Simi actually noticed it more this time, her movements, and flushed as he looked up just a bit, so hopefully he wouldn't see the little red that was in his cheeks. That would be something that he didn't want to see. And if she asked, he was uhh...looking up at the birds in the sky, yeah! They distracted him for a moment, that was all.
"Oh, um.....well, I'm sorry that I seemed to not be around for you Tufah, but I'll sure try to help you out now. Just ask, 'kay?" He felt his face even out again, and he looked back down to offer her another genuine smile. Stupid Simi, he felt like he had abandoned his friends for the past few months, he really didn't want to do that again. Speaking of which....
"So are you the only member of your family staying?" he asked, his mind wandering to Tahka. If they were moving, he might never see him again. Simi's opinions of him were still a bit confusing, but Tahka had called him a friend...so shouldn't the feeling be mutual?

"Oh I didn't mean it like that. We've just not met up in so long. Both been busy growing up I suppose... And thankyou. "
She was quick to reassure him. With a twitch of her tail she turned to watch the lions below again - always so many milling about Priderock - and her tail tip twitched intently. A sidelong glance. And then, answers to his question.
"I think maybe one brother might stay but I'm not sure. But Tahka, Sara, Mat, my best friend Noyana, and all their cubs and mates are leaving."

So Tahka was leaving. But...mates? They had cubs already, so young into their lives? While the thought didn't horrify him, persay, but it did take him back for a moment. Everyone that he knew when he was a cub was growing up and moving on. At least the rest of his family hadn't dived into that yet. While he didn't think it would be seen as shameful, it just seemed....fast.
"Well, if your one brother stays, then at least you won't be alone, especially if you share a cave for a while!" he said, offering a smile to hopefully keep her cheerful. Or, well, what he thought was cheerful for her.
Another thought in his mind. Maybe the two of them could go visit sometime, when or if it felt right. That would cheer her up too, right? He'd keep it on his mind for a while, he didn't want to seem too pushy to her about anything. Especially in this hard time for her, he'd rather let her do a bit more of the calls than he just throwing things out without much thought.

"Simi, dear, I haven't shared a den with my family since I was half this size. We just met up regularly."
Tufah laughed softly, amused. Tiah hadn't molly coddled her cubs since the day they were born and Tufah had always taken it upon herself to be independant. Strong. Besides, if she'd shared a den any longer with the twins or Mat (those three were the most intense of her siblings, partly because the last irritated the first two) she'd have gone nuts.
"You still live with your family?"

Simi's face flushed as scarlet as possible, and he made sure to keep the view of his face away from Tufah. Of coruse, because of this, he had to speak just a bit louder, so she could hear him.
"Oh. W-well, yes, I do. Mainly because the cave where we sleep is so large, and. Well. I guess I just don't have a reason to move out, yet."
Stuuuupid Simi. There was nothing to do to get rid of that feeling, but just a bit of time. He'd never forget the sick feeling in his stomache of assuming things, though.

"Must be nice, living with them." She commented. "I'm sure you'll find a good reason to move out eventually."
Tufah let her tail tip twitch twice more before she stood up and stretched her forelegs, flexing her claws. Mmm. It felt good to be up and scheming and everything. She was still sad but no longer stuck in the cycle of mope-sleep-eatlittle-drinklittle-mope. She had her energy back.
"Are you busy this afternoon, Simi? We could go somewhere, hunt or run or looking for treasure." It was a light hearted offer. She could keep up her act all afternoon as it was fun ad he asn't bad company. Or go alone and hunt or find a fight or flirt with the rogues, be her true self. Either way~

Simi's emotions stabled, and he was finally able to turn his head to face her again. Ugh, he quickly felt like he hadn't grown up at all. Why? He wished he could act more cool, more...confident, maybe more like somone Tu- no wait. He was getting ahead of himself here.
"I hope so," he said, wondering if finding his own cave would be a good idea. He didn't really want to leave his mother quite yet, though, but knew that the rest of the family could keep her happy, as well. It wasn't like he would really leave. Hmmm.
He shook himself from his thoughts, though, when he heard Tufah's voice again. "Oh! Umm, no, actually, I'm not. I'd be happy to go somewhere with you, Tufah."

" 'kay" She half-purred and started to walk away, stopping after a few steps and looking back at him. Come along then! Time to go have some fun~

Simi couldn't help but follow right after her as she took another glance at him. Well, it would certainly be fun to have someone to hang out with more again. And it was certain that Tufah would like the attention from him, as well.
