Daka's bright, deep blue eyes met Naga'nika's pale green ones and he could see how excited she looked. It was getting easier to forget how far he was getting from home, and not feel anxious, with his two new friends being so happy.
Not knowing Naga'nika like Tiamat did, he just thought she was shy upon first meetings like he was, and that now he was seeing more of whom she really was. Smiling, he laughed at Tiamat's joke, Naga'nika really did like the water and there was no hiding that.
He was going to turn and say something to the paler green cub when he heard the splash. Small fuzzy golden ears turned first as the rest of his head followed to see Naga'nika already in the water.
Getting a little bit wet because of the splash, Daka pounced right in, attempting to splash Naga'nika as well. He wasn't going after Tiamat yet, she hadn't gotten in and he didn't want to get her wet before she wanted to get wet, however, Naga'nika was already wet so he felt she was fair game to splash back.

With the water splashing around her, the little pale green cub was quite happy. Naga'nika loved to play in the water, something she had definitely inherited from her father. Though, her smile was broken to let a look of surprise display across her face as Dakarai had gotten into the water and splashed her. As the water dripped down her face, she stuck out her tongue at him in jest, "You got me!" She went to splash him for a few before her pale eyes went to search for her sister. Tiamat was always up to something, so she didn't doubt that her sister had something up her sleeve.
And Naga'nika was exactly correct in her assumptions. Tiamat was grinning wildly as both her sister and the gold cub played together. Before she had gotten into the water, she wanted to find a point in which she'd get them both wet. Her eyes landed on a small rock to her left. Quietly to not interupt the two playing in the water, she made her way to the rock and climbed up on it. With a wide grin, she pounced into the water close enough to both Naga and Dakarai so that her splash would get them both wet.

For a second, the cub was scared; he was scared that he wasn't supposed to splash Naga'nika because her smile left when he did. Lowering his ears, he was about to apologize when she stuck her tongue out at him and returned the splashing. Ears right back up, he grinned brighter, soaked chest trying to puff up like the brave splashier he was, in his mind. Returning the splashing, making attempts to dodge the water that was returned, he laughed happily.
Curious why she was looking around, he stopped splashing in mid-action and looked around as well having no idea what they were looking for. At first, he didn't see Tiamat and he wondered if she had left them. Then A surprise attack from behind, he let out a small chirp of a roar of surprise followed by laughing and play growling as he looked at Nag'nika for a moment, and then made a swipe at the water to send a splash in Tiamat's direction, "She got us both, Naga'nika!" Now, it was their turn!

Just before Naga'nika could call out a warning to Dakarai, they were both attacked by the water from her sister's splash. She knew her sister had been up to something and she was right. As she shook the water off of her, she glanced at Tiamat before turning to Dakarai, "That she did! I didn't see her at the shore, so I knew she had to be up to something." And then, she had a plan form in her mind. While it wasn't very often that she was actively trying to be the naughty one, her sister's act shouldn't go without some consequence. She spoke to Dakarai, "We should team up against her!"
Glad that she had accomplished her goal, Tiamat let out a peel of giggles before she looked at the two with playful eyes. "I gotcha!" She flicked her tail back and forth slightly in the water before her ears pricked forward. Her sister was going to team up with Dakarai against her? Oh this would be interesting. With a wide grin, "Is that so? Well then, I'll just have to win!" She stood and got prepared to send a pawful of water in their direction.

Daka shook off his soaked pelt, causing him to fuzz up, and make what tiny growings of a mane that he had stand up on end. Spitting out a little bit of water he looked to Naga'nika, using the method he knew most from when he played with his brothers. "I'll distract her, you can sneak around, and we’ll get her." Looking back to Tiamat, it might be the lion in the cub, but leading the charge so to speak felt natural enough, bounding forward like the hares he grew up with, he pounced a few feet from the darker cub, hitting the water with both paws forward to send his own wall of water at her.
There was that same playful growl and a truly fearsome roar, for a mouse.

With a nod of her head, Naga'nika liked Dakarai's idea. It would work, or at least she could see it working on her sister. She waited for when Dakarai had her sister's attention that she went around the cubs as quietly as she could, slinking close to the shallow water as to not be spotted as easily. Once she figured she was out of her sister's view did she glance back at Dakarai, waiting for a good moment to pounce on her sister.
Unaware of the plan that the two cubs had hatched, Tiamat kept her eyes on them before Dakarai's playful growl caught her attention. As she puffed out her chest, she let out a little growl of her own in response to Dakarai's. She couldn't help but to giggle at how little it sounded to her. While she had been doing that, she didn't realize that her sister had left Dakarai's side and was waiting to pounce her as her full attention was back on the male cub. She went to spring a pawful of water in his direction with a smile.

Dakarai kept up his distraction tactic, he happily replied to her little growl with his own, trying to sound fierce. It didn't quite work, his voice was still little and mouseish, but if effort counted he earned an A, at least he thought. Seeing her paw coming to send as wave his way, he countered by using the opposite paw to try and send the water back.
Intimidating as a sopping wet dust bunny, he still tried his best and was having a lot of fun playing with the sisters.

Lime green eyes watched Dakarai keep her sister's attention away from herself. Naga'nika placed herself above her sister and waited for the right moment before she shot forward to pounce on her sister. As she landed on top of Tiamat, they splashed water everywhere. She couldn't help but to smile and giggle happily because, for once, she was the one that got to play a trick on her sister and not the other way around. "Gotcha Naga!" She cried triumphic before looking towards Dakarai with a wide grin, "Teamwork pays off."
As Dakarai countered her attack, Tiamat shook the water that dripped from her head. Her golden eyes were bright with playfulness as she was glad to be having some fun. Though before she was able to splash Dakarai back again, she was tackled. She fell to the ground only to hear that her sister had gotten her. How was this so?! Her golden eyes widen as she looked from her younger sister to Dakarai, they had teamed up on her? She couldn't help but to shake her head and paw at her sister. "Yea, you did get me!"
She smiled before glancing up towards the sky. The sun had moved across the sky and was heading down towards the horizon. They should be getting back home sometime soon or else their parents would worry about them, and Dakarai's parents might worry about him as well. She flicked her tail, "Not that I want to stop having fun, but I think we should all be heading back before we get in trouble." She went towards the bank and shook the water from her.

Dakarai was having a lot of fun himself. It was almost too tempting to look and see where Naga'nika was; however, their carefully laid trick was not going to be blown like that. So he played and growled to keep Tiamat's attention.
As the lighter green cub came flying at her sister, he let out a little victorious cry that was supposed to be a roar. Too happy that it had worked, he didn't even think to be shy about the sound that fell pitifully from what it was supposed to be. Matching Naga'nika's grin with his own, he agreed whole heartedly, "Yep, we made a great team! That was a really good pounce to!"
Hearing Tiamat wasn't mad and had taking them teaming up against her well, he felt even better about the plan and its outcome. In all his fun and playing, he had forgotten all about the time or his pervious anxiety about being so far from his momma. However, with the reminder from one of his new friends, it came crashing home that he needed to get back. "Yeah, we really need to get home." It was hard to say good bye after so much fun, so the golden cub looked to his new friends and said, "Lets play again soon!" Both of them were so much fun, he couldn't help but look forward to the chance of playing with them again.
Pulling himself out of the water, the soaking wet cub dripped for a few moments before shaking to get off the excess water. This in turn made his 'mane' stand up and look a little more like what its supposed to be, but it also sent up the rest of his fur in odd spikes, not that he noticed from not looking at his refection.

Her sister's words caught her offguard. They had really been playing for so long? Naga'nika didn't know since the time seemed to have just flown right by. Though, as they had all gotten out of the water she couldn't help but to giggle softly at how fluffy the water had made Dakarai. At his words, she nodded her head, "Yes! I hope to see you soon, Dakarai!" A smile escaped and spread across her maw before she looked to her sister, waiting for her to get ready as they head on home.
As the trio had said their farewells, the green cub looked at Dakarai with a playful twinkle in her eyes, "Don't worry, we will see each other soon enough!" She paused with an afterthought, "Bye Dakarai!" She watched the golden cub before she glanced over to her sister. "Are you ready, Naga? Let's head home before Mommy discovers us gone!" She flicked her tail before she started to head in the direction of her family's den with her sister trailing not too far behind her.

Dakarai smiled at his new friends, just waiting to see them off before he ran home to his momma. The golden cub did get the feeling Naga'nika was laughing at him when she looked in his direction and giggled. While he didn't know why, he didn't mind much. She was happy and that really was all that mattered.
The white tuft of his tail peaked out from both sides of his little fuzzy and damp body as his golden tail moved by power of his happiness. Smiling full little teeth showing, he moved in to walk with them. Escorting as far as his own den, he bid a final farewell for the day, "Good bye for now!" Unable to wait any longer, the little cub turned and bound into his den going straight for his mother to share the story of his amazing day and spend the rest of the night nuzzling and loving up on the most wonderful lioness in the pridelands, though he thought his new friends were extra wonderful themselves.
