth some ask for when accompanying immortality. "However, I did not want to live forever and die. I wanted to get rid of my depression and be the male I used to be . . ."
In a way, that was truthful. He was starting to show it, though not to her, the male he wanted to be. Overly protective male for his female. He had found himself wandering around Kuu's den whenever he was there to assure himself that no other suitor was around to get at her.
"She didn't keep her end of the bargain regardless and I am out a denful of treasures..."

"I didn't actually kick you," she retorted tartly and shoved her nose high into the air, "quit being such a baby. There are worse things in this world than infertility."
It was true, particularly to a cheetah such as she- who had no desire to start a family of her own in this life or the next. Cubs were troublesome, annoying creatures that Siya could never possibly bring herself to enjoy. It would be amusing, she supposed, to whisper lies in their little ears and watch as they turned against each other. But that was where the fun of family life would surely end for her.
"You're right. Eternal youth would be so much better," Siya purred at him, even though she was peeved by the way he'd corrected her. He had a point, of course, but the pale blue cheetah had never liked opposition. If they were not her equals, she preferred her companions to be obedient and compliant. So far, Xana had proved to be nothing but a trickster.
Still, a nagging little feeling at the back of her head reminded her that it might be a good idea to show him kindness. With all his talk of treasure and infertility, it certainly seemed liked she'd found her soul mate. Or, at least, somebody that she could use freely, whenever the mood suited her, and then toss to the side without so much as a blink.
"You poor thing," she cooed softly and took a bold step forwards, seeking to comfort him in order to fulfill her own selfish desires- or was it simply curiosity?

"I ain't being a baby, Siya, I am simply pointing out my flaws and the soul causes of my depression. Is it wrong to be miserable or is it wrong that you have to listen to a grown male whine?"
Xana did not take well to her, but if he wanted what he was after, he will have to do things as she would prefer it. Otherwise, this was just another goose chase where he is left up to dry in the end. Hopefully, in one piece. This infertility lie was perhaps one of the best things he has came up with, one for the books for future reference on any other helpless, stupid, desperate female who wanted to get lucky. It did not matter anyways, she wasn't in heat, that he could tell, so nothing will become of it. Unless some miracle sprouted that she suddenly came into heat by falling for him. Chances of that? Slim-No, impossible.
At least she agreed on something with him. Youth was more important than eternal life. Then again, eternal life, he can mate and have fun more. But that was not what his heart totally wanted. He really did need to find someone, love them, and actually be an adult rather than the deliquent that he is. To be able to protect his family, now that is something with boasting about to others. But these trinkets? They are expendable. However, is Siya? She is a female, she is capable of being his mate, if she allowed, but was he mentally prepared for such a life that so different than what it was before? He said he had given up all his treasures and yet he has more. Hopefully, Kuu doesn't catch onto that.
Too much to think about.
When Siya rose to move towards him, he carefully sat up and blinked.
"You are acting rather strange, Siya... what are you up to? Rub in your own fertility? Be little me some more?"

"Babies whine, Xana," Siya had to mentally remind herself to keep her tone of voice pleasant, "You are whining, therefore you're acting like a baby. It's very strange that you would admit all of your flaws to me so readily. I was under the impression that you thought yourself to be big and... strong."
She was inexperienced when it came to the art of seduction, but she was clever enough to realize that it probably involved a large amount of softly spoken words, compliments and a little bit of eye contact. He could give her something that she thought she might want, and Siya was desperately trying to keep a certain mood going. So far, being this kind to somebody who liked to complain as much as he did was proving to be difficult. Fortunately, she was who she was. And she could manage anything.
"To tell you the truth, I'd rather be infertile," the words were like sugar on her tongue as she took another step closer, and gauged his reaction through half-lidded eyes. She was trying to look coy and sweet at the same time, but was unsure if the expression would work on him or not.

"I am big and strong, it takes a wise one to realize his faults and cover them, possibly make them his strengths. But enough of that..."
He looked at her with a quizzical expression. He honestly did not know what she was up to but his mind buzzed to find out what. It was the side of him that wanted to know regardless of the side effects after but he had been desperately trying to show her the strong, protective, loving male he wanted to be. Failing at it at this point. It did not take long before he got to his own paws and moved toward her. His eyes half closed and brows raised. A soft smile spread across his maw.
"I suppose you will tell me the reason for this?"
It did not take long for him to take steps against her own. Soon, their dance of back and forth will become something more. He simply had to drop the cards and play her.

"It doesn't take wisdom to hide your faults," this time, Siya simply could not resist the urge to scoff at him, "all it takes is a sense of insecurity. Insecurity is not a strength."
She could have cared less about his obvious attempts to change the subject. It had always been difficult for her to avoid confrontation and now, even though she wanted something else from him, the golden-eyed cheetah wasn't about to make any exceptions.
"The reason for what?" she murmured softly and batted her eye-lashes in his direction, in what was one of the most innocent gestures she could muster, "I thought that somebody as handsome as you are would be able to tell when a lady was... interested."

"It throws me off that up 'til now you have been nothing but cruel and belittling towards me that this change to attraction baffles me. I saw the signs, it is that you are acting particularly strange."
Can she be? Is she? How can it be so? He had pulled no tricks. His traps still laid unused. He had not quite made much of an advance toward her, but here she is coming onto him like a female in heat! This was almost too easy and here she is ready to get him and he, in his heart, wanted her. the pleasure of it all was what he sought after, her personal flower was what he planned to steal from her and any male she may find later.
With a smirk and a shrug, he looked at her directly.
"I see the signs, clearly. You want me and I'll let you know that I will take you, if that is what you truly, and utterly wish from me. Just promise me that I won't have to get another item for you during my next return. I may be infertile, but I haven't quite lost my drive."

"Perhaps you are not as clever as you think you are," Siya countered breezily and flicked her tail from side to side in a precise and hypnotic rhythm, like the pendulum of an old grandfather clock, "Perhaps, you misread the signs. I am not a simple, easy little girl. I know what I want, and I take it, when I want to take it. It's never the other way around."
He was confused. She could see it in his eyes and the way the he responded to her advances. Then, something in her eyes flashed darkly when he mentioned not wanting to get her any more presents. Was this what he'd been after all along?
"Whether or not you bring me presents is completely up to you, darling," she said sweetly, "if you're willing to deal with the consequences, or lack of body heat and companionship, then it is of no real loss to me. I could live without your gifts."
A sigh whispered passed her lips as she took a step back and shook her head at him.
"We should sleep, I think, and you can take whatever time you need to think about my so-called strange behavior."

He smirked and raised to his feet. She advanced and it was his turn to do teh same, however, he planned to win with this one. The lanky cheetah moved closer to Siya and grinned. WHat was she getting at? Was she belittling him again?
"I did not misread the signs, Siya, I was just taken back. Gotta give a guy a moment to process and act. I can see that you aren't an easy, little girl, but when I am through with you, which I know won't be for a very... very... very long time, I will know everything about you."
He was challenging her comment about getting whatever she wanted and it was never the other way around. He would show her who got what and who did not. He noticed the dark flash and frowned a little.
"I have a gift that I will give you now, consider it an advance. I may bring you something tomorrow, it really depends on tonight, so we will see what the consquences are."
Xanatos smirked again and looked at her more lustfully, due to her advances, with his sharp orange eyes.
"I suggest you lead the way, Siya."

He was painfully sure of himself. Ah, well, his misconstrued confidence was of no real concern to her. Xana had just issued a challenge that she intended to win, when the time called for it. If she wanted to leave, there would be no stopping her. And, no matter how far or how long he searched, his quest would never sway in his favor. She was too clever.
The other cheetah couldn't possibly know it, but his obvious possessiveness had already turned her slightly sour. She longed to use him and then sneak away, with the knowledge that she may have broken his heart, because there would never be another person that she could belong to. Siya prided herself on her independence, and that was something she'd vowed never to lose.
"Suit yourself," she shrugged simply, as though all his talk about gifts and consequences didn't really matter, "Lead the way to where? I see no reason why we can't sleep here."

Oh how stupid could she be? Had his frequent returns, specifically to this location for her, not signaled anything at all? He was a persistent as the nex-actually, maybe not. Xana had everything planned out. He will spend the night with her and she will be wanting him back. If she did want to leave, she will come back for him. A smirk crossed his maw as he looked around. Good, no one around.
As long as Kuu had no idea, he might have his way of being a happy male with two females and perhaps live up to the life he was looking forward to.
"Well, if you plan to sleep here tonight, I guess we could do so. However, I do believe it's ladies first," He offers her a chance to go first.
"I will reward you later for... everything you've done for me."
What an idiot.

His manners didn't catch her off guard. In fact, with the exception of the occasional retort, Xana had been nothing but very kind to her. Before, she'd distrusted his almost sweet and generous nature. Now, she assumed that it was the only way he knew how to compensate for his lack of fertility. Most girls would find a man who couldn't provide them with children unattractive and even loathsome. Siya found every single one of them, if there had been as many as he eluded to, to be painfully stupid.
Xana could be so useful. For a second, she felt sorry for him.
"You'd better," she chuckled in a good natured fashion as she turned and started to find them a decent place to rest, "or, I'll just take my reward when I see fit."

Siya was a beautiful female. She was feisty, strong, and one with a sharp mind. How he managed to fool her was quite a surprise at time, it seemed the infertility bit was what won her over. After telling her that and backing it up with, what he thought, was a good cause for the disability, she became different. She made advances and became nicer. It worked on her, oh ho ho, it was a trick to keep in the bag for later encounters if he was unfortunate to run into them.
Deep down, he was kicking himself for this after what he did with Kuu. He wanted to be a male that was capable of being admired. To be looked up to as a father. To protect his females with a ferocity to scare any intruder among their territories. To lay beside his female with love and care. ... But would that be possible with what he was doing now?
Primal Desire won.
Xanatos stayed close to his female's side, his tail touching hers lightly as it passed. He had the idea already, the reward was set. Rather she liked it or not, he did not care too much either. She will enjoy it for that brief moment, at least he would. After the bit of hell she put him through... well, karma has a way of working.
Licking her cheek, he purred out the last of his words.
"You, my love, have no idea."
