I guess I'll start it off then.
The setting is in early September in the Kanto region of Japan . It's 7:30 in the morning and new girl Sapphire Johnson is at school. When she arrives and steps into the classroom, she sees everyone staring at her.
*pauses then walks to the teacher's desk*
"Hi. My name is Sapphire Johnson and I'm a new student here."

*The teacher gives gesture to sit down*
Kei, one of the students, calls Sapphire out.
"Hey, you can sit by me," she said happily.
*The teacher looks at Kei, and just gives a small nod of approval, and goes back to the board*
"Welcome to our class, my name is Kei," she said looking directly into Sapphire's soul.
During the class, the teacher turns and looks directly at Sapphire. The teacher does not lose focus of her as she kindly speaks up.
"Ms. Johnson, you may introduce yourself at this time," the teacher said keeping the stare. "One more thing, I hope you enjoy our class, we all are good angels, aren't we?" the teacher remarked rhetorically.

*introduces herself*
"Hi, My name is Sapphire Johnson. I'm 17 years old and I'm just moved here to Japan from America. I have a brother who is 20 and is going to college in America. So now I only live with my mom who is a doctor at Tokyo Hospital. I like to draw, sing, playing video games, and listen to music. I mostly listen to rock and I hate classical music. I don't have a dad anymore 'cuz he got shot by a gang when I was little. So...yea- That's all about me....and thanks for listening.*
*the classroom claps after she finishes*
*sits down by Kei*
*puts out hand to shake hands with Kei*
"Hi..nice to meet you Kei and thanks for letting my sit by you"

*shakes your hand and looks deeply into your eyes*
"Nice to meet you, I was new here too. I just started here about a month ago, and it seems like everyone likes me, but I don't know why, oh, I almost forgot, you need this," Kei said, handing a notebook.
*hands over her extra notebook and goes to her bag to pull out another and goes into what looks like a trance*
"Use it well," Kei said curtly.
*the bell rings for an intermission and Kei walks to an outside bench*
The late summer breeze was brushing across the courtyard and the sun warm, the birds chirping, the day seemed perfect, so far at least.

Sapphire takes the notebook and stares deeply at it as she walks out of class and into the schoolyard. Walking to an empty space and checks if no one is looking, she looks at it again.
"Death Note?", she says, very quietly" As in- a notebook of death?"
*flashback*
A long time ago, when Sapphire was still living in America, she heard about someone that goes by the name of Kira in the news. When she heard about him and what he was doing, she had felt like her prayers had been answered.
"It's about time someone started doing something about the crime in this world.",she said to her friend named Angel.
"Yea, I know. But it's kinda scary though if you think about it. Criminals suddenly dying of heart attacks that came from nowhere and-"
"And most people are thankful for that Angel. It's been too long that crime has polluted this world and it's a good idea that someone's doing something about it."
*end of flashback*
The school bell rings to signal everyone to go to their next class. Sapphire stand up and starts walking to her next period, thinking about what Kei said to her.
"Use it well,huh?", she says to herself as she puts the notebook back into her backpack, "I wonder what she meant by that....but I guess I can figure that out later."

*Kei walks back to the school and catches up with Sapphire*
"Hey, hey Sapphire!" Kei says absent-minded.
*out of breath she catches up to her*
"So, how are you liking Japan so far? Isn't it great? I know things can be confusing for you on your first day, but if you ever want to talk, I'll be your good friend to talk to," Kei said curtly.
*she walks back to her next class and sits waiting for the teacher, and feels a pulse of excitement go through her body as she waits*
The sun was warm and the breeze dying, as the sun hid behind a passing cloud, the rays casted a sun ray upon her face.
"The day is going to be interesting..." she says to herself looking out.

(Hope I'm not too late to join. X3 I figured I would join this, but things were busy lately.)
A girl walks into the room. Scanning the room with a credious sigh, she takes a seat. Her aura isn't the most amiable seen yet, but although it has a rough feeling to it, it contains much character and.. down right craziness. (:3)
She straightens the uniform, which she was forced to wear. Actually, even though she had to wear it, she gave it her own little twist. She has a pink skull hair pin in too keep the hair out of her eyes, a tie with the skelanimals, and black combat boots. She smiles, looks aorund and, running a hand through tangled black, red, and pink tresses, she begins to 'take notes' in her notebook. She is actually doodling, but no teacher has ever noticed before. I mean, why should they? She has straight A's.
One green eye and one purplish-blue eye look around. No familar faces. She sighs. This gaze turns towards the window, looking at the cloud. She curses it, wishing it would just vanish. Rain would not help today.

Sapphire walks into the classroom and sees something that changes her eye. She sees a girl dressed in colorful clothing. She says nothing and takes a sit in the back and secretly takes out the Death Note, opens it, and reads it.
"OK. It's time to find out how to use this thing."
*reads to herself*
"How to use it. The person whose name is written in this note shall die.This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind while writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected. if the cause of death is within 40 seconds, it will happen. If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack."
"So...if I write someone's name in here...they'll die in 40 seconds,huh?....Well, I can try it out, but not in a crowded area like school. I'll see if it works in I get home."

Kei's eyes widened and her heart pounds in joy.
"She's reading it, exactly to my plan," Kei said to herself while in class.
Later that night, as Sapphire walks to her house, Ryon appears to her.
*watches Sapphire from a distance, not making eye contact*
"So, I see that you have a very interesting notebook there," Ryon said in the shadows.
*keeps into the shadows, waiting*
"Give it a whirl, Sapphire, you might enjoy it," Ryon said in the shadows, provoking her.

As Sapphire walks home, she sees a group of guys stalking a woman. When woman turns around and starts running, they chase after her.
"Please, leave me alone! I don't want any trouble!" the woman yells
"Hear that Taku, she says doesn't want any trouble." says one guy to his leader.
As Sapphire hides herself, she takes out the Death Note and something to write with. She also take out a spy scope to see ting up close. Suddenly, she sees the full name of the woman's attacker on the back of his jacket.
"Taku Yabushi", she says to herself as she writes his name in the notebook. Then she looks at her watch and waits to see what happens.
"40 seconds, huh? We'll see."
"5 seconds left, 4...3...2...1"
And within that 40 seconds, Taku Yabushi has a heart attack and dies. The rest of the gang runs away scared. Amazed and shocked about what just happened, Sapphire now knew that the Death Note was real. She puts the notebook away and continues on home.

Once again, like always, the girl is wandering the streets. Seeing something rather familiar, she stops. Someone is holding a Death Note!
*Thank Kami-sama!* She exclaims mentally, running over. *so I'm not the only one..*
She stops in front of the other girl, neon pink lips forming a smile. "Hello there. I noticed what'cha did. Neat, ain't it? Oh!" She chuckles nervously. "Getting ahead of myself. My name is Jikai!"

As Sapphire is almost to her house, a girl named Jikai steps in front of her.
"Um..Hi Jikai. I thought no one else was around. And thanks for the compliment...I guess. Um..Bye now", she says in a hurry.
Running very fast, Sapphire finally makes it to her house. Unlocking the door and stepping inside, she closes the it behind her.
*Taking a deep breath*
"Home at last."
"Hello dear, how was school?", her mom asks her.
"Hey mom. School was was pretty much OK today"
"You need anything?"ask her mom.
"No. I'm fine, but thanks for asking."
*goes up to her room and closes the door*

Hey everyone. I know I'm late, but I'mma join you guys. Seems fun. :3

Eye color: One green one purple (changes them with contacts on occasion)
Hair color: Black with many changing highlights
Hairstyle: Normal is up in a bun in the back, but down in the front
Clothing: Varies, but mainly something bright/clashing
Family: none
Past: She was born and raised in Toyko, where she, her father, and her brother lived in a rather large house. Through the years, she developed a sense of 'personallity' and was able to create works of art. Soon, she was signed into some large companies for her artwork. One day, when she was seven, her father and brother were killed. They were just eating breakfast and they died. No one knows how or why it happened.
Trying to forget about this tragedy, she moved to the reigon she now is in. Luckily, her father left he money and a summer hosue to live in.

Personallity: Very hyper, but sadistic for the most part
Appearence: Blonde hair, red eyes, horns, and a black armor with a scarlet cape.

As Sapphire is in her room, she locks the door, goes to her desk and sits down to turn on her laptop computer.
*clicks on private chat room*
*sees someone with the screen name "im_[not]_a_gay" is there *
"Well, well, well. He's here"
"Hello Raito-kun."
"Hello Sapphire. How are you?", Light says.
"I'm fine...sorta."
"What do you mean?", he asks.
"Well...do you know anything about a Death Note?"
*awkward silence*
"Death Note?", he says. "So you too, huh?"
"What do you-....wait, is there something that I need to know?"
"Yes. I am Kira. And I have chosen you to help me create a new world. Later on, you will be visited by a shinigami, but stay calm."
After saying that Light Yagami leaves and Sapphire is speechless.
